But there was no doubt in it. He really heard what she said, and she did not say no as he had expected.
'The fuck? Is this real?'
He questioned against trying to make it make sense.
Though nothing worked for him.
Still, he acted calm and decided to ask, "What?"
Faced with the question again, Noelle looked him straight in the eye and responded with the same thing, "I accept."
She did not show any fluctuations in her expression. It was still, firm and determined.
If she had hesitated a bit and if her eyes had moved a little, Noah would have known that she was still in denial but only said yes for him not to leave her.
He could have believed it if that had happened, but since it didn't, he became sure of one thing: she was planning something else.
He never hoped he would easily make her agree to his request.
