The doctor performed the most comprehensive examination on Alice's body, but the conclusion was that Alice's body was currently in optimal condition, and her body temperature was constant. Logically, this situation should not occur.
There was nothing Mardon could do but have people light fires there. The temperature in the medical room was originally very pleasant, but because of the bonfires, the temperature here rapidly increased. Everyone's foreheads were sweating, while Alice, wearing seven or eight cotton coats, still wanted to crawl into the fire.
"Lady Alice, please tell me, how many is this!" The doctor held out one finger.
Alice shrunk her entire body into the cotton coat, revealing only a small part of her face, and said muffledly, "One."
The doctor confirmed that Alice's mind was fine, but why was her body exhibiting such a huge deviation in temperature perception?
"Lady Alice, can you tell me what you experienced before?" the doctor asked.
Other members of the Sternritter were also curious. What kind of enemy could make Alice, a Royal Guard member, like this?
Alice, wearing seven or eight cotton coats, roasted by the fire and intermittently recounted what happened that day.
When everyone heard that a Menos Grande could temporarily create a world, everyone's expressions changed.
This ability was simply outrageous! It was understandable that Alice's The Book of Creation couldn't defeat it.
Alice's Schrift was "C". Her The Book of Creation didn't truly create a world, but rather created a super-large barrier, endowing and changing various rules within the barrier.
A barrier and creating a world are two completely different concepts.
A barrier merely isolates an area within the existing world.
Whereas creating a world is truly creating an entirely new world.
These two abilities are not on the same dimension at all.
"I understand the situation now. This isn't a physical problem; it should be a problem with Lady Alice's mind," the doctor said. "Many people develop strange habits after being rescued from a near-death state. I'm afraid..."
Alice was almost frozen to death in the previous extremely cold world, so her psychology became distorted. Subconsciously, she believed this world was incredibly cold, so she kept putting on clothes. While others were sweating profusely, she was still warming herself by the brazier. The strangest thing was that there wasn't even a single drop of sweat on her forehead!
"The mind can affect the body, which is normal. This will probably require Lady Alice to slowly recover on her own. There's nothing else to be done," the doctor said.
Mardon kept reassuring himself: "It's just wearing a few more clothes, no problem. This kind of psychological illness will get better on its own after a while, it definitely will."
As for whether it would actually get better, only heaven knew.

Another bright, sunny day!
The August weather was unbearably hot. Yamabuki was woken up by the heat. Even with the windows open, no wind blew in, and even if there was wind, it was hot wind.
"Is there no season in this world that's neither too cold nor too hot, and has no mosquitoes or flies?" Yamabuki grumbled softly, so much so that he had to get out of bed at 4:30 AM, planning to take a cold shower. But when he arrived at the bathroom, he found the sound of running water. Could it be that Unohana was also suffering from the heat?
Possibly!
Should I go in and help her scrub her back?
Yamabuki felt so conflicted.
I... I'll just take a peek. It's absolutely not for any perverted reason, absolutely!
Yamabuki mustered all his courage, gently grasping the bathroom door. As long as he pulled it open... hehehe!
At worst, he'd get beaten up!
Just as Yamabuki had resigned himself to being cut into eighteen pieces, Unohana's voice suddenly appeared behind him: "Yamabuki, you're up so early?"
Yamabuki was utterly bewildered. What was going on? Why was Unohana behind him? If the person in the bathroom wasn't Unohana, then who was it?
Could it be a thief?
Yamabuki yanked open the bathroom door and saw a petite figure soaking in the bathtub.
"Ah! So it's Chiyo! Then it's fine!" Yamabuki said.
Yamatake Chiyo's cheeks flushed crimson at the sudden sight, and she quickly covered her small chest with her hands.
"What do you mean 'it's fine'? Get out!!!" Yamatake Chiyo picked up a wooden bucket and slammed it hard on Yamabuki's head.
Unohana had already covered Yamabuki's eyes with both hands. Darn it! He didn't see anything and still got hit! What a loss!
At breakfast, Yamabuki said with a cold face, "Why are you at my house? Shouldn't you be in the dormitory?"
"But there's no bathroom in the dormitory! And it's so hot! A noble young lady like me naturally needs to find a place to bathe," Yamatake Chiyo said with a cold face. "As for you, knowing there was someone in the bathroom, why did you still open the door? Tell me, was it intentional?"
"I'm not interested in little girls like you, unless they wear white stockings," Yamabuki said. "Oh, right, aren't you living with Senjumaru Shutara? Isn't she hot?"
"Of course she's hot! I told you, when you built the staff dormitory, couldn't you consider ventilation? Now the dormitory is no different from a steamer. She gets up even earlier than I do, but she chooses to bathe in the small river outside Seireitei. I'm not used to bathing outdoors, and the bathroom at home hasn't been used for a long time, so that's why I chose your place," Yamatake Chiyo said as if it were obvious.
Yamabuki, thinking about going to work in such sweltering heat and the pile of work waiting for him, felt all his strength drain away!
"I don't want to go to work! I really don't want to go to work!" Yamabuki wailed, lie lying on the table.
"If you're late, your salary might be docked, you know!" Unohana laughed.
Yamabuki was actually very concerned about one thing.
Why did the Soul King say his omnipotence failed when he asked him when he would get paid? Does that mean he won't get paid for the next million years? It couldn't be that miserable!
What on earth happened in the future?
Thankfully, he still had a clothing store, which could subsidize the household expenses a little. Otherwise, he would have been starving!
Even if he was unwilling, Yamabuki still went to work under the scorching sun. Being a worker was truly too difficult!
As soon as he stepped out of the house, the scorching heat hit him.
Every step he took outside was a great test of courage.
"Why aren't you moving yet? You'll be late for work too, won't you? Do you believe I'll dock your salary?" Yamabuki glared at Yamatake Chiyo.
Yamatake Chiyo was in tears. Who understood the hardships of a worker!
Can't you cut me some slack, seeing as I'm still a child?
Then, Yamatake Chiyo was thrown out by Yamabuki.
