After five minutes, the door of the ward opened and two individuals wearing hoodies stepped inside. They had pulled their hoods down low, keeping their faces hidden.
"Are you sure you wanna do this, Ryuga? Dangers aside, aren't you still hurt?"
One of the tall men slid his hood down, revealing his face. The man was none other than Daichi. The one beside him was Souta.
"Haaaah…" Ryuga sighed and let out a chuckle. "I'm already half dead. I should be the one asking you this question, not the other way around."
Both of their brows creased at his reply. Souta, in particular, noticed something off.
"You're diverting us from the main question. Are you hurt, Kami Ryuga?"
Souta's voice was cold and numb, completely unlike his usual cheerful tone. Ryuga's eyes flickered for the briefest moment.
"Well… that's one way to address your injured friend."
"Answer the damn question."
"No."
"Huh?"
"I said no. N. O. No. Should I repeat it a few more times?"
