Chapter 11 - Chapter 11

Despite Pikachu's lack of actual combat experience, it possesses battle instincts honed to a razor's edge, so he can fight without Orion.

Harley, bat raised high, charges towards Pikachu with a crazed grin. "Time to play ball, mousey!" she shrieks, swinging the bat with all her might.

But Pikachu is too quick. With a burst of incredible speed, it darts to the side, the baseball bat whistling harmlessly through the air where it had been moments before. Harley stumbles from the force of her swing, nearly losing her balance.

Ivy, seeing Harley's missed strike, unleashes another barrage of vines, each one tipped with razor-sharp thorns. They lash out at Pikachu from all directions, seeking to ensnare it in a thorny prison.

Pikachu, however, is unfazed. It leaps into the air, its small body defying gravity as it twists and turns, evading each vine with impossible agility. It's a mesmerizing dance of electric energy and sheer speed, leaving Harley and Ivy dumbfounded.

"Did you see that, Red?" Harley exclaims, her jaw dropping. "That little furball is dodging vines in mid-air! How is that even possible?!"

Ivy stares in disbelief, her eyes wide with amazement. "I… I don't know," she admits, her voice barely above a whisper. "I've never seen anything like it."

Pikachu, reveling in their astonishment, continues to toy with the villains, its movements a blur of yellow fur and electric sparks. It's clear that this battle is child's play for the legendary Pokémon, a mere warm-up before the real challenge arrives.

Ivy, growing frustrated, decides to change tactics. She focuses her energy, attempting to unleash her pheromones, to sway Pikachu with her charms. A subtle, intoxicating aroma fills the air, promising pleasure and obedience to any who succumb to its allure.

But to Ivy's shock, Pikachu remains unaffected. Its eyes are still sharp, its focus unbroken. The pheromones, which have worked on countless humans, seem to have no effect on the electric Pokémon.

"What?" Ivy gasps, her voice laced with disbelief. "It's… not working? How is that possible?"

Pikachu, sensing Ivy's attempt at manipulation, responds with a playful taunt. "Pika-pi!" it chirps, its voice filled with amusement.

Harley, recovering from her initial shock, charges toward Pikachu again, swinging her bat with renewed determination. But Pikachu simply sighs, its expression conveying a sense of utter boredom.

With a flick of its tail, Pikachu unleashes a controlled electric shock, a precise burst of energy directed solely at Harley and Ivy. The air crackles with electricity as the shock washes over them, causing them to convulse and collapse to the ground.

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZT

Harley and Ivy lie motionless on the floor, their bodies twitching slightly from the lingering electricity. They are completely unconscious, defeated by the seemingly harmless electric mouse.

The sound of hurried footsteps echoes through the store as Orion, hearing the commotion, rushes to the front to investigate. He arrives to find a scene of utter chaos: overturned displays, scattered merchandise, and, most shockingly, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy lying unconscious on the floor.

"What in the world…?" Orion mutters, his eyes wide with surprise. He recognizes the two villains instantly, their faces plastered across every newspaper and television screen in Gotham.

"Harley Quinn? Poison Ivy?" he exclaims, his voice laced with disbelief. "What are they doing here?"

Pikachu, sensing Orion's arrival, hops onto the counter, its chest puffed out with pride. "Pika-chu!" it declares, eager to explain its heroic actions.

Orion turns to Pikachu, his expression a mixture of confusion and concern. "Pikachu, what happened here?" he asks, his voice gentle. "What did you do?"

Pikachu launches into a flurry of gestures and vocalizations, recounting the events that had transpired. It explains how Harley and Ivy had entered the store with malicious intentions, how they had threatened it, and how it had bravely defended Pokémon Home from their villainous plot.

Orion listens intently, piecing together the story from Pikachu's excited explanation. He realizes that the two villains had come to rob the store, but Pikachu had stopped them before they could cause any real harm.

"You stopped them?" Orion asks, his voice filled with admiration. "You took down Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy all by yourself?"

Pikachu nods proudly, its cheeks sparking with electricity. "Pika!" it affirms, its voice filled with determination.

Orion is impressed. He had always known that Pikachu was a powerful Pokémon, but he had never imagined that it could defeat two of Gotham's most notorious villains with such ease.

Now, Orion faces a dilemma. He could call the police, hand over Harley and Ivy, and let the authorities deal with them. It's the responsible thing to do, the right thing to do.

But a mischievous thought flickers in his mind. Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy are not just villains; they are celebrities, icons of chaos and rebellion. They are known and beloved for their own unique reasons.

Could they be potential customers?

Orion wonders, his mind racing. He imagines the publicity, the attention, the sheer volume of business that could come from having Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy as regular patrons of Pokémon Home.

He glances at the two unconscious villains, their faces relaxed and peaceful despite their earlier intentions. They look almost… harmless.

The decision weighs heavily on his mind. He knows that letting them go could be risky, that they could cause more trouble in the future. But the potential rewards are too tempting to ignore.

"What to do, what to do…" Orion mutters, stroking his chin thoughtfully.

In the end, Orion makes a decision, a compromise between responsibility and opportunity. He can't simply let them go, not after what they tried to do. But he can't bring himself to call the police, not yet.

"I think I have a temporary solution," Orion declares, his voice firm. "I'll tie them up."

He turns to Pikachu, his expression serious. "Pikachu, watch over them. Make sure they don't cause any more trouble."

Pikachu nods obediently, its eyes fixed on the two unconscious villains.

Orion heads to the back of the store, rummaging through the storage room until he finds a sturdy coil of rope. He returns to the front, his expression determined.

With practiced efficiency, Orion kneels beside Harley and Ivy, carefully tying their hands and feet together. He makes sure the knots are secure, but not too tight, ensuring that they won't be able to escape easily but won't be harmed either.

Once they are securely bound, Orion stands back, surveying his handiwork. Harley and Ivy are now effectively neutralized, unable to cause any more trouble, at least for the time being.

"Well, that should keep them out of mischief," Orion says, a wry smile gracing his lips.

He glances at Pikachu, who is still vigilantly guarding the villains.

"Now, Pikachu," Orion says, his voice gentle. "Let's wait for them to wake up. And then, we'll have a little chat."

Orion adjusts his glasses and then sighs. He knows that this is only a temporary solution, a Band-Aid on a much larger problem. But for now, it's the best he can do.

He can only hope that Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy are willing to listen, to learn, and to embrace the wonders of Pokémon Home. If not, he might have to call the authorities after all.
