Chapter 534 - Chapter 533: Stopping to Rest

Thea estimated that Dr. Sivana, after absorbing all the residue, definitely couldn't compare to the original Black Adam, but beating a few second-tier heroes and villains should be no problem. After all, it was the blessing of the six gods' power, which was fundamentally different from ordinary people.

Over the next few days, Thea and Deadman began a frantic extraction. During her second absorption, Black Adam woke up once, sensing the energy loss in his body. Unfortunately, with his strength now greatly reduced, his desperate resistance was still suppressed by Deadman and Grodd.

The four "people" stayed on this nameless planet for ten days. Divine power had kept Black Adam from starving to death during his thousand-year seal, so naturally it wouldn't let Dr. Sivana starve now. Deadman didn't need to eat, and Thea was too busy to bother.

The only one going hungry was the gorilla. However, it didn't dare bare its teeth at Thea. Later, seeing it shrink into a round ball from hunger was quite pitiful, so Thea gave it plenty of food, finally pacifying this increasingly adorable guy.

Each time she absorbed and converted, Thea had to rest and adapt for three days. Surging power first required an adaptation process, followed by the somewhat mystical issue of mental state. This thing was useful when you said it was useful, but couldn't be ignored when you said it was useless.

Through repeated purification, conversion, and separation, Black Adam's divine power was completely absorbed by her. This second-generation Shazam ultimately reverted to his original state due to complete divine power exhaustion, then under the gaze of several "people," his lifespan ran out and he turned into dust scattered by the wind.

Thea was increasingly developing a mystic's demeanor. Before Black Adam's death, she looked at him with eyes full of "pity." This second-generation Shazam left the mortal world with satisfaction.

His death certainly wasn't in vain. At least sixty percent of the pure divine power was completely absorbed by Thea, and more than twenty percent of the gods' impurities gathered into Dr. Sivana. Now this doctor could be called Black Adam 2.0.

The black robe combined with the lightning on his chest and that big bald head—Dr. Sivana's villainous aura was practically overflowing.

After several days of contact, she found that although this bald doctor wasn't a good person in the traditional sense, he wasn't a villain either. He was just excessively fanatical about mysticism. Now he had power too, albeit a broken version of Shazam's power, but at least he'd taken that crucial step.

A man in his fifties didn't need Thea's instructions. He understood the value of keeping a low profile.

Thea told everyone to go home and that the next group activity would be announced separately.

She didn't return to Metropolis but went back to Star City. Her strength had now reached the demigod peak, roughly equivalent to Diana ten days ago.

It was just that Diana had a hundred years to settle and adapt, while she didn't have that luxury. Her original plan to go to the Source Wall had to be temporarily shelved. With her current state, even if she managed to connect with a "Source," it wasn't suitable to immediately become a god. She needed to stop and adapt to her new realm.

She had no choice but to stop. Various illusions swirled before her eyes. Some showed her going berserk and destroying everything madly, others showed her maternal feelings exploding, saving all the people in the world.

As someone who played with illusions to perfection, she knew she definitely wasn't under an illusion spell. Rather, the surging power was influencing her judgment every second.

Thea felt she had probably overdone it. Even absorbing only sixty percent of Black Adam's divine power probably exceeded the ceiling of demigod peak. The only fortunate thing was that she hadn't exceeded it by much.

Similar to Diana's situation, her own power had broken through a threshold, and she sensed that rule-level calling. Some were violent, some peaceful. Thea estimated that what was calling her should be the "Source," but with her current restless mind, she absolutely didn't dare make a choice lightly.

Thea could only bundle up all the energy in her body. The "Source" matter wasn't urgent—they were right there. She needed to stabilize her own side first.

Walking slowly through the streets of Star City like an ordinary person, even though she had already diluted her presence and wore large sunglasses and a scarf covering half her face, the occasional glimpses of her appearance still brought her trouble.

"Miss, want some? Latest ecstasy." Three ill-intentioned thugs blocked her path, pulling out a packet of indescribable substances to peddle to her.

The young lady was a bit speechless. Drug dealing had reached her doorstep. It seemed Green Arrow's crackdown on Count Vertigo wasn't strong enough. Was he spending all his energy on romance?

She had to think about how to deal with these bugs. Thea involuntarily looked around. She wanted to see if there were cameras nearby—if so, it would be best to hack them for a few seconds first.

The thugs didn't know their death was near. They thought Thea was looking around for an escape route and all laughed wantonly.

Just as Thea was about to take these guys out cleanly, three throwing blades flew by. Each thug took one to the neck and died without even a grunt.

Such ruthless methods definitely weren't the Green Arrow team. Thea turned to look to the right.

A tall, thin old man in ancient robes slowly walked out.

Thea looked at the tall, thin old man and couldn't help but smile. "The Demon's Head? What brings you to Star City instead of recuperating in Nanda Parbat? If you're looking for Damian, he's back in Gotham."

"And did Talia let you out? That's not her style. Don't tell me you snuck out?"

The Demon's Head was thinner than before. He examined Thea's sunglasses and scarf with some curiosity. "Why this getup? Are you injured?"

No wonder he thought too much. In his impression, Thea was a very formidable person. How could she be blocked by a few small-time thugs? In his view, the only explanation was injury.

"You're overthinking. I'm just deliberately suppressing myself," Thea said. It wasn't like she'd reset her powers to start over—there was nothing she couldn't say.

Deliberately suppressing? Did you eat your fill and have nothing better to do? The Demon's Head, who had been about to walk past, was caught by curiosity. "Mind telling this dying man about it?"

Chat with a supervillain about this? Thea thought about it. Having lived eight hundred years, he might have some different insights. So she briefly explained her situation.

Honestly, the Demon's Head didn't understand what she said. Even though Thea hadn't mentioned deep topics like the "Source" to him, he still didn't quite comprehend.

"Can you describe it with facts?" The Demon's Head's curiosity was extraordinarily strong. In a sense, he had something in common with Dr. Sivana—both desperately searching but not finding. The difference was that the Demon's Head had lived long enough to find a demon to help him, while Dr. Sivana didn't have that luxury.

His question stumped Thea. How do you describe something so idealistic with facts?

After thinking, she might as well let him experience it. Thea slightly released her suppression, letting out about ten percent of the energy in her body.

Misty, dreamlike energy instantly filled a hundred-meter radius. The perceptive Demon's Head immediately noticed the abnormality.
