Chapter 24 - CP9 Arrives

West Blue, 104th Naval Branch.

The sea breeze was cold, and occasionally a few seagulls flew by and played around.

A warship flying the flag of the World Government slowly docked at the port.

After a long time, a group of people in black suits and top hats walked down from the warship. The leader had a gray striped coat draped over his shoulders, long black curly hair, and there seemed to be only a few words written on his face: "I am not a good person"!

A quarter of an hour ago.

"Report to Captain Alan! A World Government ship is approaching the 104th Branch base!"

A navy soldier was saluting respectfully and reporting to Alan.

A trace of surprise flashed across Alan's eyes, and then he looked at the soldiers below and ordered:

"I understand. Go inform Captains Gion and Kake..."

"Yes!!" The soldier who received the order immediately withdrew.

After Alan stood up, he put on the cloak with the rank of Captain printed on it, frowning.

"Headquarters didn't call, which means we don't know about it?!"

"...Could it be that Nico Olvia has escaped back to O'Hara?"

What is coming will come sooner or later, Alan sighed and headed straight for the port.

As a member of the World Government, he represents the authority of the World Government. As a senior leader of the Navy Organization, he will still give this face.

As for why Gion and Kake were called, it was simply to test the waters.

As direct subordinates of Admiral Sengoku, if there is any movement in the headquarters of Marinford, they will be notified in the next second.

Logically speaking, if it is really related to O'Hara, Sengoku must be one of the insiders. After all, only the Admirals have the authority to issue the "Buster Call".

"Why are people from the World Government here with you?" Gion asked puzzledly, stroking her chin with her jade hand.

Alan spread his hands helplessly, with a look on his face that said, "If you ask me, who should I ask?"

Well, it seems that Gion doesn't know, so it's not O'Hara's business.

So his target is most likely me? !

An absurd but reasonable conclusion popped into Alan's mind.

Time goes back to the present.

Alan looked at the man in front of him, who looked like a corrupt official, but he still walked forward and stretched out his hand and said:

"Hello, I am Captain Alan Drake of the 104th Marine Division."

The man immediately began to look at the person in front of him, with a hint of disdain in his eyes, but he still shook hands and said:

"I am Spandine, the chief executive of the CP9 organization affiliated with the World Government!"

In Spandine's eyes, he looked down upon a small West Blue Captain. If it weren't for the needs of his mission, would a small Captain be worthy of seeing me?

Spandine?!

Alan frowned slightly, as if his mind was recalling memories related to him.

finally!!

I remember it!

He is the one with a despicable character, who is afraid of death and thinks only of promotion, power and wealth. He always puts his own life and safety first and doesn't care about the lives of civilians at all. He will do anything to complete his mission!

...of Spandine?!

Spandine: ヾ(。`Д´。)ノ彡You curse so filthy...

Even though he thought so, Alan still showed an enthusiastic expression, and a fierce look flashed in his eyes!

"So it's Master Spandine from CP9! I've heard so much about you..."

Seeing that Alan was quite sensible, Spandine no longer had the arrogant attitude he had just had.

He looked at Gion and Kake behind Alan...

Hey!!

Why does it look familiar?!

After two and a half minutes of contemplation, he remembered the identities of the two people.

"Aren't these Captains Gion and Kake, the elites of the Marine Headquarters?"

When facing Gion Kake and the other man, Spandine did not show any of his previous arrogance. It was obvious that he was well versed in the ways of being an official, and the two people in front of him obviously had a bright future.

The tactic of praising the powerful and looking down on the weak is perfectly demonstrated.

Although Gion couldn't stand this kind of lackey who took advantage of his power to bully others, she nodded politely out of upbringing.

"Mr. Spandine."

Kake simply turned his head away, looking nonchalant, and didn't even glance at Spandine.

Spandine was not angry. He turned to look at Alan, then glanced at Gion and Kake.

"Captain Alan, please find a quiet room... so we can talk alone."

Sure enough, it's directed at me! This shouldn't be the case...

Alan gave a look to West next to him.

The two have been together for many years, West understood immediately and turned away.

"Lord Spandine... please!" Alan couldn't help but chuckle and led the way.

Seeing this, Gion Kake and the other man did not follow him. After all, what he said was so obvious.

"Why would the World Government's lackeys look for Alan alone..." Kake whispered beside Gion as he watched the people leaving.

Gion immediately pulled out a Den Den Mushi, "CP9's arrival needs to be reported to Admiral Sengoku!"

"Well... not really, right?"

Gion rolled her eyes at him unhappily, "Did you see anything good happen when the CP organization went out that time?"

Then...

Marine Headquarters, Marineford, Admiral's Office.

Sengoku said seriously:

"Well... I understand. Don't worry about this matter..."

This nonsense CP is like a mad dog, wanting to bite everyone they see. If you are involved in the scenic area, won't your sister Tsuru let me go?!

"But..."

Just as Gion was about to explain himself, her voice came out of the Den Den Mushi, but was interrupted by Sengoku.

"No buts! ...I'll take care of this."

After all, Sengoku still likes Alan, a little guy who is quite outstanding in both political skills and personal strength.

As for how to solve it?

After hanging up the Den Den Mushi, Sengoku slowly pulled out a Den Den Mushi from the drawer...

"Don't worry...we like that little guy too."

"If that story is proven to be true... and he has been working in the West Blue, wouldn't it be easier for us to use him?!"

Listening to the majestic voice of the Den Den Mushi, a trace of pity flashed through Sengoku's mind and he said:

"...But he's only 18!"

Sengoku felt heartbroken. What they meant was that they wanted Alan to witness the dark side of the "justice" navy in advance.

They have all experienced this scene and know how difficult it is to make such a decision!

An irresistible voice came from the Den Den Mushi:

"He's a Marine first and foremost, we just need someone who follows orders!!"

Quack! !

Den Den Mushi communication was interrupted.

In the huge office, only Sengoku was sitting in the chair in a daze.

"Aren't they afraid of forcing out a second Dragon?!"

In this situation, as the current admiral of the navy and the current highest combat power, Sengoku still feels powerless.

In the eyes of the Sengoku, Alan is an extremely talented navy. Although his way of doing things has some problems, in time, he will become a rising star of the navy like Kuzan, Sakazuki, and Borsalino.

Now Sengoku is really afraid that Alan will make the "wrong" choice.

He personally witnessed the birth of Monkey D. Dragon, a talented navy man who was a contemporary of Sakazuki and defected from the navy!
