"Oh Goddess, I am humbled" the Shamen whispered. The group watched in awe as silver ribbons danced from the fire and wrapped around each of their wrists. A gentle breeze flowed around them and the smell of roses filled the air.
A soft voice that Stacy recognized as Mother Rhiannon spoke gently " I bless the blood bond , family is the foundation of the future. Thank you for accepting my blessed child into your hearts."
It was then all of them felt a slight burning on the underside of their wrists. Their eyes widened as they watched a silver Celtic knot in the shape of a crescent moon appear on their wrists. They had most definitely been blessed.
As the shock of events settled on the new family bond, Isaac and Charlie started grinning and said in unison "NO FUCKING WAY!" Hunter was still in shock and Dixie had the biggest smile on her face. As a Stacy made eye contact with Colt, the love, adoration, and pride all cycled in his eyes.
Shortly after the ceremony, everyone decided that since tomorrow was going to be a long day that it would be best if they called it the night. Stacy and Colt retreated their suite and immediately crashed on the bed. After a moment Colt pulled Stacy in close.
The smell of verbana and lime filled is nostrils as he moved closer to nuzzle his mark. Her comforting scent was something that he could never get enough of. Stacy let out a low moan of pleasure as she lifted her leg wrap around his waist. The smell of her arousal surprised Colt and he pulled back and looked at her.
Stacy lustfully gazed at Colt and said " Baby please, please don't stop" Colt grinned mischievously "It's sexy when you beg love". His mark must be extra sensitive because it was still healing, he didn't even realize it!
Colt dove back into her neck, nuzzling his mark, oh he was gonna make her beg alright. He took his time nuzzling and let his hot breath graze over her skin " Please" Stacy gasped into his ear. He obligingly started kissing her neck, letting his tongue caress his mark and he felt her starting to writhe as his let his hand explore her body. "Please"
The night of lovemaking oddly did not tire them or leave them exhausted. They felt rejuvenated as if they returned from a long vacation. As the sun rose the pair laid wrapped in each other's love discussing the events of the last week.
"Babe, that night in the field, what made you choose me? You had never met a werewolf before."
Stacy furrowed her brow "Honesty Colt, I just don't know how to explain it. I didn't even want to be at that party. I just went to shut up mo- I mean Lenora. I was actually looking around planning exit routes when the scent of coconuts surrounded me. "Delectable" Colt finished her for her. Recalling their first encounter.
Stacy blushed "I was cruel to you, you didn't know about the bullying and I.." Colt immediately kissed her so she couldn't finish her thought.
Breathlessly she pulled away smiling at him " But in the field Colt, Devany really calmed me down, I thought I was going crazy at first, but then it just felt right, you know?"
"Well, Dev told me to move toward you so that's what I did. But Colt, I just now remembered something! The sound of those beautiful bells! Was I imagining those?"
Colt smiled "Oh you heard bells babe! Those bells are ancient with a story that is waaaay too long to tell but those bells are our packs first line of defense against the Unseelie." Colt took a deep breath." Love, there is so much to our world.I really don't want to overwhelm you. To keep it simple, those are enchanted bells that when used, it can cause harm to the most evil of the fae."
"Oh" Stacy smiled at Colt " They sounded amazing" she kissed Colt. "Let's talk while we get ready." Stacy pulled him up out of the bed and wrapped her arms around his neck."You know what's crazy about all this? After I graduated, actually, before I graduated, I never looked at anyone in a boyfriend type of way. I didn't know if I had a type."
Colt laughed "If someone were to ask you now what's your type, what would you say?" She got very serious and said "Well I think my type is tall, sexy raven black hair, eyes so blue like the ocean I could swim in them forever, tattoos and don't make me get started on piercings" she gently kissed his lip ring.
"Baaaabe" he growled into her ear. "If you keep going we are gonna be late. Then we will have to deal with Dixie and I make it a point to never deal with Dixie."
By the time Stacy and Colt made it to the den Dixie had just finished pouring coffee and handed the cup to Stacy, she smiled and kissed Dixie's cheek "Morning momma". Dixie's eyes twinkled with happiness. Colt opened his arms to give Dixie a hug but she just looked at him and said "Don't start your shit Alpha, you know where the coffee pot is."
"Wooow, what did I do?!" Colt said defensively. Dixie winked at Stacy "Are you not my future son in law?"
"Well, yeah but-"
"Is it not my job as mother to vet all potential suitors for my daughter?"
"Yes, ma'am , but-"
Dixie burst out laughing "I was just see how far I could go until you called me ma'am!"
Stacy's new brothers were laughing hysterically at their Alpha's discomfort knowing Dixie was planning on giving Colt a hard time. Stacy smiled Colt and his humiliation melted away.
"All right, all right you bunch of assholes. Let's get this meeting started" said as he took a seat gently putting Stacy in his lap. "Who wants to get started?" Stacy put down her coffee and said "May I start? I have a few ideas." Colt nodded and took a deep breath.
"So I've been thinking. Colt actually said something that resonated with me. You guys just jump in if you think I'm wrong." She nervously looked around the room " After we discovered about the previous Alpha and Luna's crimes we learned that the packs infrastructure had basically been made obsolete. As more issues arise I realized that this is just too much for much for our family"
She raised her hands to point out that she wasn't done. " I propose that before the Elders brunch, we lay it all out for them, evidence and everything. We will present the difficult times ahead and ask for their help. If they don't want to help, well no one is keeping them hostage, they are free to leave."
" Let's make them in charge of certain departments and give them choices in the roles that they want to take. We can keep classified information classified, however we can emphasize that documents and items missing from the Treasury so the extent of the crimes I really unknown and dire. That my family will plant seeds in the Whisps minds and they will think of a way to please the new Alpha and Luna. Our hands will be clean, no lies, no manipulation just need to know facts that we have thrown out into the wind to see where they land."
Her family looked at her with mouths hanging open and Colt squeezed her waist and used the mind link to say "Well Done!"
"Colt, our pack doesn't deserve her." Isaac spoke in a low voice.
Exasperated Stacy said "Oh, for fucks sake! All I did was think about the problem, I didn't do much, anyone could of thought about a solution! I'm not a genius!"
Hunter shook his head. " Stacy don't you understand? We couldn't think of a way of remaining unscathed, but we were only thinking about keeping everything hidden and classified leaving the elders and pack members safe from outside factors. Being transparent never crossed our minds."
" But it makes sense! Why should we keep deflecting and keep things classified when we can easily just be transparent. Most everyone will be eager to help rebuild once they find out the extent of the crimes. Stacy your idea is brilliant because it takes care of so many layers of our issues."
Dixie spoke up "I've instructed Leah to organize the new gym area with seats, beverages and a projector. Sean is preparing a quick presentation of all the evidence. I invited members of The Guard to support the evidence."
Stacy looked at Colt and asked " Since I'm the victim who exposed everything may I be the first to speak?"
