D?

The cue drops, pulling Sean, who was lost in joy, back to reality.

If he recalled correctly, the ants that would later ravage the East Gorteau Republic were rated B.

That was two whole levels higher than him. And then thinking about the Five Great Calamities and the Dark Continent behind them...

Making a little bit of progress didn't seem like something worth showing off.

His excitement cooled, and Sean composed himself. He immediately snapped his fingers, and Nos. 2-5, who were acting as lookouts, turned into several streams of Nen and entered his body.

Right on time, "Sage" finished recording the information and reminded Sean.

[Detecting Host's "Strength," "Speed," and "Aura" have reached the standard to train the second of the "Eight Gates," the "Gate of Healing."]

[Does Host wish to begin training now?]

'Gate of Healing?'

"No." Sean's eyes flickered, and he directly rejected "Sage's" proposal.

'This is Kukuroo Mountain, full of Maha's eyes and ears. If I make a commotion and expose my trump card... I, Sean, am not that stupid.'

"Besides, there's still some time before the test. 'Sage,' we should seize the opportunity to make the most of what we have."

'After all, the opponent is my dear old dad. Any extra bit of strength I can gain is good.'

A shallow arc formed on Sean's lips. He glanced at the remaining 100-plus "Reader Feedback Points" and decided to go all in!

"'Sage,' pick out a few 'Ninjutsu' and let's spend the rest of the feedback points."

[Understood.]

[Considering the Host's current situation, the following four 'Ninjutsu' are provided for reference.]

[One: Genjutsu - "Demonic Illusion: Tree Binding Death." Creator: Kurenai Yuhi. The user first disappears, causing a tree to grow from under the opponent's feet and bind them. The user then emerges from the tree to attack the opponent.]

[Two: Summoning Jutsu - "Eight Ninja Hounds." Contractor: Kakashi Hatake. Sign a blood contract with the ninja hounds, then summon them to assist the master in gathering intelligence and relaying messages.]

[Three: Ninpo - "Shadow Imitation Technique." Creator: Nara Clan. By extending one's own shadow to connect with the enemy, it forces the opponent to mimic the user's movements.]

[Four: Ninjutsu - "Mind Body Switch Technique." Creator: Yamanaka Clan. Release spiritual energy to take over the opponent's body through the air.]

[The above... all require 100 "Reader Feedback Points."]

"Good grief, am I getting mixed up with the 'Ino-Shika-Cho'?" Sean glanced at the panel, noticed the "Shadow Imitation Technique" and "Mind Body Switch Technique," and shook his head with a laugh.

After pondering for a few seconds, he chose without hesitation—

"Three," Ninpo - "Shadow Imitation Technique"!

'Kurenai Yuhi's genjutsu is good, but for Sean, who already has the Sharingan and can develop it further, it's useless.'

'Summoning Jutsu, "Eight Ninja Hounds"? I, Sean, am not Kakashi. I don't have a fetish for connecting with dogs.'

'As for the "Mind Body Switch Technique"...' Sean wasn't confident he could beat Silva in a contest of spiritual power. 'Since that's the case, I'll leave it for later.'

"'Sage,' spend 100 points, exchange for 'Shadow Imitation Technique'."

[Yes.]

"Om" A familiar white light entered the space between his eyebrows. The consciousness space unfolded.

Sean materialized a large tree and a chessboard, sat down cross-legged, and leisurely watched as the clouds and mist in front of him gathered into a human figure.

That person had his hands in his pockets and his hair in a small ponytail. He let out a big yawn as soon as he appeared, lazily walked to the other side of the chessboard, and sat down cross-legged.

"Yo, Shogi? I don't know how to play this," Shikamaru said, propping his cheek on his hand. He glanced at Sean as if they were old friends who had known each other for years, without a trace of vigilance.

"I don't either," Sean said with a smile.

"Then why did you set it up?"

"To look cool."

"Heh... boring." As if he had a boil on his butt, Shikamaru just lay down and tossed a scroll to Sean. "'Shadow Imitation Technique.' Here, I'm too lazy to teach you. Learn it yourself. Don't bother my sleep."

Sean reached out and caught the scroll, squinting at him. "You don't seem afraid of me."

"What's the use of being afraid?" Shikamaru pouted. "This is your home ground. If you want to kill me, it's just a matter of a thought, isn't it?"

'Tsk. As expected of the Konoha 12's top strategist. This level of smarts is truly admirable.'

Sean withdrew his gaze, calmed his mind, and opened the scroll. A stream of information surged... straight into his mind. Soon—

He had grasped the hand seals for the "Shadow Imitation Technique."

"Learned it?" After waiting quietly for a moment, Shikamaru opened one eye to look at Sean.

Sean nodded with a smile.

The Nara family's young master, with a "heigh-ho," slapped his butt and stood up. "Good that you learned it. I'm telling you, try to get stronger next time."

"My Nara family only has so many skills. Wouldn't it be better if you learned them all at once?"

"You're just afraid of trouble, aren't you," Sean looked at Shikamaru playfully.

Shikamaru nodded without hesitation. "Yes."

"Haha!" Sean laughed mischievously. "Then you'll be disappointed. It's rare to meet someone so interesting. Wouldn't it be a shame to just let you go?"

Shikamaru's mouth twitched. "Whatever."

He decided to just give up.

'Looking at that lazy appearance, it's a bit much to keep him here.'

Sean simply dispersed the sea of clouds and let Shikamaru go back.

"Hey, I'm serious, don't call me next time." Shikamaru waved his hand without looking back. "My dad is free. Call him if you need anything."

As he spoke, the sea of clouds surged and immediately submerged him.

With that, his consciousness returned, and Sean couldn't help but laugh out loud.

The laughter rustled through the leaves. Mike, who was foraging in the mountain forest, heard the noise and looked over curiously. When he saw it was Sean, the damn dog seemed to remember the pain of being kicked away by Sean.

He yelped, tucked his tail, and ran.

"Hey, hey! As a dog, when you see your master, you should be wagging your tail and begging for scraps. What's the meaning of running?"

Sean glanced over, his hands quickly forming seals. The shadow at his feet rapidly elongated, stretching out and hooking onto Mike's shadow, instantly freezing the damn dog in place!

Mike whimpered anxiously, experiencing the "involuntary" feeling for the first time in his dog life.

He was forced to imitate Sean, walking toward Sean. When he got close, Sean glared at him in annoyance. "Down."

He then released the "Shadow Imitation Technique," leaped onto Mike's back, grabbed the fur on the back of his neck, and gave him a big slap on the head for good measure.

"Giddy-up!"

"Home!"

"Awooo" His four paws scrambled, and Mike shot forward, dashing toward the old castle.

In a hallway of the old castle, Zeno was walking with Killua after dinner. He heard his precious grandson shout, "Cool!"

Following Killua's gaze, the old man's eyes immediately narrowed!

"Riding a dog? Since when did Mike become so obedient?" Zeno muttered, then vanished in a flash.

He left Killua alone, staring blankly out the window, dazed.
