It's almost getting dark when they finally reunited with the other team. The other team had the same reaction as Vernon's team, but they were much more enthusiastic. All the Sentinels bow down to her. Any uncontracted male must perform the highest federal standard of courtesy when facing a woman, or he will be treated as a Class A criminal. This is federal law, and no one is allowed to transgress it.
The other team's captain is called Renz. Unlike Vernon, he has a much more approachable personality. Vernon has blue hair and blue eyes, while Renz has brown-grey hair and eyes. Both are equally handsome; actually, she hasn't seen a Sentinel with a mediocre appearance. All of them are handsome with different hair and eye colors.
Mira really likes looking at all these handsome Sentinels who, despite having huge stature and bloodthirsty auras, tried their best to be as gentle as they can. Comparing them to the men she met in the previous world, it's like comparing stones to gold. Mira finds them all pleasing to look at. "What a heavenly paradise this is," Mira thought to herself while enjoying the wonderful scenery around her. After entering the spacecraft, Mira marveled at how advanced the technology in this world is. The Sentinels see how amazed Mira is while looking at the spacecraft, and they've found it adorable and pitiful at the same time; this spacecraft is just an ordinary one, and most females would disdain riding in this type of spacecraft. They believe that every female deserves the best, so seeing her like this makes them hate the people who hid her even more.
A phantom door appeared at the front of the spacecraft. In the blink of an eye, she was inside the spacecraft.
The man reached out and placed his palm against the door. Mira saw a lot of data-like things scrolling around. Mira was like a curious cat, looking here and there. After passing through several doors, they arrived at a place that resembled a cockpit.
A huge screen appeared in front of them, surrounded by a dense array of colorful buttons. The man quickly pressed several buttons, and then a huge screen appeared before them.
The screen was divided into many grids, which were probably projections of the spaceship from different angles. Text was scrolling across the screen, moving rather quickly. She didn't understand anything; it was like a jumble of numbers and letters. Mira was still looking when suddenly a Sentinel named Seth approached her. "Miss Guide, we have a medical cabin in here. We noticed that you have some small old wounds. This cabin can cure all diseases as long as they're not genetic and also remove the scars."
"Remove all the scars? That's amazing!" Mira happily went with him and lay down on the medical cabin. Is there a girl who doesn't love beauty? Even though life is hard, she always tried to pamper herself and use beauty products to maintain her skin. It's not for attracting men, but in a society where people judge the way you look and dress, grooming yourself is a must. Even though she had no friends and didn't like socializing, she knew that most people are judgmental.
There's a saying that goes, "Love Yourself." Making yourself pretty is also a way of loving yourself, because every girl should love herself first before she can love others. One thing she learned from her experience is that it's often better to give herself love and gratitude rather than expecting it from others. Pampering herself is a way of showing appreciation for herself. She knew this, but she's only started doing it now, perhaps as a result of being fed up or rebelling against years of feeling unappreciated.
As Mira watched her scars being removed, a wave of sadness washed over her. Some of those wounds were recent, inflicted during her struggles in this place, while others were remnants of her part-time jobs, undertaken to finance her studies. Physical wounds may heal, but emotional scars are far more resistant. Suddenly, memories of her past flooded her mind, and tears began to fall. She was taken aback by her emotions; she thought she'd moved on, thought she was fine, but the pain was merely buried deep within. Perhaps the prospect of her illness being cured gave her the courage to confront her long-buried grievances.
She laughed and cried simultaneously, a bittersweet smile on her face. She'd been deluding herself, pretending to be okay, pretending to have peace, when in reality, she was simply masking her pain with indifference. Deep down, she yearned for her family's love and recognition. In this unfamiliar world, surrounded by strangers, she finally allowed herself to break down and release her pent-up emotions. The sudden surge of feelings caught her off guard, leaving her unable to control her tears.
She allowed herself to drown in her tears, knowing that this was a necessary step towards transformation. After this, she would shed her old self and emerge anew, leaving her past and family behind. Perhaps coming to this place was a blessing in disguise, a chance to start fresh and embark on a new journey. It was as if someone had finally recognized her struggles and rewarded her for her resilience.
Yet, despite this newfound hope, her heart still ached. Was she hesitant to let go of her old life, or was it the bitter taste of hardship that made the sweetness of her newfound fortune feel like a slap in the face? Maybe it wasn't pain she felt, but a sense of injustice, a feeling of having been wronged by life's trials. Or perhaps it was the shock of finding herself in this strange new world. Whatever the reason, her emotions were a jumbled mix of sorrow and relief, a bittersweet release that left her feeling raw and vulnerable.
