Chapter 93 - YES

JAY-JAY POV

I was still remembering how I met these idiots.

The vending machine wars.

The hallway breakdowns.

The rooftop confessions. The way Section E turned chaos into comfort.

I was standing in the middle of it all— The aftermath of graduation.

Confetti in my hair.

Mascara smudged. Heart full.

And then Keifer appeared beside me.

Quiet. Focused.

Like the noise didn't touch him.

"Jay," he said, voice low. "Follow me."

I blinked. "Now?"

He nodded. "Now."

So I did.

Because when Keifer says now, it means something's about to change.

We walked past the crowd.

Past Percy loudly arguing with Mayo about who deserved a statue.

Past Ci-N trying to convince Rakki that his confession was "strategically timed."

Past Luna, who was already planning a post-grad party with a spreadsheet and a threat.

Keifer didn't say anything.

Just held my hand.

Led me through the building.

 Up the stairs.

Down a hallway.

To a door I knew too well.

The rooftop.

He pushed it open.

The wind hit us like a memory.

The sky was soft. Blue and gold and quiet.

"Close your eyes," he said.

I hesitated. Then did as he asked.

I heard him move.

Felt the shift in the air.

The sound of something small opening.

The kind of silence that means something big is coming.

"Okay," he whispered. "Open them."

I did.

And there he was.

Keifer.

 In his graduation gown.

On one knee. Holding a ring.

Simple.

Diamond.

Beautiful.

My breath caught.

My heart forgot how to beat.

"Jay," he said, voice shaking just a little.

"I've been an idiot," he said, voice low, eyes locked on mine. "I hurt you. More than once. And still… you chose me." He took a breath. "You taught me what love actually is. You didn't just change my life—you changed me. For the better."

"So… will you marry me?" he asked, voice soft, eyes locked on mine.

I blinked.

Laughed.

 Cried a little.

"Is that even a question?" I whispered, heart pounding.

Then louder— "Yes. A hundred times yes."

My eyes were already red.

 My voice is already shaking.

But my answer?

 Solid.

Real.

Forever.

He got up slowly.

Eyes still locked on mine.

And then he kissed me— Soft.

 Careful.

Like he wanted to memorize it.

Like this kiss wasn't just a promise, but a memory he'd carry forever.

His hands trembled just a little.

 Mine did too.

But the moment didn't.

It was quiet.

Just us.

The wind.

The sky.

And the kind of love that doesn't need noise to be loud.

He kissed me.

Soft.

Careful.

Like he wanted to remember it forever.

His hands trembled just a little.

Mine did too.

But the moment didn't.

It was quiet.

Just us.

The wind.

The sky.

 The ring on my finger.

 The future.

And then— Of course— The rooftop door slammed open.

"OH MY GOD," Percy screamed, voice echoing like a fire alarm. "ARE YOU ENGAGED?!"

I jumped.

 Keifer flinched.

The moment shattered like glass under a marching band.

Percy ran toward us like he was the maid of honor. "I demand to be involved in the wedding planning. I have Pinterest boards. I have spreadsheets. I have vision."

Luna burst in behind him, holding a bouquet made of snack wrappers. "Jay-Jay, I swear to chaos, if you don't let me design your dress, I will riot."

Mayo screamed, "DOES THIS MEAN I'M INVITED TO THE WEDDING?" Then tried to climb the railing to do a celebratory backflip.

Ci-N tackled him mid-air. "Not until Rakki says yes to me, you gremlin!"

Rakki threw her other shoe.

It missed Ci-N and hit Blaster, who was already playing a love song on his speaker. "Worth it," he said, adjusting the volume.

Felix muttered, "Statistically, this is improbable."

 Edrix was livestreaming.

David was crying.

Kit just smiled like he'd known all along.

Jare blinked like he'd walked into a fever dream.

 Denzel's daughter clapped.

Eman threw flower petals made of napkins.

Keifer looked at me.

 I looked at him.

 And we both started laughing.

Because this was our life.

 Our people.

Our chaos.

And somehow, impossibly, beautifully— It was perfect.

We were supposed to leave quietly.

One last bell.

One final wave.

A dignified exit.

Yeah.

 No.

Section E doesn't do quiet.

We do chaos and trouble

The hallway was packed.

Everyone hugging.

Crying.

Screaming.

Mayo was trying to ride a rolling chair out the front doors.

Ci-n hugged me and cried

Felix was trying to calculate how many of us would cry in the next ten minutes.

David was hugging everyone like he was trying to memorize us.

Blaster was playing a mashup of our favorite songs.

Edrix was filming everything.

Kit was writing something in a notebook.

Probably a poem.

Probably devastating.

Keifer held my hand.

The ring on my finger felt warm.

 Real.

Like a promise that didn't need words.

Sir Alivin stood by the doors, trying to look stern.

He failed.

He was crying.

"Section E," he said, voice cracking. "You were… unforgettable."

Drew shouted "We love you sir"

And the whole class joined in.

Even Sir Alivin laughed.

Which was terrifying.

And perfect.

We walked out together.

Not in a line.

Not in silence.

But in a wave of noise and glitter and chaos.

Someone threw confetti.

 Someone screamed.

 Someone tripped.

 It was probably Josh.

We reached the gates.

 The edge of everything.

The place where school ended and life began.

And we stopped.

 Just for a second.

Just long enough to feel it.

The weight.

The love.

The goodbye.

"I'm gonna miss you idiots," I said.

Ci-N saluted.

Mayo cried.

Felix nodded like he'd already run the simulations.

We took one last photo.

 Section E.

Some of us crying.

Some of us laughing.

 All of us loud.

It wasn't perfect.

 It wasn't quiet.

 But it was us.

And as we walked away— Into cars. Into trains. Into futures—

I knew one thing for sure.

We'd always be Section E.

The loudest goodbye.

The best kind.

In the end, I yelled—because of course I did.

"Okay, Section E, listen up!"

They all looked up.

Some mid-laugh.

Some mid-tear.

Some mid-Mayo-wrestling.

But they looked.

"We meet at least once a year," I said, voice steady now. "No matter how busy we are. No matter where we are. We show up."

There was a beat of silence.

Then one by one— They nodded.

Felix first, already calculating dates.

Ci-N, grinning

Everyone

All of them.

My people.

My chaos.

 My forever.

And just like that— It was sealed.

Not the end.

Just a promise.

A beginning disguised as a goodbye.
