Chapter 62 - Chapter 63 – Flight to Fallenhiem

(The Beginning of the Tower Arc)

The sky was breaking.

Angels fell from the clouds like burning meteors, their halos cracking under the weight of Heaven's command. The air above the Academy of Fallen Angels had become a battlefield of light and ruin — Heaven's judgment had arrived faster than anyone imagined.

Cartethyia's voice pierced through the storm, urgent and sharp.

[Lumiel! Multiple celestial signatures converging! Estimated count: forty-nine seraph-class entities!]

"Forty-nine? That's overkill," Lumiel muttered, his crimson wings flaring. "Guess we made an impression."

Daniel, still adapting to his new black-gold wings, clenched his fists. "We can't fight them here. We'll bring the whole city down."

"Then we run," Lumiel said.

The Invasion of Light

The first angel descended like a comet, its voice echoing across the city.

"Lumiel Valentine, Daniel Valentine, Luminous—by decree of the Celestial Choir, your existence is erased!"

Blades of divine light tore through the air, splitting towers like paper. The sky ignited in gold, and the world beneath shuddered.

Changli spread her six black wings, her eyes glowing red.

"They're purging us all," she hissed. "The ritual woke the Tower."

"Tower?" Lumiel asked."The Tower of Aeons—it's opening. We can use its distortion field to escape!"

Escape Through Chaos

They raced through the Academy's burning halls, dodging falling debris and collapsing bridges of light.Luminous froze collapsing beams midair with frostfire, clearing a path.Daniel shielded them with his golden-black wings, deflecting searing rays.

Cartethyia pulsed from Lumiel's amulet.

[I found a spatial rift forming near the southern spire! It leads toward Fallenhiem—the Tower dimension!]"Good," Lumiel said. "We'll trade Heaven for something worse."

They burst into the open courtyard where the Crimson Ark was docked. The airship, now half-ruined, still hummed faintly with residual Red Code.

Lumiel leapt aboard, wings half-spread.

"Cartethyia, full ignition!"[Ignition sequence unstable—]"Just do it!"

The Flight

The Ark roared to life, its engines burning with crimson and gold flame. As it lifted, the angels descended like an avalanche of radiance.

Changli stood at the stern, chanting divine inversion codes.

"Reverse sequence seven—reflect Heaven's will back to itself!"

A sphere of reversed light exploded around them, tearing a hole in the sky.For one breathless instant, the world became a blur of screaming winds and fractured stars.

Lumiel felt his body tearing apart—his wings burning, his veins freezing, his mind splitting. Then, silence.

The Fall Into Another World

They burst through the rift into endless twilight.

Gravity slammed into them like a god's fist. The Ark's hull screamed as it descended through crimson clouds and shattered light.

Below lay a massive floating continent — a city spiraling around a titanic tower that pierced the heavens.Rivers of divine energy flowed like molten gold between obsidian streets. At the tower's base, angelic statues bowed toward the sky, their wings broken.

Luminous whispered, "What… is this place?"Changli's voice trembled for the first time. "The City of the Fallen. Fallenhiem."

Impact

The Ark crashed into one of the outer floating rings, skidding across black stone and collapsing into a crater.Smoke and fire bled into the air.

Cartethyia's voice was faint, distorted.

[Warning: external gravity 9.4 times higher than standard celestial mass. Energy reserves collapsing.]Lumiel groaned, forcing himself up. His wings wouldn't move — too heavy.

Daniel struggled beside him, bleeding gold.

"I can't… even stand…""Welcome to our punishment," Lumiel said, half-smiling.

Arrival of the Fallen Guard

Figures surrounded them — winged beings clad in dark armor, halos cracked, eyes cold. Each carried a weapon forged of mixed light and shadow.

Their leader, a tall fallen seraph with one wing missing, stepped forward.

"New arrivals," he said flatly. "You came through the forbidden gate.""We didn't exactly use the front door," Lumiel rasped."Name?""Lumiel Valentine.""Status?""Hungry."

The guard smirked. "Then you'll fit right in."

He threw them a pair of metallic crests shaped like broken halos.

"Welcome to Fallenhiem. You're F-Class now."

Closing Scene

As the guards led them through the city's outer gates, Lumiel looked up.The Tower of Aeons rose above everything — a spire so tall it pierced the clouds and vanished into heaven's wound. Its surface shimmered with inscriptions older than creation.

Cartethyia whispered weakly:

[Lumiel… that structure isn't built. It's alive.]"Good," Lumiel said quietly. "Then let's wake it up."

He smiled, bloody and determined, as thunder rolled across the twilight sky.Their war with Heaven had ended—and the climb to godhood had begun.
