Immortal Demon Shen reviewed his list of questions and provided answers.
"Question: Why is the Central Origin Field located at the centre of the Universe? Answer: The Central Origin Field is at the centre because it was the first Origin Field created by Tian Dao."
"Question: Why do other Origin Fields surround the Central Origin Field? Answer: The Central Origin Field contains the Nursery and the central computer, both of which require adequate protection from external forces."
"Question: How did Tian Dao come into being? Answer: The origins of Tian Dao are unknown—even to Tian Dao itself."
"Question: What are the rules? Answer: The rules are our laws. Detailed information about them can be found in the Basic Knowledge. Please ensure you never break these rules."
"Question: Why do the Celestials reward good behaviour, while the Infernals punish bad behaviour? Answer: This distinction is based on what each Clan represents."
Mortal Elder Kyle reviewed his notes and began his response.
"Question: What are the Councils? Answer: The Councils are the governing bodies of our Classes and Clans."
"Question: What does each Clan represent? Answer: The Celestial Clan represents Merit, as defined by the Hall of Merit within the Celestial Origin. The Infernal Clan enforces punishments for Sinners, defined by the Abyss in the Infernal Origin. The Immortal Clan embodies Knowledge, represented by the Hall of Knowledge within the Immortal Origin. The Mortal Clan stands for Commerce, as defined by the Treasury, located in the Mortal Origin."
"Question: Where do we store our belongings? Answer: Everyone has an inventory that offers unlimited storage capacity."
Mortal Demon Sean addressed the questions on his list.
"Question: Are there Clan-specific Classes? Answer: Yes. The Immortal Clan has the Scribe and Librarian Classes; the Mortal Clan has the Merchant and Treasurer Classes; the Celestial Clan has the Merit Keeper and Paladin Classes; and the Infernal Clan has the Warden and Inquisitor Classes."
"Question: Are other Universes also being invaded by hostile forces through Gates? Answer: Yes. Universes classified as Friendly often request our assistance and allow us to relocate those Gates to our Pocket Dimension."
"Question: Are there any taboo Bloodlines? Answer: No Bloodlines are deemed taboo."
Infernal Elder Caine glanced at his screen.
"Question: What is the Judgement Trial? Answer: The Judgement Trial is presided over by Tian Dao and assesses an individual's crimes to determine a suitable punishment."
"Question: How are Children punished for breaking the rules? Answer: Children are taken to the Abyss for a sightseeing tour, after which they undergo labour reform."
"Question: What kind of weapons are wielded by the Clans? Answer: They use every kind of weapon imaginable and then some."
"Question: Do Infernals have any bad habits? Answer: Hehe."
Infernal Demon Lucifer checked her list and noted that she had not received any questions, but had received responses to their mission request. "According to the information, we have positive responses from one pair from each Clan. They are available to come now. Shall I invite them?"
The Elders agreed the guests should wear cloaks to avoid startling the Children, and also that the Twin Demons should merge.
Infernal Demon Lucifer nodded and typed away at her screen. "We have ten minutes before they arrive; it would be best to prepare."
"Children, you have heard the news. We have Slayers and Twin Demons coming in ten minutes. Please finish writing your current questions, place them on the table, and get ready to receive our guests," Celestial Elder Soleil announced.
The Children nodded, bowed over their papers, and scribbled furiously. After several minutes, they finished their questions and placed them as instructed.
Suddenly, eight giant, cloaked beings appeared around the platform.
"Thank you, Slayers and Twin Demons, for agreeing to the Children's request," the Elders said, bowing and greeting the newcomers, who nodded in response.
"The information provided stated that we were to cooperate with a show-and-tell so the Children can learn more about us?" asked a black-cloaked being in a gravelly voice.
"That is correct: we will begin with the Immortals, followed by the Mortals, the Celestials, and finally the Infernals," replied Celestial Elder Soleil.
"Agreed," said a brown-cloaked being amicably.
"Please be seated and enjoy refreshments while awaiting your turn. I will operate the screen to highlight the points for the Children. At the end of your turn, there may be questions from the Children, which I will answer; if I cannot, please feel free to help," Celestial Elder Soleil explained. The beings nodded in agreement and sat in the chairs provided, with a laid table in front of them.
"Now then, Children, are you excited for this?" Celestial Elder Soleil asked. The Children cheered and applauded.
"Hah, this batch of Children is quite adventurous. I see ten Twin Demons present, and, oh... There are two Slayers. Could the others confirm this?" a white-cloaked being said kindly, with a hint of surprise. The others nodded in confirmation.
"I can see how this batch made Infernal Elder Caine blush," the black-cloaked being added in his gravelly voice.
Infernal Elder Caine scratched the back of his head as everyone laughed. The Children giggled and clapped.
When everyone quieted, Celestial Elder Soleil gestured to the Immortal Slayer, who stood up as Soleil introduced the show-and-tell, and removed his cloak.
"Let us begin. As explained earlier, all Slayers are Gers and all Twin Demons are male. They are the only gender-specific Classes. Our first Slayer is an Immortal Slayer. His colouring follows that of the Immortal Clan, with one distinction: all Slayers and Twin Demons possess metallic colourings due to their Bloodlines, and Slayers have a metallic Deep Violet as their Class colour."
"Slayers have halos that float about ten inches above their heads; the halo's colour matches their Clan. Their hair features Clan and accessory colours in the front third, with the remainder in their Class colour. Their eyes, eyelashes, and eyebrows match their Class or accessory colours. All Slayers have upper incisor fangs that extend one inch below their upper lips. Their pointed ears have outer shells covered by a solid cuff in their accessory colour."
"Slayers' chests are covered, but their shoulders, upper arms, backs, and stomachs are bare, except for the crystals adorning them. On their backs are feathered wings tattooed in the Clan colour, with hues in their accessory colour. Armour covers their lower arms and hands. Their lower bodies are clad in a battle skirt similar to that of the Demons, in their Clan colour, with the outer sides of their legs visible."
"The most significant difference is that Slayers' clothing features a motif in their accessory colour. Their feet are bare, while their shins are protected with armoured shin guards. Their crystals match their Class colour. Most Slayers have ten crystals, though a few may have additional ones."
"As mentioned, all have a Battle Form. Slayers and Twin Demons have two: their Base Battle Form and an Ultimate (Advanced) Battle Form. The Immortal Slayer will demonstrate his Base Battle Form as I explain."
The Immortal Slayer changed into his Base Battle Form.
"As you see, the Slayer's Base Battle Form features a pair of large, feathered wings in his Clan colour, accented with a shimmer of his accessory colour. The rest of his appearance remains the same. In this form, his base Stats are doubled. Now, the Immortal Slayer will transform into his Advanced Battle Form."
Celestial Elder Soleil gestured, and the Immortal Slayer complied.
"Now, the Immortal Slayer is in his Advanced Battle Form. There are visible differences: he now has nine pairs of large, feathered wings, and Runic tattoos have appeared in his Class colour. There are no other changes."
"Thank you, Immortal Slayer, for your assistance. That concludes the lecture on the Immortal Slayer. Children, you may now ask questions."
Celestial Elder Soleil thanked the Immortal Slayer, who returned to his standard form and sat down.
The Children wrote their questions and gave them to the servants, who passed them along. Celestial Elder Soleil added screens in front of the Slayers and Twin Demons as the questions were sorted.
Everyone reviewed and discussed the questions.
"Well then, Children, your questions are truly ingenious. I won't be able to answer them all, so for this round, the Immortal Slayer will answer those you just submitted." Celestial Elder Soleil announced, then nodded to the Immortal Slayer."
"My height is fifteen feet, and my wingspan is about eighty feet. I'm twenty-eight years old. Yes, my Mate will tear anyone apart if they get too close to me for his comfort. Yes, my Advanced Battle Form increases my base Stats even further: the first form doubles them, and the second form doubles them again. Celestial Elder Soleil did forget to mention that. I can fly in both forms."
"You cannot see up my Battle Skirt, no matter your viewpoint. I never feel cold or chilly. Once fully Awakened, you are unaffected by external temperatures. Mammys can make cloaks with special hoods for any kind of horns or halos."
"My Bloodline, like those of other Slayers, is Archangel; the Clan name precedes Archangel for distinction. So mine is Immortal Archangel. I am more aggressive than most Immortals, but that's due to my Class. I am still less aggressive than a regular Infernal, such as Infernal Elder Caine."
"A Slayer's strength is sufficient to obliterate a Universe and restore it, including its inhabitants, to their original state. Slayers can do everything the other Classes can and more. Slayers have stealth on a level that allows us to evade any entity—including Tian Dao."
Celestial Elder Soleil gestured to the Immortal Twin Demon, who stood and removed his cloak.
"As you see, Twin Demons are large, densely muscled beings. Their enormous horns extend from the forehead to the back of the head, curving upward and forward, ending in sharp points. When merged, they have four horns; when separated, two. Between their horns are orbs of metallic, accessory-coloured fire, signifying their Bloodline."
"Their upper and lower jaws each have incisor fangs that extend two inches beyond their lips. Fused, they have two sets of arms; separated, only one. Like regular Demons, they have Runic tattoos in their accessory colour, but with a metallic sheen. Their skin reflects their Clan's metallic-tinted colouring. Their hair, eyes, and nails match their accessory colour and shine with a metallic hue. They wear Battle Skirts matching their Clan colour, accented with metallic highlights."
"In addition, they have armoured gauntlets and shin protectors in their accessory colour, also metallic. Their feet are bare." Celestial Elder Soleil signalled to the Immortal Twin Demon, who nodded before transforming into his Base Battle Form."
"As mentioned, Twin Demons have two Battle Forms. Now, the Twin Demon is in his Base Battle Form. In this state, traits intensify and new ones emerge. His skin reveals scales in his Clan colour, with Runic tattoos still visible. The horns and orbs of fire grow. The fangs extend by another inch, musculature becomes more defined, wings enlarge and sprout sharp nails, and a tail appears below the last crystal on his back, aiding balance and serving as a weapon."
"Knees and ankles invert, with the feet becoming talon-like—each foot has four forward-facing toes and one pointing backwards, each with a sharp claw-like nail."
Celestial Elder Soleil gestured, and the Twin Demon transformed into his Advanced Battle Form.
"Now the Twin Demon is in his Ultimate Form. The horns are even larger and jagged. The orbs of fire have grown, and the musculature is bulkier and more defined. Scales have become sharper, shifting with each muscle movement. The upper and lower fangs have lengthened by yet another inch. Wings have increased from one pair to nine pairs, now covered in scales with enlarged claws. The tail is thicker and ends in a saw-blade structure with four blades. Feet and claws are bigger and deadlier."
Celestial Elder Soleil finished, signalling the Twin Demon to return to his standard form.
"Once again, please write down your questions and give them to the servants. The Immortal Twin Demon will answer them."
The Children complied, and the Elders collected and sorted the questions.
"The orbs of fire only burn what is malicious to me. I am two feet taller than my Mate and the same age as him. Demons have the Demon Bloodline, while Twin Demons have the Archdemon Bloodline. Like Slayers, our Clan name precedes our individual name—so I am an Immortal Archdemon."
"My Stats are fifty points higher than my Mate's; this applies to all Twin Demons. With all skirt-like clothing, it is impossible to see anything underneath—even if someone stood beneath us shining a flashlight up."
"The waist buckle is purely decorative; anyone can choose whether to wear one. Artisans craft them to suit your Clan and Class. Some choose buckles in their Clan colour with accents in their accessory colour, others use their Class colour with accents in either Clan or accessory colour. Demons and Twin Demons usually opt for buckles in their accessory colour with Clan colour accents."
"Our earcuffs serve two purposes: for aesthetics, and to protect the sensitive outer ear. Only our Mates may touch them without the cuffs. The gauntlets and shin guards are for appearance and to keep those areas free of the foe's blood."
"Both Demons and Twin Demons mirror the skills and powers of our Mates; however, we are more combat-oriented as their protectors."
