Chapter 665 - Chapter 664: A Big Shot Suddenly Intervenes

These guys who randomly opened portals were truly annoying. Thea finally understood Batman's intention in setting up anti-teleportation devices. She'd already laid down an inescapable net, yet they could escape with just a portal. Too frustrating!

When Thea was frustrated, she naturally made others more frustrated. Her emerald eyes reflected evil Cisco's image. With a cold snort, she said, "Just a mortal."

Her eyes blazed with green light. Two arrow-like beams shot toward evil Cisco, who was opening a portal. Thea would erase him at the source!

All around was dense, inescapable green fog. The trio was desperately maintaining their position. Earlier, Thea's attention had been on Zoom, which was why they'd barely survived until now. A legendary necromancy spell couldn't be that easily blocked.

"Cisco, hurry!" The white-haired Killer Frost's expression was extremely grim. Initially the attack intensity was low and they could use some buildings for defense. Now that Thea was serious, buildings? Even steel corroded. The three didn't think they were harder than steel.

Evil Cisco had never found it so difficult to open a portal. He didn't understand that magic greatly interfered with teleportation, especially legendary spells. Without hundreds of mages preparing for two months, they couldn't cast a spell of this level.

Fortunately, his ability was formidable and he'd trained extensively. Under layers of interference, he arduously found external coordinates.

"I found it!" Unfortunately, before he finished speaking, a terrifying aura enveloped him. His survival instincts and subconscious warned him, but his body was too exhausted and the attack too fast.

The last thing evil Cisco saw was two green beams suddenly lancing out of the green fog, striking him directly. Then his vision went black—he'd been erased at the source.

Huh? Sensing something abnormal, evil Killer Frost and Firestorm now felt only confusion. All memories related to evil Cisco had been erased. They no longer remembered having such a companion.

So they were puzzled—what were they doing here? Why not run when facing deadly acid fog, instead choosing to struggle here? Both were completely baffled. Yet the acid fog wouldn't spare them. The dense, corrosive fog directly enveloped them. Once their energy was exhausted, death would come.

After erasing a living person, Thea felt no abnormality. The earlier headaches didn't appear at all.

She knew this was a New God using life-level superiority to crush mortals. With a wave of her hand, heavy fog suppressed the evil duo. Her gaze locked on Zoom again.

Same trick again—two green beams shot forth.

Zoom, running at high speed, reacted extremely sensitively. Purely in terms of perception, he was ten times sharper than evil Cisco. The moment Thea's gaze approached, he sensed it.

Definitely didn't check the calendar before leaving today! What the hell were these weird things? Beams that could turn corners? Zoom discovered that no matter how he dodged laterally, these two beams stubbornly tracked him.

Danger! Danger!! Danger!!! His senses frantically transmitted this signal. He could only keep running.

Zoom didn't know what these were, but after running several circles in the dense fog, his nerves had dulled a little. In his view, being hit by the beams or swallowed by the fog—both were extremely dangerous with no real difference. Running away was always right.

The distant Steppenwolf watched this scene with nothing but shock. Are you kidding me! Green tracking beams? The instant Cisco was erased, he'd also seen it. Steppenwolf possessed uniqueness as a New God—the Erasure Eyes couldn't eliminate his memories.

He clearly understood this ability's fluctuations, which was why he was so shocked.

It was eerily similar to Darkseid's Omega Beams. Both erased existence, both tracked, both were extremely fast. The only difference—Darkseid's beams were red, while this goddess's were green.

He muttered to himself for a long moment. Originally quite confident about Darkseid and Highfather's war, since Darkseid's personal strength exceeded Highfather's.

Now he felt less confident. If this Merchant Goddess intervened at a critical moment when the two big shots fought, Darkseid might not actually win. After all, his strength advantage was just one tier—not enough to completely crush.

Setting aside Steppenwolf hiding far away pondering the future, Zoom felt he had no future! Running until his whole body ached. Originally severely injured, now after this mad dash, Thea controlled the fog to block him ahead while tracking beams chased madly behind.

Countless buildings, corpses, and plants were corroded, decomposed, and reduced to some kind of green substance, layer upon layer covering the ground. Zoom could run on water—this muddy ground environment had little effect on him.

But he knew the routes and range where he could escape were rapidly compressing. Sensing the beams' lethality behind him, he'd tried several times to find a wall, a person, or any similar-sized object to phase through. Unfortunately, Thea had been prepared for this trick—she'd swept the entire street clean.

Flash dodged Omega Beams, we know that. Think you can phase through objects to resist beams? Dream on!

Zoom racked his brain for self-rescue methods. Running in place to create an air wall—the acid cloud was indeed temporarily blocked, but the beams still stubbornly tracked him. This was the power of law, unrelated to air.

Realizing the tracking beams behind were most dangerous, he focused all attention backward, throwing lightning back continuously. Unfortunately, the beams had locked onto him and weren't deterred by any interference.

Zoom's wound began deteriorating. Blood gushed out in great quantities, staining half his body red. Dragging his severely injured body in nonstop running for several minutes, his stamina had reached its limit. Without the acid fog or erasure beams, in thirty more seconds he'd die for certain.

But this man's character could truly be called resolute. Even at the most dangerous juncture, he hadn't given up trying to find an escape route.

The entire city was shrouded in Thea's mental power. She'd already foreseen Zoom's doom. No complex calculations needed—he'd be caught by the erasure beams in twelve seconds and completely vanish.

As she counted down to watch Zoom's end, something unexpected happened. A giant hand suddenly appeared on the battlefield.

The giant hand directly blocked the tracking beams. Five fingers closed, easily crushing the erasure beams.

Before Thea could react, she felt an incomparably mighty force directly teleport her.

In less than one-thousandth of a second, she went from the now-swamp Star City to a majestic, solemn snowy mountain. The environmental change didn't draw much attention. She stood at the mountain peak, looking at the giant taller than the mountain itself.

Wearing a green robe and green hood, features hazy and indistinct. Thea gasped. The Spectre! Why had this guy popped up?
