The spearhead pierced straight through the Dragonfang General's skull, and as Bai Qiu twisted the shaft, the creature's brain was completely pulverized.
Its health bar emptied in an instant, and a green-gold glowing orb drifted into Bai Qiu's body.
A flash of white light followed—his level had risen—and the Dragonfang General's corpse dissolved into particles of light.

"Tch." Bai Qiu tore his shirt into strips and tightly wrapped the mangled remains of his right arm several times, pulling hard to stop the bleeding.
The wound the Dragonfang General had left was far worse than he'd expected—if he washed off the blood, he could probably see daylight through the hole in his arm.
Were it not for the recovery effect upon leveling up, he would likely have been forced to sit on the rooftop, waiting for the injury to worsen.
He hadn't explored every corner of the Safe Zone earlier, but he did remember seeing several strange buildings and people inside—there might be something there to treat his arm.
If not, given the world's current medical state, his right arm was as good as useless.
He had never imagined that going down a flight of stairs could be more exhausting than climbing up—but somehow, he made it back to the Safe Zone.
Heading straight toward the cluster of unfamiliar buildings, Bai Qiu drew stares from the people around him—his bloodied, battered appearance impossible to ignore.
Still, no one seemed particularly shocked; there were plenty of others here just as wounded as he was.
Only now did Bai Qiu take a proper look at the Safe Zone's structure.
It had once been an ordinary plaza, but now, the area covered by the golden barrier was enormous.
Judging by his pace, it would take him at least half an hour of nonstop running along the light's perimeter just to make one full circuit.
The interior was incredibly smooth, with a grayish-white floor that looked like it was made of cement.
At the center stood an unfamiliar black structure — it looked like a mix between a castle and a tower.
Only when one got close could they realize how massive it was — even the gate alone was over three meters tall.
Inside the tower, the space was far larger than it appeared from the outside.
The floor was smoother and emitted a faint glow, and there were many small shops lining the area.
How should one describe it… some sold food, some were blacksmiths, and others did things he couldn't quite understand.
But the thing that drew his attention the most — the shopkeepers weren't human.
Some of them had long, pointed ears, heterochromatic eyes, and hair in all colors and styles.
They came in all shapes and sizes — and even some shapes that shouldn't exist.
The blacksmith, for example, was barely one meter thirty tall, yet his sturdy frame and rugged face made it impossible to mistake him for a child.
His thick, broom-like beard was even denser than his hair — it stood out far too much.
He didn't even glance at Bai Qiu, remaining completely focused on hammering metal over his anvil.
Bai Qiu twitched his right hand slightly; the pain was growing sharper, and blood was already seeping through the bandage.
He couldn't afford to keep getting distracted.
He had to find a pharmacy and buy medicine to treat his wound.
Since there was even a blacksmith here, there had to be doctors or healers as well.
As he walked along the tower's corridor, scanning the surroundings, he finally spotted a sign that looked like it belonged to a pharmacy.
But the person standing behind the counter was…
A girl — with a pair of long, fluffy rabbit ears on her head.
Her eyes were a bright emerald green, sparkling like gemstones, and her outfit was… rather revealing.
Her figure, too, was quite striking.
"Cosplay? Or…" Bai Qiu muttered to himself, approaching the counter.
But before he could even speak, the girl greeted him first.
"Welcome! What would you like to buy, mister?" Her voice was lively and gentle, carrying a cheerful warmth — clearly, she was a bright and energetic type of girl.
"Do you have any medicine for treating arm injuries? Like a piercing wound…" Bai Qiu said, shaking his right hand.
"Eek! That's a serious wound! And you're still chatting so calmly? Hold on, I'll grab something right away!" The bunny-eared clerk exclaimed, then dashed into the back of the shop — thud thud thud! — before quickly running back out again with the same energetic rhythm.
She came back holding two glass tubes of different sizes — they looked like test tubes, each filled with a dark green liquid.
The openings were sealed with wooden stoppers.
They looked… exactly like the healing items you'd see in a video game!
"This one's a Small Healing Potion, and this one's a Medium Healing Potion," she said brightly.
"They're priced at one and two Sanctum Coins each. You can drink it or apply them externally! Oh, and by the way — if you use both methods together, you can maximize the healing speed!"
She spoke quickly as she explained their effects, and by this point, Bai Qiu had basically figured it out.
The girl before him probably wasn't human — judging from the items she produced, these things clearly came from a completely different civilization.
Still, he didn't rush to buy anything and instead asked, "If I use both internally and externally, how long will it take for my wound to heal? And how often should I use it?"
"Hmm… with the Small Healing Potion, maybe around half an hour. If it's the Medium one, ten minutes should do it!" she replied.
Bai Qiu nodded, took out two Sanctum Coins, and after confirming that was indeed the currency she accepted, purchased two bottles of the small potion.
He then borrowed the washroom to rinse the blood from his arm, uncorked one of the tubes, and poured the liquid directly over his wound before drinking the other bottle in one go.
The liquid coated the wound in a thin layer of dark green — or more accurately, gel-like — substance.
At first, it stung a little, then began to itch faintly.
He could literally feel his wound healing — even see it mending before his eyes.
It was incredible.
This thing, which looked like a low-level in-game healing item… already far surpassed any modern medicine for external injuries!
After confirming the potion's effectiveness, Bai Qiu exchanged all his remaining Sanctum Coins for more Small Healing Potions.
Then, he turned back to the bunny-eared girl with a question.
"If Sanctum Coins only drop from defeating elite monsters, wouldn't that make it really difficult for most people to afford the goods here?"
At his words, the girl tilted her head slightly, looking at him with a puzzled expression.
