In a desert scenery, two young men stood facing each other, one with his face betraying exhaustion. The other showed a hint of thrill.
"Hand it over, Lex," the white-haired young man holding a rifle declared with a smirk.
"Bastard, you won't get away with this!" roared the other, with hazel brown hair styled to one side of his face, dark green eyes, and armor strangely of the same color.
"Yeah, the last guy said that as well, but guess what? I did get away, and here I am robbing you!" he laughed and tightened his grip on the trigger. "I won't ask twice, Lex. Hand it over, now," he gestured with his free hand.
"Tsk, do you really think you can escape?! We have eyes everywhere, both here and in real life! We will find you, and when we do, you will regret this! I swear it!" Lex raged, opting for another approach to at the very least stall him.
"I know that, and guess what...."
Bang
He pulled the trigger on his left leg.
"AHHHHHHH!!!!"
"I really don't care. Now, will you hand over the loot peacefully, or do I have to take it from your corpse?" Mark threatened, hovering the gun at his forehead.
"Damn it!"

"So what exactly did you say happened here?" a man in glasses asked, staring at Lex, who was currently receiving treatment from a healer.
"It was that bastard, Endless," he spat, his tone drenched in absolute hate. "He stole the book, HE STOLE A FREAKING SSS RANK BOOK!!!" Lex roared in uncontrolled rage.
"Ha," the man dressed as a clerk sighed. "To think that ungrateful bastard would stab us in the back..." he mused under his breath.
"What do we do, Winston? The captain can't find out about this," a young man with orange-red hair and a spear strapped behind his back asked, his face betraying a mixture of fear and apprehension.
"We find him, and fast. Contact all the branches under our command. Get me his contact details, location, and every single piece of information about him, both real life and online. I want it all," Winston instructed as he stood up to leave.
"Will do," they responded in unison.
"Let's see how much you can hide, Endless."
Chapter 1: A great loot.
Vummmm
The light displayed on the digitalized heargear slowly faded, and Mark regained consciousness. He tapped the switch beside the plush chair of the VR pod, and the transparent lid slid up, giving way for him to exit.
"Hah, I did it," he muttered, then laughed, "I'm freaking rich!"
Mark collapsed on the bed just adjacent to his console. This was his apartment, a one-room self-contained unit. It had the much-needed amenities, though a little rundown, so to speak.
A bathroom he could barely fit into, a kitchen — or what he made out of some used curtain and a bamboo stick — and yes, THIS.
If a slightly greenish sticky liquid that smells so much like poop could be considered water, then yes, he had water.
