It was now the year 1498 of the Sea Circle Calendar. None of the faces before Wayne were familiar to him.
The only one who caught his attention was a young girl with dark green hair, she faintly reminded him of Makino.
The villagers looked at him with a mix of curiosity and caution. Before they could question him, Wayne flashed a bright smile and said cheerfully,
"To celebrate us moving into Foosha Village, everyone's invited to the Party Bar later, drinks are on me!"
After a few rounds of drinks, Wayne and Rouge were naturally accepted by the villagers, becoming new members of Foosha Village.
Back home, Wayne yawned and looked toward Rouge.
"Mrs. Rouge, how do you find this place? If you're not comfortable, "
"No," Rouge interrupted, a rare smile touching her lips as her gaze drifted to the spinning windmills and rolling green hills outside the window. "The scenery is beautiful here, and the people are kind. I like it."
Wayne nodded. "That's good. I'm relieved to hear that."
Sensing something in his tone, Rouge's expression grew wary. "Mr. Wayne… you're leaving, aren't you?"
"Yeah," he said casually. "I'm heading to Mary Geoise to kill a few Celestial Dragons for fun."
"What?!" Rouge gasped, her face turning pale. "Are you insane? That's where the gods live, you'll die!"
"Ha! Gods? Those Celestial Dragons are no different from us. They bleed and die all the same."
Wayne shrugged nonchalantly. "Besides, I have a reason I can't ignore."
"For a deal?"
He chuckled softly, not answering directly. "Something like that. Don't worry, I'll be back. After all, my payment's still with you! See ya."
Before his words even finished, Wayne shot skyward like a streak of black lightning, disappearing into the blue horizon.
....
Mary Geoise.
Three days had passed since Roger's execution. The Pirate King's final words had already spread across the seas. In just a few days, countless pirate crews had set sail, chasing after the so-called "One Piece" treasure he spoke of.
They claimed to seek dreams and freedom, but in truth, they wanted chaos, blood, and plunder.
Bang!
Saint Nusjuro, the bald elder wielding the First Generation Kitetsu, slammed his hand on the table.
"Damn that Roger! What the hell was he trying to do?"
"Hmph, isn't it obvious?" said Saint Saturn, the one with the flat black hat. "He wanted to throw the seas into chaos, to undermine our rule!"
Warcury, the elder with a mustache, waved his hand.
"Roger is dead. There's no point talking about him now. What matters is purging his remaining crew before they can spread the truth about history!"
Saint Nusjuro spoke grimly.
"I propose we increase naval funding and expand the fleet to suppress the wave of new pirates. At the same time, the CP agencies must hunt down Roger's remnants."
"Agreed."
"Agreed."
The Five Elders, supreme rulers of the World Government, knew Roger had already opened Pandora's Box, and there was no way to close it.
Late that night, Mary Geoise.
Wayne silently infiltrated the core of the Holy Land. No one noticed a thing, a sign of how lax their defenses were.
After all, for hundreds of years, no one had ever dared cause trouble in Mary Geoise. Even Rocks himself hadn't attacked it directly; he'd only targeted the Celestial Dragons' hunting ground, God Valley.
But that was fine by Wayne. After tonight, his name would be etched in history forever.
He had two goals.
His primary goal: to wreak havoc in Mary Geoise, slaughter over fifty Celestial Dragon scum.
His secondary goal: robbery. The Celestial Dragons had been plundering the world's wealth for centuries; their vaults overflowed with treasures. Wayne wasn't just after gold and jewels; he wanted valuable relics, famed blades, and Devil Fruits.
To prepare, he spent 500 points plus the 500 he earned from completing the Final Farewell mission to purchase a treasure-hunting artifact: the Treasure Map Engraver.
This device could scan a twenty-kilometer radius for high-value items, generate a live treasure map, and provide navigation to the nearest loot. A perfect tool for a thief.
Before acting, Wayne even started a live broadcast so that Shiki the Golden Lion, still imprisoned in Impel Down, could watch his performance.
He didn't need to stream it… But honestly, he just wanted to show off.
"Let's begin."
In Impel Down, the sleeping Golden Lion was awakened by the buzzing Den Den Mushi. When he saw the projection, he burst into laughter.
"Shihahahaha! So the kid's finally making his move?"
On screen, Wayne was infiltrating a Celestial Dragon's mansion in a non-core district. He knew well that even among Celestial Dragons, there were ranks; the highborn ones lived in the central area, possibly near figures like Shanks's father or even the Gorosei themselves. Going there would risk early exposure and ruin his plan.
So, Wayne's targets were the lower-tier Celestial Dragons, still rich beyond belief.
Inside one mansion, a fat Celestial Dragon stirred from his sleep, clutching the woman beside him.
"What's the meaning of this? You filthy insect! Who allowed you- "
Before he could finish, Wayne swung his hand. The lamp post by the bed shot forward, impaling the man through the skull.
"Annoying."
He then knocked out the terrified naked slave woman beside him, opened the drawer, and pulled out an ornate Devil Fruit, which he stored away.
Watching the broadcast, Shiki roared with laughter.
"Shihahaha! Beautiful kill! That's how you use the Float-Float Fruit! Wait, don't tell me that brat's planning to…"
On screen, Wayne reached the mansion's heavy alloy vault door.
Activating his Awakened Float-Float powers, the thick metal door began to twist and rise, leaving behind a massive hole.
Inside, dazzling light spilled out, mountains of gold, jeweled chalices, artworks, and rare minerals.
Without hesitation, Wayne swept his arm, and everything vanished, stored neatly into his personal storage space.
His plan was simple: take everything now, sort later.
After looting the mansion, he moved on, kill a Celestial Dragon, rob their vault, then repeat.
As the night went on, more and more Celestial Dragons fell by Wayne's hand, their treasures stripped bare.
It was pure entertainment for Shiki, though… it wasn't exactly the kind of "chaos at Mary Geoise" he had imagined.
Meanwhile, the Five Elders continued their discussion.
They cared little for the countless lives lost to pirates. To them, chaos was good, it made the World Government's allied nations more willing to pay their heavenly tribute.
