Then—familiar voice behind him.

"Hey!"

"Natsu!"

"Wait!"

Raleigh sprinting full-tilt. Face streaked with ash and sweat. Eyes desperate.

Giant turned. Looked down.

Raleigh's eyes lit.

"Blood's toxic!"

No preamble. Straight to it.

"Throw it in the ocean—finish it there!"

"Seawater's alkaline—neutralizes the acid—minimal pollution!"

Hands cupped around mouth. Shouting with everything left.

Words done, he doubled over. Hands on knees. Gasping.

Sprint plus screaming had emptied the tank.

Cold air burned his lungs. He looked up.

The giant nodded.

Yes.

Natsuki approached Knifehead. Eighty meters tall, over a hundred long. Didn't matter.

Lamb to slaughter.

"ROOOAR!"

Knifehead's arms were gone. Chest caved. Life draining. But it wanted one bite—just one piece of flesh before the end.

Hind legs shifted. EMP organ on its back glowed blue. Charging.

In its simple consciousness: Big humanoid = machine.

The instant the charge began—

Giant moved. Hand shot out. Gripped its skull.

Arm flexed.

Threw.

Wind shrieked. Mass in motion over water—not subtle.

Meteorite arc. Up, then down. Impact on uninhabited island off the Gulf. Earth split. Trees launched skyward.

Kaiju: dead on arrival.

Giant's movements: not finished.

Nineteen thousand years taught you one thing—always confirm the kill.

Shatterdome Base.

"Wait—this reading!" Tendo had just exhaled relief. Now data spiked. Panel lit red.

Beyond any conventional warhead.

"Marshal! High-energy reaction detected!"

"What's happening out there!?"

Another tech: "Temperature exceeding one hundred thousand degrees... one-fifty... three hundred... five hundred thousand degrees in seconds!"

"That's beyond conventional parameters!"

"No nuclear launch detected—Marshal, what's going on!?"

On site.

Stacker held the phone. Didn't answer.

Eyes locked on the giant. Didn't blink.

The giant crouched slightly. Stance widened. White light bloomed at both wrists.

Stacker didn't know what was coming.

Only saw arms cross. Form a plus sign.

Pale blue beam erupted from the junction—hurricane force, light like a star's heart.

Speed: impossible to track. Path: straight across water. Impact parted the sea—waves thrown aside, surface flash-boiled to steam. Precision strike on the island corpse.

Heat piled on Knifehead's remains.

This was the energy Shatterdome detected.

"BOOOOM!"

Corpse couldn't hold it. Accumulated energy detonated—kaiju and island atomized together.

Stone flew. Fire melted falling snow. Island sank beneath the Gulf in a single breath.

Giant lowered his arms. Beam faded.

Where it passed: air ionized, arcs crackling, space warped from residual heat.

Shockwave rolled ashore—warm wind and spray, ash and snow mixed. Hit Stacker's face. Hit every worker watching.

Message received: It's over.

"What... was that?"

"Doesn't look like any Jaeger. Stronger than all of them combined."

"Get your phone—record this!"

"Dead. EMP fried it."

"Damn..."

"Like a god."

One strike. Kaiju plus island—erased.

Comprehension shattered.

This was 〈Specium Beam〉.

Five hundred thousand degrees. Five hundred thousand horsepower.

Ultraman unbound by budget constraints. Ultraman in reality.

Every movement: environmental devastation.

This was true power.

The sight branded itself into Stacker's mind forever.

One question formed:

What kaiju could survive that?

What could even fight it?

Every Jaeger combined—would they last one second?

He forced himself not to imagine the giant turning hostile.

Gratitude flooded him instead.

Thank God.

He's on our side.

He saved us.

Behind the Breach, mixed among Precursors and humans alike, the Travelers still didn't know.

Didn't know what kind of hunter was coming for them.
