Chapter 1 - 1 - Living Oasis

Opening his eyes, Li Neng Yuan found himself on a red pillow atopa black mattress.

The pillow was soft, almost luxurious, in stark contrast to the cold hard cockpit he last remembered. As he adjusted to his surroundings, the dim light revealed intricate details around him, confirming that this was no ordinary bed but rather a large one with red canopy curtains on all four ends.

Usually reserved for the Emperor, Empress, and Princess in Dai Dynasty, such lavishness was reserved for the highest echelons of power and royalty.

His mind raced with questions. How did he get here? Why was he in such an opulent setting? The last he remembered was the battle, his loss of comrades, the mysterious black and blue jet fighter, double vision, giddiness and then darkness.

Getting up from his bed, he found himself in entirely white robes and dark boots instead of blue and white battle armor. Exploring, he also discovered himself in a vast chamber with black tapestries and another set of red curtains adorning the windows.

The tapestries were embroidered with gold and silver threads, depicting ancient battles, red dragons against white unicorns, and other symbols of power and authority. The red curtains matched the canopy, their rich hue absorbing the sparse light that filtered into the room. As he stood, he felt a slight dizziness, a residual effect of whatever had knocked him out.

His senses gradually adjusted to his surroundings. The air was cool and carried a faint, pleasant fragrance, possibly incense, that added to the chamber's solemn and regal atmosphere. The silence was almost oppressive, amplifying the soft rustle of the curtains and the distant echo of his own movements.

He cautiously stepped forward, his feet sinking into the thick, plush and red carpet that covered the floor. Each step made him more aware of the opulence around him, from the gilded furniture to the intricate designs on the walls.

His mind struggled to piece together what had happened. Had he been captured? Was this some elaborate illusion or a strange form of hospitality? The more he thought about it, the more questions arose. He needed answers and quickly. His instincts, honed from years of combat and survival, urged him to stay alert, to be prepared for anything.

Approaching one of the windows, he gently parted the curtains to peer outside. The view was breathtaking, revealing a sprawling landscape bathed in the soft light of dawn. Yet, there were no familiar landmarks, nothing to tell him exactly where he was.

Determined to find answers, he turned away from the window and headed towards the ornate double doors at the end of the chamber. Each step he took echoed slightly, a reminder of the chamber's vastness and his solitude within it.

The doors were massive, carved with intricate designs and inlaid with precious stones. He hesitated for a moment, his hand hovering over the handle. Taking a deep breath, he steeled himself for whatever lay beyond and pulled the doors open, ready to confront the mysteries that awaited him.

At this moment, the doors suddenly opened and entered a tanned woman with red hair and dressed in magenta sleeveless outfit, pants and black boots. On her body wrist was a rather paler version of belt sash while on her arms were bracelets of complimentary color.

"You are awake." She said as her almond-colored eyes narrowed in gaze despite her friendly smile.

"What is this place and who are you?" Neng Yuan asked.

The woman did not answer him immediately. Instead she approached the circular table in front of his bed, took up the jug and poured the liquid into one of two black porcelain cups with similar creatures as on the tapestries. Then she presented to him saying: "Here, drink this."

Feeling thirsty and dry from deep sleep, he i took the cup and drank what turned out to be fresh holy water.

"My name is Xenata. What's yours?" It was at that moment she introduced herself before asking.

"I am Li Neng Yuan. Where am I?" Neng Yuan asked, his eyes still scanning the vast chamber, taking in the opulent surroundings and trying to piece together how he had ended up here.

"Living Oasis." Xenata replied calmly, her tone steady and reassuring.

"Living Oasis?" Neng Yuan echoed, his voice tinged with confusion. The name was unfamiliar, and he still could not fathom how he had been saved and brought to this place. The events leading up to his unconsciousness were a blur, and now he found himself in an environment that felt both safe and surreal.

"May I ask why were you attacked?" Her voice cut through his thoughts through another enquiry, her almond-colored eyes narrowing slightly as she observed him.

"I also have no idea." Neng Yuan admitted, shaking his head in bewilderment. The attack had been sudden and ferocious, leaving him with more questions than answers.

"If not for me and my tribe members' intervention, you would have died." Xenata said, her tone in relief and admonition. "Despite the odds, we barely managed to drive your assailant away and bring you here for rest and recovery."

Neng Yuan processed her words, feeling grateful and confused at the same time. He realized that he owed his life to this woman and her tribe, and that understanding more about them, and their motives was crucial. The situation was becoming clearer, yet the mystery of why he had been targeted still loomed large in his mind.

"Are you feeling better now after drinking?" Xenata asked, her voice gentle and concerned. "This is our sacred water."

Neng Yuan nodded, feeling a soothing warmth spreading through his body as the sacred water worked its magic.

"If so, I like to bring you to our Highness." Xenata said, her tone shifting to one of formal invitation.

"Highness? You mean the Highness is here too?" Neng Yuan asked, his thoughts immediately jumping to the possibility that Princess Dai Yu might be in this hidden sanctuary.

Shaking her head with a kind smile, Xenata clarified, "Our Highness has been here for decades and has never once stepped out of Living Oasis."

Neng Yuan looked around the vast and ornate chamber, taking in the rich tapestries and heavy curtains before inquiring: "May I ask why is this place called Living Oasis?"

"We are deep underground below Shangyesu plains in Eastern Haofeng within the Empire." Xenata explained. "But even while we live, we are as good as dead since our world is isolated from them. That is why this place is called Living Oasis."

Placing the cup back on the table, Neng Yuan turned to face her, his expression a mix of curiosity and concern. "Xenata, since you are all alive, why do you consider yourselves as good as dead and why do you isolate from the rest of the world? What kind of people are you?"

Xenata's eyes softened with a touch of sadness as she began to explain, "Our Highness used to be one of your late Emperor Dai Ci's five concubines. But after the first Dai Capital invasion, we barely escaped from captivity and death. Unfortunately, as much as we tried, we were unable to escape from the Empire. Having found this place by accident, we decided to make it our home and possibly form a resistance force should they discover us and intend to capture us again."

Neng Yuan listened intently, his mind grappling with the weight of her words. The realization that these people were survivors of a brutal past, living in secret to evade their enemies, filled him with a profound sense of empathy and a newfound resolve to understand more about their plight and possibly aid them in their struggle.

Living Oasis was a hidden sanctuary unlike anything he had ever seen.

Stepping out of the chamber with Xenata, Neng Yuan found himself in a vast subterranean valley illuminated by a soft ethereal glow from the cavern walls. The centrepiece was a series of cascading fountains, each one feeding into the next, creating a tranquil symphony of flowing water. Surrounding these fountains were valleys filled with blooming red herbal flowers, their vibrant colors and soothing fragrances filling the air.

The herbal flowers were unlike any found on the surface, their petals shimmering with an otherworldly iridescence. Each flower seemed to pulse with life, their medicinal properties evident in the way they thrived in this hidden sanctuary. Paths of smooth, polished stone wound through these floral valleys, leading to rows of elegantly built chambers. Each chamber was intricately designed, with walls adorned in delicate carvings and tapestries that depicted scenes of a bygone era. The craftsmanship spoke of a culture that valued beauty and harmony, even in exile.

Xenata led Neng Yuan through these paths, and he could not help but marvel at the serene beauty. The architecture blended seamlessly with the natural surroundings, creating an atmosphere of peaceful coexistence between humanity and nature. The chambers, though simple, were exquisitely furnished, with fine fabrics and carefully chosen decor that reflected the tribe's tastes.

As they continued their journey, they approached a special arch bridge that spanned a crystal-clear stream, the waters of which fed into the cascading fountains. The bridge was a masterpiece of engineering and art, constructed from polished white stone and adorned with intricate carvings of mythical creatures and floral patterns. Vines of glowing flowers wound around the railings, their soft light casting a gentle glow on the path ahead.

Crossing the bridge, Neng Yuan felt a sense of reverence, as if each step brought him closer to understanding the history and resilience of the people who lived here. The bridge seemed to symbolize the connection between the past and the present, a link between the hidden world of Living Oasis and the memories of the Dai Dynasty that its inhabitants carried with them.

On the other side of the bridge, they approached the largest and most ornate of the chambers, where the Old Highness resided. The chamber was set apart from the others, its entrance framed by pillars carved with intricate designs and draped with luxurious red curtains.

As Xenata led him inside, Neng Yuan prepared himself to meet the woman who had guided her people through decades of hidden resistance, and perhaps to learn more about his own place in this unfolding story.

The main hall chamber was an awe-inspiring sight, a testament to the hidden civilization's dedication to preserving their culture and heritage. The exterior of the chamber was grand, with towering pillars of polished stone etched with ancient symbols and floral motifs. Those pillars framed a massive entranceway, draped with rich red and gold curtains that swayed gently in the underground breeze. The hall itself was partially carved into the cavern wall, seamlessly blending with the natural rock formations around it.

At the far end, an elevated platform housed the main dais. The platform was adorned with ornate carvings and flanked by large, glowing crystals that bathed the area in a soft, welcoming light. The dais itself was covered in plush red carpeting, leading up to the central throne, which was crafted from shimmering white crystal. This throne stood out not only for its grandeur but for its purity and elegance, symbolizing the authority and wisdom of its occupant.

The tribe lined up in two separate flanks along the length of the hall, creating a majestic and orderly formation. Each woman was dressed in a primary black tunic, accentuated by additional colors that added vibrancy and distinction to their ranks. Red, purple, pink, green, blue, and white tunics were interspersed among the black, symbolizing the unity and diversity within their community. They stood tall and poised, their expressions a mixture of curiosity and respect as they watched Neng Yuan approach the dais.

Seated at the center of the dais, on the white crystal throne, was the Old Highness. She was an imposing figure, dressed entirely in flowing white robes that matched her throne and hair. Her long mane of white hair fell gracefully around her shoulders, adding to her regal appearance. Her eyes, shadowed by dark circles, bore into him with determination and scepticism. Black lines ran down her cheeks, and her lips were painted a stark black, contrasting sharply with her pale complexion. Beside her throne stood a long, translucent crystal walking stick, a symbol of her enduring strength and authority.

Standing before the Old Highness, Xenata knelt gracefully, her movements fluid and respectful. She turned to Neng Yuan and urged him to follow with a nod.

"Greetings, Your Highness. Li Neng Yuan has woken, and I now bring him before you." Xenata said, her voice steady and respectful.

Neng Yuan, feeling the weight of the moment, knelt beside Xenata.

"Greetings, Your Highness. I am Li Neng Yuan and pay my respects to you." he greeted; his tone filled with reverence.

The Old Highness regarded them both with a steady gaze. After a moment, she gestured with a delicate yet authoritative hand before saying: "You may both rise."

As they stood, Neng Yuan felt a mixture of awe and curiosity.

The Old Highness turned her piercing gaze to him and asked: "Young Master Li Neng Yuan, are you surprised by this place and how you got here?"

"Yes." Neng Yuan nodded in confirmation, though he felt slightly taken aback by her stern tone.

"I believe Xenata has told you what place this is," The Old Highness said, her voice carrying a slight edge of anxiety.

"Yes, she told me." Neng Yuan replied, maintaining his calmness and respect in his tone.

"Now that you have seen us, have you seen anyone else leaving here alive?" She asked, her voice suddenly rising with intensity.

"No." Neng Yuan answered, bewildered by the sudden change in her demeanour.

"Til now, no one else has ever left this place alive!" She continued, her voice firm and resolute. "For here we don't allow anybody to get out nor outsiders to enter here! Especially men!"

Her eyes burned with fierce determination as she spoke. Upon saying those words, she slammed her hand on the throne's right armrest, the sound echoing through the chamber and emphasizing the finality of her statement.

Taken back by her declaration, he responded, "In that case, I make my move."

Upon turning to leave, he found himself intercepted by all the tribeswomen, who activated and drew their plasma energy blades. The glowing colors corresponded with the additional colors of their tunics, contrasting against the black attire they wore.

"Young Master Li, I don't think you heard me clearly." The Old Highness said. "Since you are already here, you are not allowed to leave!"

Turning back to her with indignation, he declared, "No. I am on an urgent mission. I must leave!"

"Since you are here, you are as good as dead." The Old Highness maintained firmly. "Whatever happens outside is no longer your concern!"

"No, I must leave no matter what!" Neng Yuan insisted strongly. He had been entrusted by the Majesty to find and bring his brother back, and he was determined to keep his promise.

"You still want to leave? In that case, you ask Xenata." The Old Highness said, turning back to his companion. Xenata nodded before looking at him with the same resolve.

One of the tribeswomen in purple tunic and black attire suddenly presented him her glowing energy blade handle and said: "Young Master Li, please use my saber."

Looking at Xenata, he asked, "You want to fight with me?"

"Young Master Li, please use her saber." Xenata repeated, her expression and tone mirroring the Old Highness and her fellow tribeswomen.

"If you can beat my best warrior, Xenata, I let you leave immediately!" The Old Highness declared.

Reluctantly, Neng Yuan accepted the purple beam saber from the tribeswoman and prepared to duel with Xenata. As the duel commenced with all tribeswomen retreating to make space, he exhibited his Shui Qing Lian Hua Jian swordplay with fluidity and precision, the purple blade gleaming under the dim light of the sanctuary. His movements were calculated and swift, each strike aimed with lethal intent.

On the other side, Xenata activated and twirled her red plasma energy whip with expertise, the crackling energy surrounding her like a shield. Her movements were graceful yet powerful, the whip slicing through the air with precision.

Their clash echoed through the chamber, beam saber against energy whip filling the space. Though his swordsmanship was impressive with each strike executed with skill and determination, her whip skill proved to be better, its crackling energy creating a barrier that was difficult to penetrate.

Despite his best efforts, he struggled to keep up with her relentless assault. Her whip danced around his blade, deflecting his strikes with ease. With each passing moment, he realized that he was facing an opponent unlike any he had encountered before. He pushed himself to the limit, his focus unwavering despite the overwhelming odds. He could feel the weight of the moment pressing down on him, the outcome of the duel hanging in the balance.

In retaliation, Xenata launched a devastating attack, her whip lashing out with ferocity. Despite reacting instinctively, his efforts were in vain. The crackling whip disarmed him effortlessly, leaving him vulnerable to her next move.

In minutes, he found himself ensnared by her whip, the crackling energy coiling around his legs like a viper. Despite his struggles, he was unable to break free, his movements restricted by the relentless force of her attack. With a sense of defeat washing over him, he was brought down before the Old Highness with her follow-up kick against his tied legs, his strength no match for her skill. Down on his knees, he could not help but feel a sense of disappointment.

At this moment, the Old Highness suddenly laughed, her voice echoing through the grand chamber. It was a laugh filled with a mix of amusement and approval as she clapped her hands in applause, the sound sharp and decisive.

"Great! Great show!" She exclaimed, her tone dripping with a blend of satisfaction and mockery. Her eyes sparkled with a strange light as she observed the defeated Neng Yuan at her feet, clearly entertained by the display of skill by her best warrior and the outcome of the duel.

Neng Yuan, still catching his breath from the intense fight, could only look up at her in frustration. Despite giving everything he had, it was not enough to overcome her best warrior. Her laughter felt like salt in the wound, mocking his efforts and the seriousness of his mission.

Xenata, standing nearby with her whip still crackling softly and tied around his legs, bowed slightly towards the Old Highness. Her face was calm, showing no signs of the exertion from the duel. It was clear she had been holding back, a realization that only deepened Neng Yuan's sense of defeat.

"You fought bravely, Young Master Li." The Old Highness continued with a more measured tone. "But you can also see why I still regard Xenata as my best warrior."

Her eyes bore into his, challenging him to comprehend the depth of her words. Neng Yuan, still on his knees and in pain, clenched his fists in frustration but knew he had to maintain his composure. This was not the end of his journey, merely a difficult chapter in his quest.

Still indignant over his defeat and humiliation in front of Old Highness and her Living Oasis members, Li Neng Yuan refused to yield to discouragement and despair.

That despite being the lone male in an all-female tribe. His resolve stayed stronger, driven by the need to prove himself and escape this place.

The following day, he returned to the special arch bridge over the clear stream. Dressed entirely in his white robes, tunic, and boots, he activated his blue saber blade and began practicing his Shui Qing Lian Hua Jian swordplay with renewed determination. This was the only technique he became intimately familiar with and could fully focus on, despite having learned other skills at Dai Academy. Although he had lost to Xenata despite giving his best effort, he was determined to keep practicing and improving.

As he concentrated on the basics and fundamentals - thrust, swing, stroke, and his body movements in both attack, defence and leap, his mind was also occupied with plotting strategies to break through Xenata's whip formation. He also considered how to counter probably even more powerful skills of Old Highness though she had yet to display. He knew that overcoming these challenges was his only hope of getting out of here.

He visualized her movements, anticipating her attacks and planning his counters. The memory of her skill and speed pushed him to refine his technique further, to be faster and more agile. His body moved fluidly, each motion a blend of grace and power. The sound of his saber cutting through the air was a testament to his focus and dedication. The serene environment of the stream and bridge provided a stark contrast to the intensity of his training, underscoring his isolation and singular focus.

His mind also wandered to the other Living Oasis Sect members and guards. He knew that escaping meant more than just defeating Xenata or Old Highness. But also outsmarting and overcoming an entire tribe of skilled warriors. Each member of the tribe represented a potential obstacle especially as group formation, a challenge he would have to face.

Despite the overwhelming odds, he refused to let doubt creep into his mind. His practice was not just physical but also a mental preparation for the challenges ahead. Upon landing on the bridge, he noticed one of the sect members approaching him. She carried a silver tray with a container and a bowl, which she placed on a rock in front of the bridge. Her purple hair, calm look, and attire - also purple tunic, boots, and black clothing - identified her as Queni, Xenata's deputy who had handed him her purple beam saber.

"Young Master Li, you must be tired after a long, hard practice. Please drink the soup I served for you." She said, pouring the soup from the container into the bowl. Then, presenting it to him, she asked, "Can you let me feed you?"

"No need. I can help myself," Neng Yuan replied, deactivating his blade and placing the handle back into his wrist belt sheath.

"Then I want to see you drink." Queni insisted, her expression remaining neutral.

"Okay." Neng Yuan agreed, taking the bowl from her and drinking the soup.

"If you are bored, you can take a walk around." Queni suggested.

"Really? Does the Old Highness allow?" Neng Yuan asked, feeling relieved by her suggestion.

"Of course. If the Highness approves, no one dares to defy." Queni confirmed.

Placing the bowl back on the tray, he said, "In that case, please convey my thanks to her."

Queni nodded, and Neng Yuan turned and headed back the way he came to the bridge, his mind already considering the possibility of exploring his surroundings under the Old Highness's tacit approval.

As Neng Yuan descended from the bridge and high point, he discovered the breathtaking beauty of the Living Oasis valleys and waterfalls, which he had not noticed before.

Below the bridge where he had practiced his swordplay, a lush, verdant valley unfolded, framed by towering cliffs adorned with vibrant, cascading greenery.

The sight took him by surprise, a hidden paradise that seemed worlds away from the intense training and battles he had experienced. The valley was crisscrossed by numerous streams, their crystal-clear waters sparkling in the sunlight as they wound their way through the landscape. Small wooden footbridges spanned these streams, allowing for easy passage and adding to the rustic charm of the place. The air was filled with the soothing sounds of flowing water, birdsong, and the occasional rustle of leaves as a gentle breeze swept through the trees.

Dominating the valley were several majestic waterfalls, their waters tumbling down the cliffs in frothy white torrents. The largest waterfall, a stunning cascade that dropped from a great height, created a misty veil at its base, casting rainbows in the sunlight. Smaller waterfalls dotted the cliffs, each contributing to the serene and picturesque environment. Pools formed at the bases of these waterfalls, their surfaces mirror-like and reflecting the surrounding beauty.

Exploring further, Neng Yuan found himself at the edge of a large, tranquil pool at the base of the main waterfall. The water was so clear that he could see the smooth stones at the bottom, and fish darted playfully among them. The mist from the waterfall kissed his face, cooling and refreshing him. It was here, in this hidden gem of a valley, that he felt a sense of calm and renewal, a reminder that even amid conflict and struggle, there were places of peace and beauty to be found.

Then he heard female voices from the other end of the pool. Gazing ahead from a distance, he saw what looked like Xenata and five of her fellow sect members swimming in the pool. Realizing they were naked, he instinctively turned and walked away, feeling a mixture of embarrassment and respect for their privacy.

He had not gotten far when suddenly Xenata leapt from behind and landed right in front of him, fully dressed as she had been when he first saw her. This was a complete surprise to him as he marvelled at how quickly she had reached the shore and dressed herself.

"Young Master Li, do you like to join us in our swim?" She asked.

"No need. I am a guy, and you are all women. I do not want to cause any misunderstanding." Neng Yuan replied, turning her down.

"Do not worry. It is just us and Old Highness here. If you are not comfortable swimming with us, let me join you on your stroll," She assured him with a warm smile. As she spoke, she reached out and held his hand with her tanned fingers.

He felt the icy cold and rough texture of her skin. From that, he could tell she was a seasoned warrior, having endured years of training and harder times despite being woman. They walked along the riverbanks for ten minutes. As they walked, Xenata asked: "Why do you keep quiet all the sudden?"

"I am admiring the Living Oasis scenery," Neng Yuan replied, though he was looking for a way to escape.

"You don't have to lie to me." Xenata said, reading his mind even without being told. "You are looking for a way to get out of here. But I must be honest with you. All other men who tried entering were killed. The fact that we saved you should make you grateful. That was already my first act of defiance against the Highness, who does not like men intruding here given our past."

"Xenata, I am grateful for your honesty and help." Neng Yuan said. "But I have an important mission and need to get out. Can you help me again?"

"Sorry, I can't." Xenata apologized quickly. "However, I have a better suggestion which you do not need to fight me, Old Highness and everyone here."

"Which is?" Neng Yuan asked out of curiosity

"If any of our members here agree to marry you and start a family, our Highness will definitely release you with her blessings." Xenata revealed.

"What?" he asked, unable to believe what he had just heard.

"I just told you clearly and do not like to repeat myself." Xenata said, narrowing her gaze while maintaining eye contact with him.

"How can that be possible? I already have another woman in mind," Neng Yuan responded.

"If so, it is either you stay or die fighting your way out." Xenata said before breaking away from him.

The following night, Neng Yuan attempted his first escape.

Running through the woods, he scanned for a way out, desperate to find an exit from Living Oasis. He chose the night for his attempt, presuming most of the members would be asleep, leaving only a few guards on duty. He could be right or wrong. Either way, he had to take his chances.

Dressed in black for night camouflage, carrying his backpack and beam saber, he hurried across the dark and leaf-strewn ground. He aimed to reach the waterfall valleys, fountain cliffs or even the large pool he had seen earlier where Xenata and her fellow sect members were swimming during the day.

Upon reaching a row of tree trucks decorated with illuminating red skulls, likely decapitated from male corpses, he heard a voice crying out to him: "Young Master Li, do not try to escape or we will be nasty to you!"

Upon hearing the warning, Neng Yuan halted his frantic run and shifted to a cautious walk. The words echoed in his mind, urging him to tread carefully through the eerie forest. He eyed the tree trunks adorned with illuminated red skulls, symbols of death and warning. Every step he took was deliberate, mindful of potential booby traps that might be concealed within the trees or on the ground. His senses were heightened, and his heart pounded as he moved forward, every rustle of leaves sending a jolt of anxiety through him.

Suddenly, two women clad in pink tunic and dark clothing leapt from the trees above. Their sudden appearance was both startling and menacing, their movements fluid and predatory. They brandished illuminating pink saber blades that cast an eerie glow in the dark forest. Their eyes glinted with determination and hostility, signalling that they were not just there to scare him but to engage him in combat.

His muscles tensed as he prepared to defend himself. With swift precision, he reached for his own saber handle. In a fluid motion, he activated the blue blade, its bright hue clashing dramatically with the pink counterparts of his attackers.

The night was filled with the hum and clash of their weapons as they engaged in a fierce duel. Sparks flew with each contact, illuminating the dark forest in brief flashes of blue and pink light. His focus was intense, his movements driven by both desperation and survival instincts. The women attacked with a synchronized ferocity, their blades whirling and striking in an intricate dance of aggression.

He countered each of their blows, his blade a blur as he parried and struck back. The ground beneath them became a chaotic battlefield, littered with leaves and the remnants of their combat. He could feel the strain of the fight in his own muscles, the adrenaline fuelling his every move, and the weight of his mission pressing heavily on his mind. Despite the overwhelming odds, his determination did not waver. He fought with a resolve born of necessity, every strike and parry executed with precision.

The women's attacks grew more frantic as they realized his skill matched their own. He knew he could not afford to lose this battle. With a final, decisive maneuver, he disarmed one of his attackers, sending her saber clattering to the ground. The other woman hesitated, and in that moment of uncertainty, Neng Yuan seized the opportunity to press his advantage, his blade poised for the next move.

However, just as he thought he had gained the upper hand, another four women descended from the trees, surrounding him. Among them was Queni, Xenata's second-in-command, who served him soup while he practiced his swordplay. She stood out in her dark clothing and purple tunic, her saber blade glowing menacingly. The other three women wore yellow tunics, each brandishing blades of the same color. Their synchronized arrival and aggressive stances indicated they were well-prepared for this confrontation.

Queni stepped forward, her eyes locked onto Neng Yuan with determination and familiarity.

"You should have known better, Young Master Li." she said, her voice carrying a hint of disappointment. Her blade hummed as she brandished it, a stark reminder of the threat she posed. The other women fanned out, their yellow blades creating a daunting circle around him.

Queni moved first, her purple blade slashing through the air towards him. Neng Yuan parried her strike, the clash of their blades ringing out in the night. The other women joined in almost simultaneously, their yellow blades flashing and slicing through the air from all directions.

His movements became a blur of defensive maneuvers and counterattacks. He spun and dodged, his blue blade intercepting the flurry of yellow and purple strikes. The ground around him became a chaotic dance of clashing sabres and flying sparks. Despite his skill, the sheer number of his attackers began to take its toll. He could feel the strain in his arms and the sting of near misses grazing his skin. Each movement had to be precise, each decision split-second, as he fought to keep himself from being overwhelmed.

Queni's attacks were particularly relentless. She seemed to be testing him, pushing him to his limits with each strike. Her apparent familiarity with his fighting style, gained from observing him practice, made her a formidable opponent.

"Surrender now and we won't harm you." She urged between strikes, her tone both commanding and concerned.

But Neng Yuan knew surrender was not an option. He could see no escape, but his determination to survive and complete his mission kept him fighting. With a renewed surge of effort, he launched a series of counterattacks, aiming to break through their encirclement and get out of Living Oasis.

While the Old Highness was praying to the Goddess Eternity mini statue at the altar stand in the main hall chamber, Xenata attended to her, ensuring everything was in place and the atmosphere remained solemn.

The tranquil scene was abruptly interrupted when one tribe warrior came rushing in, her face flushed with urgency.

"Your Highness, Li Neng Yuan tried to escape! Despite being outnumbered, he was very determined, and we could not hold on to him," she reported breathlessly.

The Old Highness, startled by the news, pounded her fist on the stand, the sound echoing through the chamber and shattering the calm. She turned to her best warrior, her expression a mix of frustration and resolve and instructed: "Xenata, go and help them."

"Yes, Your Highness," Xenata responded with a deep bow, her loyalty evident in her swift compliance. Without wasting a moment, she followed the woman warrior out of the chamber, ready to take charge of the situation and ensure Neng Yuan captured.

Having overcome the other three tribe warriors, Neng Yuan continued his escape, accelerating through the dense forest with Queni hot on his trail.

As he approached the nearby valley within distance, his pulse raced with anticipation, freedom seemingly within his grasp. Just as he was about to reach the open terrain, Xenata suddenly appeared, springing into his path and cutting off his route to safety.

"Young Master Li, you have violated our rules. Please go back with me now." She said, her voice calm but resolute.

"Xenata, I already told you. I have an important mission and must leave immediately. Please let me go." Neng Yuan pleaded, desperation clear in his voice.

"Over my dead body." Xenata replied, her expression hardening as she activated and wielded her red illuminating whip.

"Xenata, please do not force me to do what I am not willing." Neng Yuan warned her, his tone more determined now.

"Please do not force me to do what I am unwilling as well." She countered. "I suggest you return with me."

"If I refuse?" Neng Yuan asked, his eyes narrowing as he gauged her determination.

"Young Master Li, you can't get out of here alive." Xenata maintained her stand, her loyalty to the Old Highness and her tribe unwavering.

"In that case, don't blame me for being ruthless!" Neng Yuan declared. With those words, he reactivated and drew his blue blade, its glow illuminating the tension in the air, while Xenata counterattacked with her fiery whip.

Queni, equally prepared for the confrontation, readied herself behind him.

The duel resumed with Neng Yuan facing Living Oasis's two best warriors from both sides, the stakes higher than ever. He wielded his blade with precision, parrying blows from both opponents. The air crackled with energy as his blade clashed against Xenata's whip again and Queni's saber. Despite being outnumbered two to one, his movements were agile and focused, a testament to his training and determination.

Xenata moved with deadly grace, her whip slicing through the air with lethal intent. Each crack of her whip was aimed with precision, seeking to disarm or disable him. Queni, on the other hand, pressed her advantage with swift, calculated strikes, aiming to distract and wear him down.

His blade met each attack, but he was being forced into a defensive stance, with little opportunity to strike back effectively. The duel intensified as he managed to deflect a particularly vicious strike from Queni, causing her to stumble slightly. Seizing the moment, he swung his blade towards Xenata, but she was ready.

With a deft flick of her wrist, Xenata's whip coiled around his blade, yanking it out of his grasp and sending it spinning and falling over to the far side.

Unarmed and vulnerable, Neng Yuan leaped back, narrowly avoiding a follow-up strike from Queni. Breathing heavily, he knew he was now at a severe disadvantage without his weapon. He quickly scanned his surroundings, looking for anything that could be used as alternative or even an escape route.

The duo were relentless, closing in on him with the intent to subdue. Xenata's whip lashed out again, aiming for his legs this time, while her second-in-command circled around to cut off any retreat. He dodged and ducked, but the constant onslaught from both warriors was overwhelming.

Her whip finally found its mark, wrapping around his left leg with a snap. She pulled sharply, causing him to lose his balance and fall to one knee. Desperation flared in his eyes as he tried to free himself, but Queni was already upon him, her saber poised to strike if he resisted further. With a final, powerful tug, it tightened around both his legs, pulling him completely off his feet and sending him crashing to the ground. He struggled, but her grip was unyielding, and he was effectively immobilized.

Disarmed and defeated yet again, Neng Yuan looked up at his captors, knowing that any further resistance was futile.

Xenata and Queni stood over him, their expressions a mix of triumph and vigilance, ensuring he would not attempt another escape.

Dragging and pushing him forward, Xenata and her deputy Queni returned to the Living Oasis's main chamber hall.

The Old Highness sat on her ornate throne, a symbol of her authority, with the tribe warriors standing in disciplined rows on either side of the red carpet that stretched to her seat.

"Your Highness, as you instructed, we captured Li Neng Yuan," Xenata reported, her tone respectful but firm.

"Li Neng Yuan, why did you try to escape?" The Old Highness's voice was stern, her eyes fixed intently on him.

"Your Highness, I am a guest here." Neng Yuan replied, his voice steady. "As a guest, I have every right to leave."

Her expression hardened as she slammed her hand on the throne's armrest. "But haven't I told you that whoever enters Living Oasis, none will ever leave here alive?"

"I also told you that I am on an important mission," Neng Yuan maintained his stand, undeterred. "No matter how you try to stop me, I will keep trying."

"Oh? Are you confident of getting out?" The Old Highness asked as she rose from her throne and approached him. Her presence was imposing. "For your information, if our whereabouts are leaked, all of us here will be in danger."

"Your Highness, I assure you that I will keep your whereabouts a secret." Neng Yuan promised earnestly.

"You are not the only one saying that." She replied, her voice rising with each word. "Others have made the same promise and ended up betraying us. We cannot entrust our fate to you!"

Neng Yuan felt a surge of frustration. "If that is the case, you can silence me to ensure that your secret remains safe."

"You really have the guts to escape and now talk to me in this manner." The Old Highness said, her eyes narrowing at his defiance. "Because of that, I must act according to our rules here. I will now give you a choice."

"What choice?" He asked, his curiosity piqued despite the tension.

"If any of my girls here agree to marry you and start a family, I will not only spare your life but let you and her go with my blessings." She answered, holding his gaze with unwavering eyes.

She then turned to her tribe and asked, "Who among you wants to be his wife?"

At this moment, all members looked at one another, their eyes searching for someone willing to volunteer. The hall fell into a tense silence as they considered the Old Highness's proposal. After a while, Queni stepped forward, her eyes resolute and said: "Your Highness, I am willing."

The Old Highness raised an eyebrow in surprise. "Oh?" She then turned her gaze to Neng Yuan, her expression curious. "Since she is willing, what do you have to say?"

Neng Yuan looked away, his face tense. "I am sorry, I cannot accept."

Xenata, standing beside Queni, also stepped forward. "Your Highness, I am also willing."

Feeling the weight of the situation, Neng Yuan decided to clarify: "At this point, it is best for me to make my stand clear. Before coming here, I already have another woman in mind. So regarding your offer, Your Highness, and you both volunteering, I have to turn you down."

"How many times must I remind you?" Her voice sharpened. "Whatever happens outside here is none of our business."

"I am sorry, I cannot accept your condition, Your Highness," Neng Yuan remained resolute.

"Li Neng Yuan, by being here, you are as good as dead!" Her eyes flashed with anger.

"Whether I am alive or dead, I must stay faithful to my wife." Neng Yuan declared, his voice steady. He refused to be swayed by anyone, including the formidable Old Highness.

"Li Neng Yuan, I hope you can reconsider my offer as well as my two best warriors willing to serve me and you." The Old Highness tried once more.

"That won't be necessary," Neng Yuan shook his head firmly. "You can tell me what the other choice is now."

"Guards, serve him poisoned wine!" The Old Highness commanded as she sat in her throne.

"Yes, Your Highness." Another tribe member replied, bringing a tray with a golden goblet filled with a smoking purple liquid.

"Li Neng Yuan, this is your last chance to consider my offer," the Old Highness said, her tone final.

"You may offer to another man." With that said, Neng Yuan suddenly took the goblet and drank the liquid without hesitation.

Not long after swallowing, he felt immense agony in his head, chest, and stomach. The pain was so overwhelming that he began to lose his sight and his breath grew shallow. Moments later, he collapsed to the ground, his body writhing in pain.

"Your Highness!" Both Xenata and Queni cried out in unison, immediately kneeling before their superior, their faces stricken with concern.

The Old Highness's eyes blazed with determination. "I won't let him die so easily! Here is the antidote!" She threw down a small white potion bottle, the glass clinking as it landed before her most trusted subordinates.

"Thank you, Your Highness," Xenata and Queni expressed their gratitude, their voices filled with relief.

Without wasting a moment, Xenata picked up the bottle and carefully poured its contents into Neng Yuan's mouth, hoping to counteract the poison that was ravaging his body. Her deputy Queni supported his head, ensuring he swallowed every drop. They both watched anxiously, waiting for signs of recovery.

"He really has the guts to escape and even defy me openly!" The Old Highness fumed, her voice echoing through the chamber. Her eyes were fixed on Neng Yuan's prone form, her expression in anger and grudging admiration. "I want to see if his body and will to live are as strong as his guts!"

Neng Yuan opened his eyes to find himself back in the same bed he first woke up from unconsciousness.

The familiar surroundings brought a mix of relief and apprehension. But instead of Xenata, he saw Queni by his bedside, applying what seemed to be ointment on his right arm. Despite all that had happened, her expression remained calm, a stark contrast to the Old Highness's wrath he had endured earlier. Her steady hands worked methodically, and her presence, though unexpected, was oddly soothing.

Getting up, he said, "Oh, it's you." Though he remembered her face and knew her name, he chose not to address her directly, mindful of their recent fiery duel and the tension it had created between them.

"Besides being poisoned, you are also injured by me and my commander." Queni said, her tone devoid of emotion. "I am helping to treat your wounds."

"Not exactly." He responded, wincing slightly. Though he had indeed fought them, he could not recall being injured by any of them. All he remembered was being disarmed and his legs tied up again by Xenata's whip. "Also, haven't I already consumed poison? Why am I still alive?"

"You are lucky. Upon my commander's and my plea, the Highness agreed to give you the antidote." She replied without any expression, remaining indifferent to his earlier actions. "Now that you have seen me treating you, you should be grateful."

"Does that mean the Old Highness finally agrees to let me go?" he asked, feeling a surge of hope.

"You wish! The fact that she agreed to spare your life, you should be thankful. Like it or not, this will be your home for life." She responded firmly.

"But I really have an important mission. Queni, can you help me leave here?" He pleaded, desperation creeping into his voice.

"Actually, I wanted to, but you rejected me." She said, continuing to apply ointment on his other arm.

"How can that be?" He inquired, confused. "If you can help me leave, I will be grateful to you for life."

"How about being my husband for life?" She suggested with a sly smile. "And take my commander as well? No matter what, we saved you. Shouldn't you pay us back?"

Before he could respond, Xenata entered. Turning to her deputy, she ordered in a cold tone, "You can leave now."

Nodding her head, Queni took the ointment and left the chamber. Once alone, Xenata glared at him, her demeanour a complete contrast to the warmth she had shown when they first met.

"While my deputy is kind enough to treat you, I won't be anymore!" She said, eyeing him menacingly. "I saved you out of goodwill, but you chose to embarrass me and Old Highness. One more time you try to escape, I and my women will kill you instantly!"

"Xenata, I know you are a kind-hearted woman," Neng Yuan began, trying to make his stand clear once again. "Otherwise, you and your deputy would not have pleaded with the Old Highness to spare my life. But I really have an important mission, and besides, I already have another woman as my wife."

"So is she better than me?" She asked, narrowing her fiery gaze.

"Please do not misunderstand me. I am a man of my word. Once I swore to love her, I must keep my promise," Neng Yuan explained.

Instead of speaking, Xenata turned and left with frustration.

Two days later, while still imprisoned, Neng Yuan heard sirens blaring through the chambers.

Looking outside, he saw all the tribe members rushing back and forth in a state of panic. At that moment, he heard someone crying out his name: "Young Master Li!"

The chamber door swung open, revealing the purple-haired Queni, the second-in-command, with an anxious look on her face and rushing in.

"What's going on?" Neng Yuan asked, feeling alarmed.

"Something terrible has happened! Our location and base have been discovered by Shibeibu forces! We received incoming signals that six of their navy mechas are heading this way fast!" Queni relayed the bad news. "The Highness wants to see you immediately!"

"How can this happen?" Neng Yuan was shocked. Their location was supposed to be a secret, and he had been unsuccessful in his escape. Moreover, none of the tribe members had left the base. The only explanation was that whoever attacked him and his companions in the Chong An Mountains had somehow discovered their location.

"We need to get out of here fast!" Queni said urgently as she grabbed his hand and quickly led him to the main chamber hall.

Upon their arrival at the main hall, Neng Yuan saw the tribeswomen already assembled, standing in flanking formations just as when he first entered.

The Old Highness sat on her throne as usual. Unlike before, she was brooding, her hand touching her forehead in deep contemplation. Her deputy and best warrior, Xenata, stood beside her, looking on with a tense expression. Unlike her usual attire, Xenata was now clad in full dark and purple battle armor, mirroring the attire of all the assembled tribeswomen.

As well as Queni, who brought him in.

"Old Highness, as you instructed, I brought Young Master Li here," She said, clasping her hands together in respect instead of kneeling and bowing before the Highness.

From their looks and actions, Neng Yuan sensed that something dire was about to happen. The women were all on high alert, ready to counter whatever threat was approaching.

"Old Highness," Neng Yuan greeted her with concern, clasping his hands together in the same manner as Queni.

But the Old Highness remained deep in thought.

"Your Highness, Li Neng Yuan is here," Xenata informed her.

Slowly, the Old Highness raised her head and put away her hand, her expression still firm, reminiscent of their last meeting when she had interrogated

him and offered him the choice between marrying one of the tribeswomen or taking poisoned wine.

"Li Neng Yuan! Had I known this would happen, I should have killed you instead of allowing my women to save you!" She again slammed her hand on her armrest and rebuked him severely despite her sad expression. "For decades, our Living Oasis has been our secret hideout. Now, because of you, everything we painstakingly built is about to be destroyed!"

"I destroyed your Living Oasis?" Neng Yuan echoed, feeling alarmed at the accusation. "Old Highness, what exactly happened?"

"King Monarch Zengis and his Shibeibu armies know of your arrival and presence here. They sent six of their navy mechas on their way to destroy this place and bury us alive!" She replied.

"How can that be possible?" Neng Yuan was still unable to comprehend what she was holding him accountable for. "Old Highness, didn't you say that no one had ever left this place alive, especially men?"

"That is right, I did say that." The Old Highness confirmed before explaining further. "But knowing they could not find and attack us from air or ground, our enemies decided to do so via underwater by deploying their navy contingent."

"Really?" Neng Yuan could not believe what he was hearing. Even though his Dai Dynasty also had mecha units, they did not have a proper navy or marine counter-offensive against their Shibeibu counterparts.

"If not for your presence, we would not be discovered so easily," Xenata added. "We can think of no other reason for what is about to happen."

"Old Highness, if that is the case, I am willing to defend this place with your women, even if it means sacrificing myself to make amends." As he spoke, he knelt before her and everyone else.

"Is that so?" The Old Highness asked, her voice tinged with scepticism.

"Yes, since you and everyone here hold me responsible, I will defend this base with your warriors. Even if means forsaking my life." Neng Yuan reiterated, his resolve clear in his voice.

"Very good!" The Old Highness complimented as she rose to her feet and approached him. "You are indeed a loyal soldier. If the Dai Dynasty had more soldiers like you, then the Shibeibu Empire would not dare to invade and plunder our lands and people. We would also not be in this dire situation because of them."

"Old Highness, why are you concerned with Dai Dynasty?" Neng Yuan asked, still on his knees.

"Though I was one of late Emperor Dai Ci's five principal concubines, I can never forget what happened and the suffering of our people during and after the First Capital invasion." She said before beckoning him to stand on his feet and continuing.

"Neng Yuan, though I still hold you accountable for what is about to happen, I admire your courage and fighting spirit. As much as I appreciate your willingness to help defend and even sacrifice yourself, I no longer intend to keep you here. Instead, I want to help you leave this place before we shut ourselves and defend this place to death against our enemies."

"Old Highness, do you finally let me leave?" Neng Yuan asked, feeling a mix of delight and sadness for the fate that awaited Living Oasis.

The Old Highness nodded and said: "As things stand, it's clear that you must leave now."

She led them across the arch bridge, where Neng Yuan had practiced his swordplay just two days ago, the memory fresh in his mind.

They crossed over the flowing stream beneath, the sound of the water adding to the gravity of the moment. After a while, they stopped before what appeared to be a cave opening.

"Your Highness, may I ask where this leads to?" Neng Yuan inquired.

"This will lead you to a secret loading bay where your Dai Gladiator MK-I battle unit is parked. Beyond that, you will emerge from the seas and plains of Shangyesu," she answered. "This is also where we entered but shut off the entrance until now to prevent anyone pursuing us from creating havoc here."

"Thank you, Your Highness, for showing me the way. But I cannot leave you to fend for yourselves," Neng Yuan said.

"We will be discovered sooner or later. If we must die defending this place, so be it. But in your case, since you have a mission, I decided not to hold you back any longer." The Highness explained, her resolve evident.

"Thank you once again, Your Highness," Neng Yuan expressed his gratitude.

"However, I want you to bring along one of my warriors to help you in case you are intercepted and need assistance." The Old Highness added.

Turning to her best warrior, Xenata, she continued, "While I want her to defend this place with me and others, I decided to let her go with you. I hope that instead of fighting each other, you both can now join forces against whatever stands in your way. She is capable and intelligent. That is my final wish, and I hope you won't let me down."

"But Highness, having served you for so long, I can't bear to leave you and everyone here." Xenata pleaded, tears welling in her eyes for the first time despite her tough exterior and formidable fighting skills.

"In life, we all must face death sooner or later. I am now old and have lived and seen everything in life. If fate decrees here to be my resting place, I accept. Xenata, you better leave with Li Neng Yuan now while there is still time. In a few seconds, we will shut down this place and configure it into a battle base."

Turning to Neng Yuan once more, the Old Highness produced a book with a pristine white cover and handed it to him.

"This is my manual on Yin Yang Zhen Jin enlightenment techniques." She explained. "It contains a set of powerful healing and combat skills that I acquired from Goddess Eternity, as one of her chosen ones. I trust that you and Xenata will be able to study and master these techniques, allowing you to develop and grow in the same way I have over time."

Nodding, Xenata turned and joined Neng Yuan. Together, they bid everyone farewell and entered the cave, ready to face whatever lay ahead.

Utilized as the main attack units in Shibeibu naval and marine forces, Gerhydros were instrumental in carrying out operations that the air squadrons and infantry battalions could not.

These units were deployed into battle as the third wave, after aerial Gerswoops and ground-based Gerwalkers, and were capable of inflicting massive damage underwater. Their unique design and abilities made them crucial for naval and marine warfare, allowing them to excel in a wide range of offensive and defensive strategies.

Each unit's strength was deeply rooted in its aquatic design. It demonstrated remarkable proficiency in water-based settings, moving with incredible quickness and dexterity. This flexibility proved to be a major asset, enabling it to conduct underwater missions with ease, including high-velocity pursuits and intense battles on the ocean floor. Its expertise in these environments made it a force to be reckoned with, capable of performing intricate tactics that its counterparts were unable to match.

Moreover, their agility was significantly boosted by the installation of powerful marine propulsion systems. These thrusters allowed them to navigate effortlessly through inland waterways, oceans, and seas, and even granted them the capability to hover briefly above the water's surface. This adaptability proved to be a vital advantage in a wide range of combat situations, including submerged battles and clashes in proximity to coastal areas.

In firepower and weaponry, they packed a formidable punch. Their limbs were outfitted with torpedoes launchers and thermal cannons that could unleash devastating blasts, while also sporting heavy-duty shotguns and chain maces with ocean blue grips. These powerful weapons allowed the units to effortlessly swing and crush objects within their reach.

At present, six of them headed towards the Living Oasis.

As they approached the Living Oasis, the peaceful island configured into a strong defensive fortress with its mountains, valleys, and waterfalls.

Concealed mechanisms suddenly activated, resulting in the ground shaking as metal domes surfaced from below, surrounding important locations on the island. The previously peaceful scenery had transformed into a bustling hub of movement, with components adjusting and rearranging in readiness for the upcoming conflict.

Huge swaths of the landscape cracked open, exposing advanced armaments hidden beneath. Enormous cannons, able to swivel in any direction, rose up from the freshly formed metal foundations. Loaded with high-speed ammunition, they were engineered to detect and annihilate hostile mechs from distance. Strategically placed laser cannons, their barrels pulsing with electricity, stood at the ready, prepared to unleash catastrophic blasts of energy against the approaching Gerhydros forces.

Apart from the turret and beam guns, missile launchers emerged from concealed silos, their warheads armed and pointed upwards. These launchers came with an assortment of missiles, ranging from heat-seeking to armor-piercing types, tailored to address various dangers presented by the adversary mechs. The missile launchers zeroed in on their objectives, poised to unleash a continuous onslaught that would fill the skies and establish a strong defensive perimeter.

The women of the Living Oasis tribe, dressed in their complete dark combat gear and helmet masks, were a striking sight as they readied themselves for battle. Every fighter rode a black and purple armoured hoverbike, streamlined and lethal, that had been cleverly adapted to function in the air, on the ground, and even beneath the water. These hoverbikes, taken from their Shibeibu captors, showcased the tribeswomen's ingenuity and resolve to resist their oppressors.

With a threatening rumble, the tribeswomen throttled up their hoverbikes, poised to soar into the skies or plunge beneath the waves at a moment's warning. Suspended mere inches above the earth, the bikes quivered with pent-up energy, their riders stood at attention, their gazes sweeping the horizon for the first glimpse of the impending Gerhydros threat. The outcome of their defense hinged not only on the island's state-of-the-art defences, but also on the warriors' own prowess and unwavering courage.

As the confrontation approached, the women of the tribes stood ready, poised to confront the enemy head-on if the primary weapons of their island's base became ineffective or were taken out. The hoverbikes, known for their exceptional agility and strength, were the final barrier against the Gerhydros. The fighters were resolute in their determination, prepared to battle fiercely to safeguard their land and prevent the Living Oasis from being easily captured by the enemy.

The fight started with such intensity that it rattled the very core of the Living Oasis. Despite their thorough planning and defensive stronghold, the tribal women were ultimately overwhelmed by the relentless assault of the Shibeibu's advanced Gerhydro mechanized naval forces.

With unnerving precision, the enemy machines launched a relentless torrent of torpedoes before fluidly transforming into their humanoid Gerdiver modes. Upon doing so, they unleashed devastating crimson bolts from their heavy-duty shotguns, the deafening reports booming across the war-torn landscape like peals of thunder.

Despite putting up a strong resistance, they were unable to withstand the enemies' relentless attack. Most of the missiles were avoided by the Gerdivers' agility. As the enemy mechas approached the base, the air was filled with explosions and debris.

Undaunted and refusing to back down, the tribal warriors rapidly transformed their hoverbikes into formidable battle suits. The wheels morphed into position as powerful thrusters roared to life on their backs, propelling them into a fierce counterassault. With their high-powered energy cannons and missile batteries blazing, the women unleashed a breathtaking spectacle of united might and unyielding resistance. The air and water surrounding the Living Oasis erupted into a frenzy of artillery fire, as both sides clashed in a struggle for supremacy.

Despite their bravery, they were eventually trapped as Gerdivers swung their lethal maces that shook the entire base besides firing shotguns. As the explosions ravaged the area, the escape pods and evacuation routes were systematically destroyed, eliminating all possibilities of escape. Ultimately, the stronghold was left destroyed, and the formerly dignified female members of the tribes were now lifeless among the debris.

In the aftermath of the catastrophe, the trio - including Queni, their new leader - narrowly escaped with their lives. Their bike armor, partially damaged, still managed to protect them as they made a frantic attempt to break free, speeding towards the surface in their heavily damaged suits. But in a cruel twist of fate, two of the women were brutally cut down by bolts, their lifeless bodies tumbling into the dark abyss.

With a surge of adrenaline, Queni battled on, pouring all her remaining energy into the desperate bid to break through to the surface. Her heart raced with a potent blend of terror and resolve as she propelled herself upward, evading the hail of hostile projectiles, driven by the primal urge to stay alive.
