Waiting for some time, the oder man silently whispered.
"Do you hear that?"
The young boy closed his eyes and focused on his ears. Finally hearing something, the boy nodded his head.
He heard several steps and voices, people. They waited for the supply, like the duo, lurking around on the roof.
After around the man stood up, pushing his trained body up and standing close to the edge of the roof.
Cane immediately noticed the man's action and followed suit.
"There, it is coming," the man exclaimed calmly, pointing on the silent arriving vehicle.
Cane looked ahead squinting his eyes together, finally seeing the truck which was armed in armour, not heavily armoured like the one appearing for the wolfs.
"How do we keep up with the truck, I thought they go at speeds humans can't achieve?" the boy asked his mentor.
"They use chaos crystals as fuel. They drive slow, to safe energy and not run over somebody."
Cane nodded to this answer, they now needed to follow the truck, because the distribution of the rations were not scheduled.
As the mentor and student duo, began to follow the truck, it didn't take long for the first box to drop.
Hawk said that they would try to take the rations of a later drop, explaining that most of the other people would jump to the next best opportunity.
After three hours, Cane grew restless, how much longer would they have to wait until they make their next move, it has been over an hour since the talked.
"Calm down, a hunter nows when to strike and I can tell you from experience the time will soon come," calmly the man explaining his student.
Cane was a bit surprised by his mentor's tone, he only sounded like that if he got serious.
And the man told the truth. After ten minutes another box dropped, as soon as the box left the vehicle, Hawk signalled the boy to rush towards the drop.
Cane ran as fast as he could and Hawk followed him.
Opening the box, both man grabbed everything they could filling their backpacks to the brim.
Cane's bag looked like it would burst any second now.
Having gathered everything they could, both of them put their backpacks back on and made their way back.
'Well that was easy...' before finishing his thoughts, his minor spoke again.
"Get ready."
Meanwhile half a dozen men appeared in front of them.
"Look what we got here," the one in the front said.
Cane assumed that the man was the leader, because he looked generally bigger than the other five guys and he was wearing better clothes.
"I think you have something that belongs to us. So the only right thing is for you to give it back," the man smirked raising a long wooded baseball bat pointing at Hawk.
Ignoring the man, Hawk looked at Cane:"Watch closely, you need to see real combat"
Hawk took his back off and gave it to his student. He took a couple of steps forward.
Hawk stood between his student and the goons. After a few second the man smirked a little and raised his middle finger, provoking the goons.
The leader rushed in first, swinging his bat. Instead of hitting hawk, the man dodged under the swing, took a step closer and land a right hook on the leader's jaw.
The leader fell to the ground. Hawk picked the baseball bat up and looked at the other goons, but they ran away.
A single word escaped the mans mouth.
"Losers."
Cane had a shock expression written all over his young face. Walking closer to his teacher, the boy asked a question lingering in his mind.
"How did you do that?"
"Do what, knock him out? That was quite easy, he didn't have his guard up and I hit him on hid jaw. That punch of mine would usually knock normal people out," the man answered.
"No, not the punch, you already taught me that. Why did they ran away from you"
"Oh that, they probably felt fear after I knocked their gang leader out with a single punch...
Maybe they understood that they don't have any chance winning against me and felt my presence.
If you were to grew any taller in the future, you would also be able to scare them off, but I doubt that," the man said teasing the boy at the end.
Then the man continued.
"Cane never forget, there is a difference between people who have real fights and people who pick on the weak.
If you continue at your current pace you could also handle the man in a month. This difference widens, if you survived battles that almost cost you your live."
Closing his mouth the man looked to be in deep thought, after a short few seconds, he took his backpack from Cane's hands and told him to wear the blindfold.
As they walked back the training continued, now the first training was the rock training and as soon as more plants began to show, the other training began.
At the end of the end of the training, the boy heard a sound something the same thought he heard while training earlier.
He suddenly felt his senses getting slightly sharper and the mistakes he made reduced, even his teacher was surprised.
After one and a half hours, they arrived at the man's home.
Hawk told him that the next time wouldn't be so easy.
They both went inside and Cane gave his bag to hawk and went into his own room.
He locked the door, not because he wanted to hide anything, he just wanted to be safe, the last time someone marched inside his room he got beat up.
Before he could go to sleep he wanted to check something, from where was the sound coming from he heard earlier, Cane had a theory so he opened his status proving his theory correct.
