"I-Impossible!!" The crew was speechless.
The pirates didn't expect their crew member to lose by a woman who seemed like a civilian.
"Buckler is a fool, letting his guard down was a mistake only an idiot like him would do." Lance says cold-heartedly, he walks over to Buckler.
He picks him up and tosses him out the way like trash.
"But even though Buckler was a fool, his speed was still impressive. Who even is this woman? How could she easily outmatch him?" Lance thought, gritting his teeth as he accepts the mystery of her identity.
Hana notices Lance approaching her, she had built some confidence from that win with Buckler, and now she has no plan to surrender.
Hana assumed a fighting position, she wasn't going to back down and let them take her Key Compass.
"What's your name" Lance says as he's Infront of her staring her down like a bug he wants to squash, towering over her at 8ft.
Hana gulps, clenching her fist, "Hana.."
"Listen up Hana, I'm being generous today, hand over that compass and we will spare your life." He reaches out towards her in hopes of just casually grabbing it from her hand.
In the bar during this time.
"What happened.. Quin.. Captain Aylos.. My friends here...?" Owen wakes up recalling the tragic events that followed.
Owen looks down to see himself still bleeding from the gunshots as he applies pressure onto it.
Owen hears commotion outside and wonders if it was the pirates.
Owen peaks out the door, he was surprised.
"Lance... That Donning Crew bastard... he killed my Captain.. But.. that lady. She was the one who was unconscious before we got here, but she's holding her own against Lance...this might be my chance to get out of here while I still can." Owen thought, he wanted to seize the opportunity and get away from the island as fast as possible.
*Peda Peda Peda... Peda Peda Peda*...
It was a Den Den Mushi, Owen was jump scared by the snail.
Owen slowly walked over to the Den Den Mushi.
Owen picked up in hopes of some marines calling in.
"Captain Aylos do you copy?"
Owen eyes widen in shock as their seemed to be hope for him.
"This isn't Captain Aylos, this is Marine Enlist Owen. Our squad was taken out by the Donning Crew, I'm, the only survivor..."
"The only survivor? Captain Aylos was defeated?"
"Yes.. They killed Captain Aylos, and Lance Don.. is still alive."
...
"Marine Enlist Owen, what is the current situation? Are the pirates still on the island?"
"Yes, they are currently fighting someone. Also, Captain Aylos, was easily defeated by Pirate Captain Charles Don, I believe we have underestimated him and his crews strength."
"Understood. Thank you for your cooperation, we have directed Marine reinforcements to the Island."
Owen ends the call, he holds his gunshot wounds still applying pressure as the walks towards the door of the bar to see the fight between the two.
"WOOSH!"
Hana just barely dodges the punch by Lance Don.
"You can't keep running in these fights little lady" Lance smirks as keeps the pressure on Hana.
Hana is barely avoiding the attacks by Lance, Lance was much faster than Buckler, and Hana was only barely getting by. She knew she couldn't keep this up forever.
Lance smirks noticing her slowing down in movement.
Lance twists his body swinging his leg towards Hana's chin.
"WOOOSHHH"
An inch closer and it would have been lights out for Hana.
But Lance wasn't done just yet with his attacks, he kept twisting his body into a full 360, and with his other leg he managed to pull off a side-kick meant for Hana's stomach.
"WHAM!"
Hana got completely hit by Lance's attack to the stomach, propelling her off the ground and sending her crashing into the wooden building behind her.
Hana almost completely avoided the attack, but Lance momentum was too strong.
"Tch.. This was what Buckler couldn't handle? I think I may have overestimated you." Lance says walking toward Hana.
Hana back is against the wall of the wooden building.
"Mei.. Grayson.. Zane.. Lucia, my friends.. I'm sorry, I tried to keep the compass safe, but in the end it was too much for me.." Hana says softly under her breath.
"Regretting your foolishness before? We gave you an option to hand over the compass, and you choose not to." Lance says in an uncaring tone.
Lance throws a punch towards Hana while she's still on the ground.
Hana manages to roll over to the left and avoid the punch that came crashing into the wood of the building.
But she wasn't fast enough, as she tried to stand up after evading Lance swiftly grabbed her by the throat.
"Get your hands... off of me...!" Hana yells out as she digs her nails into his wrist trying to get him to loosen his hand from her throat.
She starts to lose consciousness, and her hands grip starts to get weaker and weaker.
Lance starts smiling, as he feels victory is close for him, ".. the compass is ours for the taking."
And with those words, memories of Eli flashed into the mind of Hana, and with that all the other memories of not just him, but with her friends, her life before the chaos. Her life was flashing before her own eyes.
"Let go of me... or.. you won't like what will happen..." Hana says, in a moment of desperation she does the unthinkable.
She reaches grabs the compass from her pocket, and holds it in her hand, "I'll crush it, if you don't let go of me.."
Lance once hearing that was in shock, he loosened his grip in attempt to grab the compass from her hands but his face met with Hana's foot.
"WHAMMM!"
Hana capitalized on his desperate attempt and kicked him in his chin.
But Hana hadn't anticipated him to barely be scratched from this.
"You... bitch.... How dare you kick me, you'll pay for that." Lance was furious, he had been embarrassed for falling for such a trick.
Hana could tell the shift in demeanor from him. He was enraged, and things were about to get serious.
Out at sea, near the island.
"Captain Lex Nero! We are approaching Burkey Island.. Please wake up!" Marine Lieutenant Nahuan shouts worrying about his Captain.
Captain Lex Nero, known for his feats out on the Grand line, was unexpectedly stationed at a nearby Marine Base by Marine Headquarters.
This was a decision made for two primary reasons. Firstly, cause of the influx of strong pirates in the East Blue like the Donning Crew. Secondly, because Smoker being stationed in the Grand line.
Smoker was an exceptional Marine, even amongst Marine Captains of all the seas he was a logia user which easily separated him from the other east blue captains, his reputation was no joke considering his records of not letting pirates have their way in Logue Town.
Perhaps the reason for the influx of pirates acting out of hand was due to smokers leave, or maybe for other reasons unnamed.
"Pop!"
"Ah shit, I fell asleep again."
Captain Lex wipes his nose from the sleep bubble that just popped.
"Captain Lex Nero! We are about arrive at Burkleys Island, what are your orders from here?" Marine Lieutenant Nuhuan shouts, keeping his body in a formal posture.
Captain Lex slowly gets up from laying down, grabbing his overly huge spear.
Captain Lex towered over his marine subordinates standing at 16ft tall.
Captain Lex Nero, also known as "The Spear of Justice."
Near Burkley Bar on Burkley Island.
"He's coming.. I need to think of something quick!" Hana thought, trying to think of something to resolve the situation she was in.
She thought of running but he was definitely quicker on his feet than her.
But she knew the fight is going to be totally different from this point forward, she felt his bloodlust each step he grew closer.
"Don Technique #4 Wing SLICE"
In a split moment, Lance swiped forward with his Elbow creating a curved projectile that launched towards Hana at incredible speeds.
Hana with her exceptional reaction time, jumped over the projectile.
"Don Technique #6 Donning Steps"
And just for a moment Lance had lunged forward at incredible speeds.
And at the same time Hana eyes widened.
Lance used a high-level movement technique to close the distance between her and him.
"BAMM!"
Lance was too quick for Hana's body and landed a punch directly on Hana's nose.
Hana landed on her back from the force of the attack.
Her nose was bleeding, but something was off about Hana.
"Don Technique #6 Donning Steps"
Lance again used the high-level movement technique, and this time he jumped, hovering Hana with the intention of punch her as she was still laying down.
But something was off. Lance felt it too.
Despite in this high-speed state of being, he took notice of Hana.
It was her eyes that was strange.
Her body wasn't moving an inch, but her eyes. Her eyes were tracking his movement like predator tracking its prey.
Those crimson eyes would haunt Lance for the years to come.
"I can see it." Hana says
"BAMMM"
Lance's fist crashed down into the ground, Hana who was supposed to be there, was just gone.
"W-What...! She was just right here laying down!" Lance was in immense confusion. How could she just be there for one second, but the next not be.
Lance turns around to see Hana who was in the middle of twisting her body.
"WOOSHHH!"
Hana had twisted her body to try to send a powerful kick to Lance, but Lance managed to evade it at the last second.
But Hana's wasn't finished, she kept twisting her body into a full 360, using her other leg to send a side-kick straight to his stomach.
It landed beautifully, the impact propelled Lance off of his feet and sent him crashing into a nearby wooden building.
Lance dusted himself off from the impact of the wooden building, he spit out blood from his mouth, and his expression was a sight to behold.
"T-Thats... Impossible.. but thats my move.... Who.. WHO ARE YOU!" Lance screams out in rage, as if he's unable to accept the circumstances that Hana had completely imitated his move.
"The twitch of his muscles, his footwork, his movement, I can see it all.. Ever since fighting that Buckler guy, I've noticed their movements are surprisingly easy to track, but keeping up with it physically has been difficult." Hana thought.
"Don Technique #6 Donning Steps"
Lance wasn't backing down yet, he used his movement technique in an attempt to catch her off-guard.
In an instant he was Infront of Hana, he twisted his body making himself ready to put full force into his next attack.
"Try to get away from this you brat!" Lance shouts while shifting the weight on his body to allow a powerful punch towards Hana's face
"DON TECHNIQUE #3 BUSTING IRON"
The Third Technique of the Don Techniques was considered to be the strongest technique amongst Lance's kit of attacks.
"DIE... YOU DAMN FOOL!" Lance screams while bringing his fist slamming towards Hana's direction.
"I told you.. I can see it." Hana says softly.
"Don Technique #6 Donning Steps"
Hana had completely copied his movement technique from watching him closely,
And evaded his attack easily.
She wasted no time in capitalizing on this moment, she wouldn't, she couldn't.
"Don Technique #3 Busting Iron"
Hana after reading his movements from his last attack, imitated it also perfectly.
Hana twisted her body and, in an instant, she had sent a punch crashing into his face, the punch busted a few teeth on impact, he was lifted off his feet from the sheer force of the punch and was sent flying through a wooden building directly behind him.
"Lance... was lance defeated...?" The crew gasps, in shock of the events that unfolded Infront of them, this woman who they never heard of, had defeated the Vice-Captain of the Donning Crew.
"Shut up you lot!" Captain Charles Don says, causing his crew members to gulp in nervousness from his words.
Charles Don walks forward, seemingly to engage in a fight with Hana.
"Woman, we have obviously underestimated your capabilities as a fighter... But"
Hana looks at Charles Don who is approaching her, she takes a step back as the sheer amount of bloodlust emitting from him is just incomparably worse than anything she felt from Lance or Buckler.
"Is he, their leader...?" Hana thought, she noticed his demeanor toward the group wasn't like the others.
"Woman, are you a pirate? Why do you feel so strongly to protect that Log Pose?" Charles says.. with genuine intrigue.
"Log Pose?? What is that?" Hana thought but after she realized he's talking about her Key Compass.
"Because. there someone I need to see again." Hana says, clenching her fist and staring Charles down with extreme resolve in her eyes.
Charles Don is even more intrigued, "So, there's someone you want to see again huh? But you know the grand line is a scary place to go through alone. Don't be so arrogant to think you can easily overcome such a place."
"Grand line? What is that?" Hana thought, Hana is confused by these terms she never heard before, she understood she needed to educate herself in this foreign place she had been transported to.
But surviving was Hana's biggest priority.
"I'm not acting arrogant. I just won't afford to give up here... I can't." Hana's resolve to bring back Eli hadn't changed.
"Shame, but don't worry about the Grand line, as you likely won't escape alive from here anyway" Charles says, while approaching Hana.
But before a fight could start, they were both interrupted.
There was a sound getting louder and louder, a sound of something being dragged across dirt was heard. It was like someone was dragging a piece of metal across the dirt and couldn't bother to pick it up.
"All this goddamn yapping and rambling, pirates just never learn to shut the hell up do they?" a man says loudly without a care in the world.
The man was one of the tallest people Hana ever seen at 16 ft tall, she thought she had seen a giant.
"Marine Captain Lex Nero... also known as the "Spear of Justice", you.. you're supposed to be at the Grand line." Charles Don says shocked but also a hint of excitement, at a challenge, and a possible taste of what the Grand line had to offer.
"Pirate Captain Charles Don of the Donning Crew, I've encountered many pirates like you, full of spirit but all pirates have the same fate when my spear makes contact with them." Captain Lex Nero says calmy without a hint of care.
"Hah, thats funny, I could almost say the same thing about Marines when they come in contact with my fist." Charles Don says.
Lex Nero picks up his spear being dragged from the ground and lays the edge of his blade on top of his own shoulder, and before he could respond he was interrupted.
"Brother... I'm... not done just yet..." Lance says, walking from the rubble of the wooden building he had crashed into earlier by Hana.
But he wasn't paying attention to who he had just walked out Infront of, the towering Marine soldier of Justice, the man who was feared as the Spear of Justice in the grand line.
"LOOK OUT LANCE!" Charles shouted for his brother to take cover from the danger he had put himself in.
As Lance looked to his side, with his vision still blurry from the impact of Hana's attack, he met eyes with the man, whom he would later recall as a Monster.
Lance's eyes met his gaze, and his gaze was something different from what Lance had ever seen. It was different from his brothers. It was as if he was looking into the eyes of a man who had slaughtered thousands.
That man looked at Lance as a bug, and he soon realized with the spear that followed, that was all he was to Lex, a bug.
"WHAMMMMM"
The overly huge spear had made impact with Lances ribs, Lance was instantly made unconscious upon impact and sent flying through the old wooden building he previously flew through.
At this time when Lex had landed this attack on Lance, he had realized two things.
The first thing he realized was that who he hit was indeed a weak fellow to him, quite obvious to Lex this man was no different than the weak pirates he stomped on in the Grand line.
The second thing he realized was that this bug he had just stomped on, had a bad and bigger, more ruthless brother who didn't waste any time showing whose family Lex had just messed with.
"Don Technique #1 THE CRUSHER OF STEEL"
"WHAMMMM!"
Charles Don fist landed a direct impact on Lex's face, Charles slammed Lex's entire body into the ground causing a small crater from the sheer force, it was a site to be seen.
"This is my queue to get out of here.." Hana thought, she instantly performed Donning Steps to get out of area swiftly, the shore was in distance but there was a huge obstacle she had to get by.
"At shore of Burkley Island."
"Damn it, Captain never listens to me, why did he have to jump off ship before we could anchor it?" Nuhuan sighs in a sense of frustration.
"Alright Marines! Our missions is simple, capture or kill the Donning Crew members!"
Before the Marines could respond they all noticed a girl running from the island to its shore.
"Shit.. a Donning Crew member? I heard these island residents were just old men and alcoholics.. Thats got to be one of the crewmates of the Donning Crew" Nuhuan thought.
"Make sure she doesn't leave!" Nuhuan commands to his Marines, not allowing justice to be unserved.
"Stop right there!" a Marine shouts, he aims his musket towards her.
Hana pauses for a moment, surprised by the gun, however that didn't scare her, she wasted no time using Donning Steps to close the distance, which would be followed by a ruthless punch that crashed into the Marines chin, rendering him unconscious immediately.
"Damn it, she's definitely one of the pirates, Marines capture her!" Nuhuan shouts out to his marines.
These men were too slow for Hana, it was like they were moving in slow motion for her.
Hana picks up the musket off the ground of the Marine who had got knocked out and swung it like a bat smacking 4 different Marines, they all got knocked out instantly.
Only leaving Marine Lieutenant Nuhuan to take out.
"S-Stay BACK!!! You Evil PIRATE!!" Nuhuan shouts, scared for his life that this girl would kill him.
Hana smirked, because she just thought of her get away ticket from the island.
