Since no one wanted to relent, Vincent decided to switch things up.
Keeping his head on his mother's shoulders, he said, "Mom, I'm afraid you won't agree to what I want. In that case, how about this? I'll tell you everything and in return, when we are dealing with this situation, you'll tell me every step you're taking and work with me. You'll also take my opinion into consideration and if I strongly disagree with something, you will not do it. Do we have a deal?"
"Deal." Vivienne did not even think and agreed readily. How could she not? This was the first time he asked her something so seriously. She had to fulfil his request.
Also, she was afraid that if she disagreed now, he would not tell her anything and walk away. There was a high possibility of it happening.
Vincent was surprised when he heard it and broke the hug.
"Deal? Really?"
Vivienne rolled her eyes and pinched his nose. "What? Do you think mommy is unreasonable?"
Vincent didn't have an answer to that. Though, he knew what his next step was.
"I'll tell you everything you need to know. But before that, there is something that needs to be done." Vincent said in all seriousness.
"What is it now, my dear?" Vivienne sighed.
"I…" Vincent looked away, hiding his expression. "…I want you to take your gown off and get under the blanket."
[…]
There was silence for a good few seconds.
"Is it necessary?" Vivienne asked.
Vincent turned to look at her and said with a completely straight face, "Trust me, it is absolutely necessary."
"I thought it would be something unreasonable again. I'm glad it isn't." Vivienne heaved a sigh of relief and removed her gown and went under the blanket.
Vincent didn't understand what she just said. Once he saw her take off her gown, he fully lost his focus.
It was a pity that everything was dark and he could barely make out her features.
For maximum effectiveness, Vincent took off his clothes too and got into bed. This was a very important step, one shouldn't mistake it for him being a pervert.
Vincent made Vivienne turn the other way and hugged her from behind. The skin to skin contact immediately made him liven up
A woman's body was so soft and smooth, he couldn't get enough of it.
However, now wasn't the time to indulge in these.
Vincent tightly embraced Vivienne and asked, "No matter what I say, you will not act rashly right now and get out of this bed. If you do, I will leave the family and never show you my face again."
Vivienne frowned but nodded nevertheless. She really wanted to know the problem and was ready to accept whatever he said.
Vincent took a deep breath and asked, "Mom, I want you to tell me honestly, how's your relationship with father?"
"Vinny, can we get to the main topic?" Vivienne knitted her brows and said, annoyed.
"The topic has started. I am asking you questions so I can state everything clearly." Vincent said innocently.
Vivienne eased her brows and replied, "Your father is just a shell. He married me for his own selfish reasons and I married him for mine. It's purely transactional."
"That means the two of you aren't close?" Vincent scooted closer and felt her perky behind.
"Yes. He is also impotent so there was never a need to get close either." Vivienne dropped another hard fact.
When Vincent thought about it, he suddenly felt, 'Does this mean that if he wasn't impotent, they would get close? What the fuck… the audacity of that lil shit…'
Vincent made up imaginary scenarios which had zero possibility of happening in his head, then got pissed for the same.
His jealousy peaked and he couldn't help but tighten his hold on Vivienne, as if somebody would snatch her from him.
"Alright. Good to know. Now then, what do you know of his background?"
"He comes from a wealthy merchant family in the Sun Kingdom and the house got paid quite a lot once he entered it."
Vincent was surprised by this fact. The roots of the church were quite deep to give such rich identities to even ordinary priests.
"I see. It seems that this is all you know." Vincent commented.
"What do you mean?" Vivienne slightly turned her head to look at Vincent and asked.
Vincent's shaft was quite lively by now. He had to put it to rest and he did so by sliding it between the big meat buns.
Vivienne felt nothing odd with this. Her focus lay completely on Vincent's words.
Vincent felt warm down there. He was stimulated but now wasn't the time for anything naughty.
He continued, "James is a priest and his identity as the son of a wealthy family is secondary. He hid it very well but he's been trying to preach religious beliefs to the people of D'Arc Barony for a long while."
"Huh? How is that possible?" Vivienne tried to turn around to look at Vincent but got held in place and couldn't move.
"That is the truth and you have to believe me for now, mom." Vincent answered.
Vivienne shook her head. "It's hard to accept because I've been watching James everyday. He goes to a local tavern to drink with his friends or to hunt or wanders around the government buildings to do menial tasks."
"Yeah, that's not right. He's fooling you quite well. We'll look into it later. Anyway, the next thing I want to tell you is regarding Vanessa."
Vincent didn't give her room to argue and moved onto the next topic. This one was going to be very sensitive and he wasn't sure if he could restrain Vivienne in place after finishing.
Vincent decided to switch positions. He made her lie on her back and got on top of her, pressing his body's weight and pinning her down.
Now that he was on top, his hard shaft rubbed against a velvety soft place.
Vivienne was quite confused by the shenanigans and wondered why her son was doing all of this instead of answering her straight.
Vincent pinned Vivienne's arms at her sides and said, "Do you remember the witch I talked about a while ago? That's no one else but Vanessa."
"Huh?" Vivienne's brows were knit and her expression was turning sour.
"Vinny, if you are making jokes then it's really not funny."
Vincent shook his head. "It is the truth. She is a witch. And now think, think what will happen if James finds out about her. It wouldn't be a problem if he was from a merchant family, however, what if, just what if I'm right and everything is as I'm saying?"
Vivienne's body was heating up from anger. If it wasn't for Vincent's restraint, she would've barged into James's room and tortured him until he confessed everything.
As for Vanessa being a witch, she only had to ask. She was sure her daughter wouldn't lie.
"Vinny, what if what you said is wrong?" Vivienne wouldn't doubt her children usually, but the matter this time was different and quite sensitive.
"You can punish me in any way you want if that's the case." Vincent said seriously.
Vivienne closed her eyes and took a deep breath, trying to process everything.
She opened her eyes after a minute and said, "You can get off now. I understand why you were trying to do all of this."
Vincent raised his eyebrow and answered flatly, "No."
