The calendar page turned, and the world marched toward its fated date. On February 10th, X777, a formal message from the Heartfilia consortium, arrived at the Fairy Tail guild hall, requesting Blake Corvus's presence at their estate.
Blake, having just returned from a grueling S-Class mission, read the letter with a satisfied smile. It was time. He said his goodbyes to the guild—earning a "Don't get lost!" from Gray, a "Bring me back something interesting!" from Cana, and a "Hmph, don't get soft," from Laxus—and made his way back to the opulent mansion.
Layla greeted him not as a savior but as a business partner. She has already hired the professionals; she led him to a massive, newly constructed workshop on the estate grounds. The team consisted of Fiore's best: runic engineers, magical-alloy blacksmiths, and lacrima-integration specialists.
"Blake-san, these are the men who will turn your vision into reality," Layla said.
For the next two months, Blake was not an S-Class mage; he was an innovator, a project lead. He showed them his designs, spreading the detailed schematics across a massive table. The professionals were skeptical at first—the concepts were alien.
One engineer said. "The magic consumption would be astronomical."
"That's the problem we're here to solve," Blake countered. He didn't have their technical knowledge, but he had the vision. He made specifications that needed to be added to the magic vehicles present right now. They needed to move more efficiently, with less magic consumption.
He laid out the core concepts of the engine which needed to provde enrgy to the vehicle. Second, the power transfer. They need rune-chains that act like gears, transferring power efficiently, not just blasting it all at once.
He stayed with them, involved in the initial process, sketching, arguing, and testing. He described concepts like aerodynamics to mages who had only ever thought of magic resistance. He explained suspension and traction. He helped them forge the base structure, which was needed for the vehicle.
During this two-month-long residency, he made a friend. In the evenings, when his mind was fried from arguing about gear ratios and lacrima-to-power conversion, he would often be found in the Heartfilia gardens.
Lucy, now a bright, curious Eleven-year-old, would find him there. She'd ask him endless questions about Fairy Tail, about his S-Class quests, about his black sword, and about his friends.
Blake, in turn, found her endless energy and optimism a refreshing change from the "it-ca n't-be-done" attitude of the engineers.
He'd tell her stories from his previous life, show her a few simple magic tricks bringing out coin from her ear, and listen to her own stories about her mother's celestial spirits. It was a simple, pure friendship.
After staying for 2 months, the foundation was laid. The engineers, now converted to his vision, had the framework. Blake, confident in their abilities, returned home to Magnolia.
Blake immediately dove back into his S-Class quests, pushing his Haki and his swordsmanship to new limits. He was in the guild hall, laughing with Gray and Cana, when the date on the calendar finally turned.
July 7th, X777.
Far away, at the Heartfilia estate, Layla Heartfilia stood before the Eclipse Gate. Blake's 13th key, Ophiuchus, had helped her in the ritual. Now she was not the desperate, dying woman of the original timeline.
She held her 12 Zodiac Keys aloft. The gate opened. The ritual was a success. And as the celestial mechanism turned, Anna Heartfilia, along with seven young Dragon Slayers, arrived from 400 years in the past, successfully.
Layla, her duty complete, did not collapse. She did not die. She simply... fainted from exhaustion, but she was alive.
A week after opening the gate, the guild doors burst open. Master Makarov returned from a Council meeting, but he wasn't alone. He was dragging a small, spikey, pink-haired boy by the scruff of his neck.
"Everyone, this little brat was found by me! His name is Natsu! He's our newest member!"
The boy, Natsu, looked around the guild with wild, feral eyes, sniffing the air. He joined the guild and immediately pointed a finger at the biggest person in the room.
"You!" he yelled at Gildarts, who was quietly drinking at the bar. "You look strong! Fight me!"
Gildarts sighed, not even turning around. He gave a casual, one-fisted backhand. The whomp of air sent Natsu flying into the far wall with a one-punch KO.
Natsu was out for an hour, woke up, and immediately started challenging every member of the guild, from Laxus (who electrocuted him) to Erza (who punched him) to Gray (who started an epic, childish rivalry that very day).
Blake watched from his stool, a nostalgic smile on his face. The main character had finally arrived. The real story was about to begin.
Time passed. The guild swelled with its new, chaotic energy. The next S-Class Exams arrived. And just as Blake had predicted, Laxus, his rage tempered by his defeat and his rivalry, passed the trial with overwhelming power, finally achieving his goal of becoming an S-Class member of the guild.
Then, on January 8th, X778, another message arrived from Layla Heartfilia. "The vehicle prototypes are finished. You can come and try them."
Blake was at the estate by the next day. Layla and the lead engineer met him in the now-massive R&D facility. There, gleaming under the lights, were three vehicles.
"As requested," the engineer said, puffing with pride. "The 'Convertible' is fast and agile. The 'SUV' is a high-clearance and magically-reinforced chassis for off-road mage work. And the 'Van'—a cargo-hauler."
Blake's inner car-enthusiast was giddy. He spent the entire day riding all three of them. The convertible was fast, but its crystal consumption was high. The van was sturdy, but handled like a brick. The SUV was the clear winner.
He returned, his hair wind-blown, and gave some modifications notes. "The efficiency on the convertible is too low; tweak the runic gearing. The SUV needs a tighter turning radius. But this... this is a success."
Layla was beaming. "Once the modifications are made, the production of the vehicles will start. We will start selling the vehicles within six months. Heartfilia-Corvus Motors is officially born."
Blake nodded. "Good. Now... about my personal project."
He unrolled a new set of schematics, which he had spent months perfecting. He showed the workers the Lamborghini Urus design.
"This one isn't for the public," Blake said. "This one is for me." He gave them his detailed specification. "I want the interior lined with vulcan-hide leather. Can you do it?"
The chief engineer looked at the aggressive, alien design. He grinned. "It will be done in 3 months."
After three months, Blake got the message: "Your car is ready."
He didn't take the train. He used Geppo and Soru, crossing Fiore in a matter of hours, his heart pounding with an excitement he hadn't felt since he first unlocked his Haki.
He arrived at the Heartfilia factory. The workers led him to a private garage. And there it was.
It was a beast. It was a Lamborghini Urus, perfect in every detail, its color a deep, forest dark green that seemed to drink the light. The lines were aggressive, the stance low and wide. It was a predator, a perfect fusion of his past life's engineering and this life's magic.
"We clocked it, sir," the engineer said, his voice trembling with pride. "It can cruise easily at 150km/hr. We hit a high speed of 310km/hr before we ran out of road. And the acceleration... 0 to 80km/hr in 3 seconds."
Blake ran a hand along the cool metal. He opened the door, sat in the driver's seat, and gripped the wheel. It felt... right. He inserted the high-yield mana crystal into the console. The machine hummed to life, not with a roar of gas, but with the clean, powerful thrum of contained magic.
He took it for a ride. The acceleration was breathtaking. It pinned him to his seat, the world blurring past in a streak of green. It was faster than a train, more comfortable than a wyvern, and infinitely cooler. He was satisfied.
He drove the Urus back to the Heartfilia mansion, its engine a low, predatory growl. He pulled up to the front steps, where Layla and Lucy greeted him.
Layla was impressed, but Lucy's eyes were as wide as dinner plates. She had never seen anything so beautiful, so fast, so cool. She wanted to go on a ride in it.
"Blake! Blake! Can we go?! Please, please, please?!"
Blake chuckled. "Of Course, my lady." He leaned over and opened the passenger door. "Buckle up."
He took her for a ride, a quick five-mile loop, fast enough to make her scream with delight, but safe enough to keep Layla from having a heart attack. He showed her how the lacrima-powered radio worked, and how the windows went down with the push of a rune.
Then, after dropping her back at home, he waved goodbye to the Heartfilia family. It was time to show his other family.
He got back in the Urus, the dark green beast humming with power. He pointed it north-west, toward Magnolia. He pressed his foot to the floor. The acceleration was instant, the magical engine roaring to life.
He drove the Urus straight to Magnolia, not stopping, not slowing. He tore through the streets of the city, a dark green blur that had the citizens stopping and staring, wondering what kind of low-flying monster it was.
He didn't stop until he slammed on the brakes, the magical tires screeching, skidding to a perfect stop exactly one inch from the front doors of the Fairy Tail guild hall.
He cut the engine. The sudden silence was deafening.
