Chapter 99 - Chapter 99: Green Baby

Kujo Jotaro's unconsciousness plunged the scene into a brief moment of panic.

"Mr. Jotaro! What's wrong? Are you injured? I'll heal you right now!"

Higashikata Josuke cried out anxiously, and Crazy Diamond's fists once again enveloped Jotaro. But no matter how much he pounded, Jotaro didn't wake up, no matter how much he recovered.

"Big Brother Jotaro, what's wrong?!"

"Big Brother Jotaro, please don't be hurt!" Okuyasu and Koichi also gathered around, their faces full of worry.

However, although Jotaro's wounds healed rapidly, he showed no signs of waking up. He merely slept soundly, breathing steadily, like an ordinary person in a deep slumber.

"It's no use... I can't heal him..." Josuke's voice carried a sense of powerlessness. "It's not a physical injury... His body is perfectly healthy, but he just can't wake up..."

Koichi suddenly remembered something and pulled out the two discs he had picked up in the chaos: a Stand disc depicting weather symbols, and a white disc containing someone's memories.

"Is it this?" Koichi handed the memory disc to Josuke. "That priest just now... he seemed to take something similar from Mr. Jotaro's head!"

...The next day, in a dilapidated warehouse on the outskirts of the city.

Father Enrico Pucci stood in a dimly lit corner. John G. stood beside him, excitedly looking at the bone and disc in the priest's hand.

The priest's shoulder wound had been simply treated, and his face was pale, but his eyes were also burning with fervor.

In his hand, he was toying with a Stand disc that exuded a chilling aura—engraved with a twisted soul pattern, it was [Ghost Aztec], the Stand that could revive corpses and summon spirits.

(Actually, I'm not sure if they were spirits or just corpses; I didn't quite understand that thing, but the Stand User still had consciousness, so they should be spirits.)

"Resurrection will be completed soon. As long as this finger bone is revived, the plan can proceed. By then, Dio will not only be resurrected but will also possess unparalleled power."

Pucci whispered, his gaze sweeping over the corner of the warehouse.

There, a ragged homeless man with vacant eyes was curled up. It seemed that due to long-term drug abuse and mental trauma, he had lost most of his self-awareness, and his intelligence was probably not much different from a frog's now.

"Whitesnake, give me a command disc..."

A cold smile played on Pucci's lips. He walked forward and, under the homeless man's terrified and bewildered gaze, slowly pressed the [Ghost Aztec] disc into his forehead, then inserted the command disc.

The homeless man's body trembled violently. He barely managed to contain the Stand; the disc did not pop out.

"Now, use the Stand's power to revive it!"

Pucci commanded, simultaneously placing a finger bone into the homeless man's hand. As the Stand ability activated, these implanted bones immediately came alive, instantly dissolving and devouring the homeless man's hand.

Then, to the priest's shock, it began to act on its own. The bone shot out directly, but after a moment of stunned, the priest's face lit up with joy. "Don't stop it, just follow it and see where it goes."

Several hours later, inside the local prison.

The alarm shrieked, but not because of a riot or escape. A supernatural horror was spreading.

Under the scorching sun, an unspeakable terror was spreading.

In the core area of the prison, a bizarre sight was unfolding: trees were growing.

In the prison, thirty-six prisoners who had committed heinous crimes and whose souls were filled with filth and evil began to undergo a strange transformation.

They were twisting, and under the sunlight, trees and flowers grew from their bodies. No, it should be said that they themselves became trees, with tiny flowers growing on them.

And they themselves became the nourishment for the flowers.

And they had all just been touched by the finger bone. The faint glow of the finger bone greedily absorbed the spiritual nourishment from these "great sinners."

As it absorbed, the finger bone seemed to come alive... These prisoners ultimately transformed into pale, twisted, eerie trees, rooted in the prison's concrete floor. These "trees of sinners" stood silently, exuding an aura of death and ominousness.

And the priest and John G., along with the remaining living Stand Users who were Dio's subordinates, were all here. They were waiting.

Each of them looked excited, immensely thrilled, and a true hope arose in their hearts. Before, when the priest said Lord Dio could be resurrected, they were half-believing, only coming out of trust in his identity as Lord Dio's close friend.

But now, Lord Dio was truly being resurrected little by little, and according to the priest, this was Lord Dio's final plan from his lifetime. Once this plan was completed, they would all go to Heaven.

They would attain true, eternal peace of mind, and Lord Dio would become a true god on earth, their true savior!

They watched as fruit slowly grew on the trees, a translucent fruit, symbolizing their master, the savior of villains, Dio's fruit.

The fruit slowly swelled and deformed, eventually transforming into a baby-like form, entirely pale green with tightly closed eyes.

Green Baby had begun to be born!

"It's a success... With thirty-six sinful souls as sacrifices, relying on Lord Dio's immortal fragments, a new 'foundation' has been laid..."

The priest murmured to himself, looking at the gradually growing and forming Green Baby. He continued to read Jotaro's disc again.

The 14 secret phrases were ready.

Finally, when the fruit had finished growing, its translucent outer shell began to crumble little by little. The Green Baby with slender eyelashes started to blink, seemingly having gained consciousness.

Its red pupils darted around, and a Stand appeared beside it, scanning its surroundings, seemingly detecting danger.

When the translucent fruit shell completely peeled away, and the Green Baby was fully exposed under the scorching sun.

A strange power began to manifest.

Father Enrico Pucci took a deep breath, suppressing the excitement and a hint of instinctive fear within him.

He knew that this was the crucial point of destiny, the moment when the ladder to "Heaven" truly descended. As long as this step was completed, the plan could officially proceed, as long as they went to the final gravitational point.

The Heaven Plan could be realized; this was the turning point of destiny.

He took a step forward, ignoring the breathless gazes of Dio's remaining followers behind him, his eyes fixed on the Green Baby.

He cleared his throat and began to recite, walking step by step towards the Green Baby, his body gradually shrinking.

"Spiral staircase."

Hearing his voice, the Green Baby turned to look at him, revealing curious eyes. It did nothing, but kept watching him, and the priest stopped shrinking, returning to his normal size.

"Rhinoceros beetle."

"Ruined street."

"Fig tart."

"Rhinoceros beetle."

"Dolorosa."

"Rhinoceros beetle."

"Singularity."

At this point, Whitesnake suddenly appeared beside the priest. He slashed open the priest's palm, pulled out a bone, and handed it to the priest.

"Giotto."

"Angel."

By now, listening to these words and watching the bone pulled out by the priest, the Green Baby let out a faint, inhuman whimper, but did not do much. The priest only continued to advance, his eyes growing firmer.

At the same time, sweat subtly beaded on his forehead, and the tension and excitement in his heart were almost impossible to suppress.

"Hydrangea."

"Rhinoceros beetle."

"Singularity."

"Secret Emperor."

When the last secret phrase fell, it was as if some invisible lock had been opened.

The curiosity in the Green Baby's eyes vanished, replaced by a clear longing...
