Lulu stared at Mu Zhe who was already clinging to Bai Lu's hand and didn't want to let go.
"Haaa..."
Lulu let out a heavy sigh. Too heavy to make the atmosphere turn dark and heavy.
"That sounds really heavy."
Zhang Yiran said as he sat down next to his little brother. Zhang Yiran looked at Mu Zhe. "Oh. This is the reason." Zhang Yiran smiled.
"If I were Bai Lu..."
Lulu turned his head quickly. Stared at Zhang Yiran's face deeply.
"And you as Mu Zhe, what would you do?"
Zhang Yiran asked.
"Fight alongside you."
Lulu replied without thinking.
"No matter what, I will still fight alongside you and protect Mu Zhe."
Lulu said, emphasizing his answer. No matter what happens, he will protect Mu Zhe and his brother.
"Hahaha..."
Lulu's answer made Zhang Yiran laugh hard.
"In your head, there is only Mu Zhe."
Zhang Yiran said while ruffling Lulu's hair.
"Of course. He's the reason for me to stay alive."
Lulu replied without shame. Zhang Yiran fell silent. Seeing his younger brother maturity made him feel uneasy.
"What about me?"
Zhang Yiran asked. His tone sounded hollow.
"Why did you ask that question out of nowhere?"
Lulu asked with a serious face. He didn't want Zhang Yiran to compare himself to Mu Zhe. They were both his favorite. They were just in different places in his heart.
"You and Mu Zhe are not the same. Even until death, you're still my brother. And Mu Zhe..."
Lulu fell silent. Suddenly a feeling of shame entered his soul. He bit his lips. His face turned red.
"Hahahaha..."
That reaction made Zhang Yiran laugh so hard that he fell off the chair. Lulu, who didn't have time to help, laughed together with him. Even more louder.
All eyes were focused on the two siblings after hearing a loud crash before they also laughed together.
Only Mu Zhe. His eyes stared straight at Lulu's face. He let go of Bai Lu's hand and crossing his arms. His expression looked like he was about to swallow someone alive. He pursed his lips in dissatisfaction.
Bai Lu gaze at his little brother face. Slowly his lips curved into a smile. "After you have a lover, your brother means nothing to you." Bai Lu said to himself. But he was relieved. At least Mu Zhe forgot about his fear. And this made him calm enough to continue their mission. "Lulu. I'm leaving Mu Zhe to you. Please take good care of him."
While trying to help Zhang Yiran, Lulu looked at Mu Zhe. Their eyes met. With a dissatisfied face, Mu Zhe looked away angrily. He pursed his lips. She was really angry this time.
Lulu let go of Zhang Yiran. Letting Ah Fei and the others helping his brother. He sat down with a guilty face. His fear surpassed his excitement. Afraid that if Mu Zhe continued to get angry before he could express his feelings, all his of words would be considered as lies by Mu Zhe.
Zhang Yiran patted Lulu on the back while signaling for Lulu to go and settle his business with Mu Zhe before his friend jealousy turned into hateful, it was getting harder to persuade him later. Better safe than regret.
Lulu looked at Bai Lu who was sitting next to Mu Zhe. Then his gaze shifted to Zhang Yiran. Zhang Yiran nodded. Understanding what needed to be done. "Get rid of the obstacles. Okay. I'll do it for you."
Zhang Yiran got up. With awkward steps, he approached Bai Lu. Whispered something before the two of them left together. Zhang Yiran turned his head and gave Lulu his thumbs up. Lulu smiled. Feeling lucky to have such an understanding brother.
Lulu looked at the others. Making sure that the others weren't watching and picking up hot gossip from him and Mu Zhe.
They quickly pretended to do their own thing. Ah Fei went to Ling Er. Pretending to ask about how to strengthen his stamina. But his gaze still glued at Lulu.
Zhou Jun quickly moved closer to Ma Yuan. Pretending as if he care about his stepbrother. But now and then his eyes was on Lulu and Mu Zhe.
Jiang Hai approached Ru Yi and Li Feng. Asked about their training. And, what the most suspicious was, Ru Yi also give his response as if there was no conflict between the two of them.
Only Fu Heng was watching their every drama. For some reason, everyone forgot about his presence in the room.
Lulu sat next to Mu Zhe. Coughed a few times. Tried to get Mu Zhe's attention.
Mu Zhe continued to pout while throwing his gaze out of the window.
"Are you okay?"
Lulu asked softly. Mu Zhe remained silent. He didn't even flinched. Lulu looked around. At everyone who pretended to be busy with their own things but the corners of their eyes were right on him and Mu Zhe.
"I want to tell you something. But... not here."
Lulu whispered. Mu Zhe turned to face Lulu. He staring at Lulu's face without blinking. Lulu gave a wink "There was many ears digging for hot gossip." Mu Zhe looked around. It seemed that his friends were pretending to be busy but their eyes was on him and Lulu. Mu Zhe nodded.
The two of them stepped out. There was a hollow sigh from their other friends whose hunger for their gossip.
As soon as the two of them left, Jiang Hai quickly ran to find Zhou Jun and Ah Fei and whispered,
"I'm sure Lulu will confess his feelings to Mu Zhe today."
Zhou Jun nodded. His face looked proud.
"Finally... my friend has grown up..."
He said while pretending to wipe away his tears. Ah Fei just nodded.
Ma Yuan, Ru Yi, Li Feng and Fu Heng looked at each other. "What are these kids planning to do?" They all looked out at in unison. Trying to spy on Lulu and Mu Zhe.
"Is this really okay?"
Ru Yi whispered to Ma Yuan. Ma Yuan just nodded.
"It's okay. They're already grown up."
He answered without feeling guilty.
"Sixteen and seventeen years old, still underage, right?"
Fu Heng asked. They nodded in unison.
"Ha!?"
All eyes were focused on Ma Yuan. Ma Yuan pretended not to hear all of that. Quickly looked away. Carving an awkward smile and slowly arranged his steps to approach Zhou Jun. He slowly hide behind his sturdy little brother. Reluctant to be questioned any further. "I don't know anything. Don't ask me."
"Lulu!!!"
A voice shouted from outside the room. Everyone fell silent. They were stunned for a moment before turning their attention to the door.
Jiang Hai didn't wait long. He quickly ran towards the door and opened it as wide as he could.
As soon as the door opened, his eyes widened to see Lulu already in someone's arms. And that person wasn't his friend Mu Zhe.
Jiang Hai looked at Ru Yi who was already at his side. He also wanted to know who else could enter their base.
"Who?"
Jiang Hai asked Ru Yi. Ru Yi shook his head and prepared to face the man who was clinging to Lulu like a koala.
"Jonathan?"
Fu Heng's voice came from behind. All eyes were focused on Fu Heng.
"Jonathan? Who is Jonathan?"
They asked before returning their focus to Lulu who was still in the arms of a man named Jonathan.
"Mu Zhe..."
Zhou Jun's words died there. Mu Zhe's face already looked fierce as he watched Lulu and Jonathan.
"It seemed that the war was about to begin."
He muttered. The others nodded in agreement.
