The sound of dry leaves getting crushed under the weight of several legs could be heard as Erik walked alongside the twins. They had been walking endlessly for a while, using the help of their maps to try to navigate their way through the forest, hoping to find a safe place to lay low. After running for a while, they had managed to fend off the beasts by splitting up and converging into a singular point, confusing the beasts in the process. It took them their all, draining them of their mana and physical energy.
"We seriously need to find a place to hide until we've harvested our mana to its max…. I can't afford to die, I'm still a virgin," Xin said as she walked with slow and wobbly steps.
Erik looked at her suddenly, a small curve formed on his lips.
"We should find a place very soon. According to the map, we're heading into a rocky section of the forest. This means that there will be nearby caves," Lance said, his eyes fixated on the holographic map on his wrist.
