All of them were under the rain with no shelter, and Travis became scared this time—scared of pneumonia. It seemed the monsters weren't even the least of their problems anymore; the cold was. The biting wind and sudden frost attacking them shocked Travis.
It almost felt like winter… but not the kind that came normally. No winter came like this.
"We have to find shelter…" Travis announced. Derek went to the twins and carried them while Travis took care of Theodore, who—despite his father being in a vegetative state—didn't cry or whine. He just kept silent, unsettlingly silent. One that Travis didn't find comfortable for his mate.
"Theo, dear, if you're sad, talk it out. Keeping everything in like that isn't good, especially for a little cutie like you." He had explained earlier, but Theo still couldn't change. After all, one doesn't change instantly—it requires time, something Theodore seemed so far off from.
