Noah turned his head to look at the door; the person behind that white door wasn't unknown to him.
She was his maid, his personal maid, Rose.
'Her grace? Does she mean the duchess?'
He thought for a bit before giving her permission to come inside.
"You may."
The way he spoke was commanding, and in a tone he was not yet accustomed to, but it still flowed out as naturally as possible.
'I am kind of excited right now.'
He was about to take a real look at his creation. The kind of opportunity that he might never have had the chance to encounter if it were his previous world.
The door before him opened slowly, and a woman, wearing a right body-hugging black and white maid dress, entered the room.
Her head was lowered in respect, not even daring to look at the young lord before her.
Noah looked at her with an unusual cold expression on his face, but inside his head, he couldn't help but admire her beauty.
Rose was his personal maid, the kind selected specifically for him, and for all his needs and whatever needs that may be.
She had short black hair, cleanly cut to her neck length; her eyes were brown, sharp, and not very gentle. Her skin was white like porcelain, smooth and soft, void of any dirt, as if even a slight touch could put dirt on her flawless figure, and a body so hot and sexy that any man would lust over her.
Noah couldn't help but keep looking at her, admiring her beauty.
'A cold and fierce maid, huh?'
She was calm before him, not showing any hint of emotion, but Noah knew more than that.
She was a character in his novel. And he knew she was nowhere close to being gentle.
'She was on Noah's side in the novel, but she never liked him; in fact, she resented him. But in the end, she died alongside Noah because of the soul pact.'
In the nobility of this world, a personal maid had to do a soul pact with his or her master, such that they never betray them and when the master dies, they die with them. This system is used by many, but not all; this was the reason why she died alongside Noah in the story.
'There was no way to destroy the soul pact; otherwise, I might have written that even the maid was taken away by the protagonist. Fuck~ if I don't do anything then my own protagonist will put a green hat on me. It's kind of funny, actually, but first, let's hear what Duchess has to say to me.'
"Speak," Noah spoke in a commanding tone.
Rose, still not daring to lift her head, began to deliver the message.
"Yes, my lord. Her grace has decided that, you should attend the Arcania Academy along with your sister."
Rose spoke solemnly and went silent after delivering the message.
'Arcania Academy... the academy to train the mages and knights, that's the place where the main story took place and all the chaos started.'
Noah thought after he heard the message from the duchess.
Just a while ago, he had fought with his sister about the same thing.
He wanted to attend the academy, but his sister was against this, thinking it would be a disgrace if he went to the academy with the name of Asthor Dukedom behind him.
She wasn't wrong, Noah wasn't good at anything or say, he never tried to do anything. He has yet to even begin his mana gathering journey.
He was lazy, he doesn't have respect for anyone and always thinks that he is the supreme.
'So the duchess still prefers her son, huh? It was like that in my story too, I wanted to write her character a little differently, but then thought... if everyone hates him, why is he still so arrogant? So I write it as such that his mother dotted her son. And from my memories, it won't be wrong if I say that she is kind of obsessed with him, and that too in a not-so-motherly way. Though there is another reason for that.'
While everyone hated him, his mother was the complete opposite of that. It was all because of an incident in his childhood, which changed him and the way he looked at the world.
At the age of 5, he found that his father was having an affair with a maid, and he caught them in the act.
He then proceeded to tell his mother about that, and later found that it wasn't the first time it had happened; his father had cheated on her before, too.
That's why they never had any more children, their marriage was political, not from love, Noah wasn't mature or knowledgeable enough to understand that, but the thought of his father cheating on his mother turned him against his father, so he began to hate him and also the maid who was with his father.
His hatred of them grew more and more, towards the other maids too, thinking that they might be related to them. After that, there was nothing that stopped him; he changed from a sweet and innocent boy to the guy hated by all for his rude and cruel nature.
Everyone started to fear him, and those close to him avoided him. And now, it has reached such a point that, besides his mother, there is probably no one who loves him.
Even his personal maid.
'A guy hated by all... and you want me to seduce all the heroines? Fine, I will do it for the fun of it, I will break them all, making them obsessed with me, and I shall start it from her.'
Noah looked at Rose. She was indeed a fine woman, extremely beautiful, even better looking than the models he used to admire in his world before.
Alas, it wouldn't be so easy to change her feelings when he looked at the heart-shaped icon above her head. He could see the favourability of any character that was before him. And right now, the maid before him had,
[Name: Rose Morrel (Virgin)
Age: 20
Race: Human
Affinity: Shadow
Mana Realm: Gathering Stage, High tier
Lust: 8
Favourability: -20 (Loyal)]
'She is loyal even when he loathed me? I don't know what to feel about this. If not for the soul pact, she might have run away after killing me.'
He was amazed by the favourability and the loyalty she had, but he was still confident.
'In a way, it's better for me that she has such a low favourability. Whatever happens, it won't be any worse. Let's start then.'
