"Hey, Michael! Seems like we need your help again!" A beautiful but battered caucasian young woman, wearing black sleeveless shirt with a blood stained on it and have a bloody cloth tightly wrapped around her hand, walk inside dilapidated but clean room where there's a single old metal bed place, in which a young man were sleeping soundlessly.
She's in a hurry, panic was written all over her face as she urged the young man to move.
"Ugh...again? How many times it happen today already?" The young man who were Micheal grumbled grumpily. Who knows that joining this group of survivor group is such a hassel, if not because he wants to be a role model for his sisters and out of pity and reward he can gained from hunting monsters, he would already long escape from this tiring and no pay job.
"You know that you're the only one here that can shake off those horde and superior beings. So please hurry, the front cannot handle it any longer!" The young woman urged more, feeling like a sword were hanging above her head that would fall any moments notice and it can only be solve if this young man infront of her move.
Just as they would continue their bickering, the building the where on suddenly shake continuously like something heavy have hit their building they were in.
Micheal face finally turned serious seeing this, and hurriedly stand up and sprint towards the source of commotion.
Seeing that the building they were in where already under attack shows that the frontline already fallen, and the enemy are closing in, fast. He don't know what was happening, but he knows that it was anything but good.
Moments later, he emerge out of the building he was in, that got covered by debris of other fallen buildings and were covered by sand and earth due to earth, doing it's thing.
He crossed many people long the way that was panicking but felt relieved when they saw him. The sky above dimmed, and only the crimson moon hangout to the sky, the source of the eerie atmosphere here on Earth.
Outside, his expression turned grim. Horde of bloodthirsty beast, aberrant creatures, undead, flying monsters and wraiths were partying in bloody battle, like it was festival where they the humans are the prize.
Dozens of Aspirants already fallen while the remaining where injured at different degree. These are the last remaining force of humans that were sent to this world, from a thousand of Aspirants to meager hundred.
"Fall back!"
"Argh!"
"Help! Save me!"
"F*cking beast!"
"..."
Boom!
Baam!
Their desperate screams and curses echoed out with sound of magic skills exploding, and mangled bodies flying up in the sky.
The fight were at desperate, one sided, and despairing, even do most of the frontline Aspirant where at the peak of the mortal rank or level 9, the fight was still not in their favor, as their average enemies where averaging at level 9 and having high existencial grade.
Looking at the seemingly endless horde of monsters closing in were enough to make a ground man break down.
Seeing this, Micheal didn't stand idle any more longer. He wants to be valiant hero, not because he yearns to but to make his sisters proud, and those who have left them to eat dust and treat then badly regret it.
Michael disappeared from where he was standing and appeared before the frontline of both monsters and human side, crushing an ugly–devilish looking beast that was blocking his way with his foot on his entrance, like a wargod adorned on his new legendary armour, appearing on his battle.
His presence on the battlefield alone stopped the fight, and the attention of both sides was shifted onto him. The weaker ones around were sent into unconscious, just by him showing his powerful aura, showing how much stronger he become.
Whoosh~
He waved his hand back and crimson energy, manifested into a long–pulsing crimson weapon besides him. Then he send it hurdling forward at the frozen monsters and evil beast, reaping the life the life's of hundred of monsters at the frontline.

The pulsing–crimson energy blade, mowed the life of monsters and beast on the battlefield like a land mower cutting grass, pulsing more stronger and becoming larger as it travelled.
Szziing!

But a moments later, the crimson–energy blade got destroyed by one of the monster in the horde, with a powerful eerie–green energy claw that slammed hard on the ground, that manifested out of nowhere.

"Damn it! This thing is surely the horde leader! And it was freaking at the peak of greater rank! Why is it even here on Aspirant Trial? The newbie's trial?" Michael finally called out for this irregularities this trial they have.
After many days he stayed in this world and being with other Aspirant, he learned many thing he doesn't know. And one of it where information about the trials, new ascendants like him would usually undertake.
Usually the first trial the newbies or Aspirant of becoming an Ascender would undertake were not that difficult, or at least not as insane as they were on now.
The mission completion requirements are are different every trial world your in, some were just killing hundred of monsters, or defeating specific targets, while survival are rare and the most hardest trial mission you can get.
While the difficulty is based on what world your trial were held, and were classified into Normal, Hard, Insane, Nightmare Difficulty based on hard it is to survive in the world.
As for what difficulty they were on at? It would be the legendary Abyss Difficulty where only a few in the entire history of mankind survived, even in the easiest trial mission. Based on history of Ascenders which is still young, around a decade, the people that survive this difficulty are only 9 in the entire globe and all of them belong to the world top 10 strongest human on earth that have special grade ability
And what they went through are not as insane as what they were going through, mind you, the highest level enemy on the other Trial World where just common small fry here, average, normal and numerous.
"Retreat! I'll take it from here." Michael ordered solemnly, making the Aspirants around think something was wrong, then they hurriedly retreated back on the base fast and silent as possible while carrying the badly injured and those that have fallen.
Except for a dozen strong looking individuals, the rest retreated. From more than a hundred surviving Aspirant, only these dozen strong can fight next to Micheal.
The chaotic and loud battlefield seemlesly turned eerie silent, as a lone wargod faced with the endless horde of undead and aberrant creatures.
