Chapter 53 - Development

Although Zeke used the Emperor's statue to placate the Dominion citizens on his colony, it was clear that the citizens were not buying it.

The Emperor they worshipped daily before was never this powerful.

Instead, the current Emperor was the true one, so when these people worshipped the Emperor's statue, they silently thought of Zeke.

As a result, Zeke would hear annoying prayers every morning, which made him feel somewhat agitated.

However, fortunately, psionics were still somewhat interesting, and he eventually activated a do-not-disturb mode to avoid being bothered by the prayers of his followers.

At the same time, to give his citizens' prayers a bit of effect, Zeke also channeled all these matters to the Emperor through another channel.

He had already paid his compensation, so he couldn't possibly go to work himself, could he?

Let the Emperor work for him for a while.

Anyway, the Emperor could only sit on the golden throne every day with nothing to do, so it would be perfect for him to work for Zeke.

As long as the Emperor worked for him, Zeke would reluctantly seal the Warp energy for the Emperor periodically, allowing him to stand up and relax—what a wonderful deal.

But sitting on the golden throne for the Emperor was out of the question; he still had to sit on it himself.

Aside from having to listen to the daily prayers of his devout Dominion citizens, Zeke was, to be honest, quite satisfied with this period of his life.

Six months had passed since he arrived and began developing this planet, and it was now close to becoming a Gaia planet.

More importantly, with people working crazy overtime, to the point where they had to be physically dragged away, Zeke gained a large influx of resources.

Although his basic technology had just been laid out and he couldn't yet mass-produce all the things he needed, and his resources had to be used to build stellar fortresses and prepare to build more starships, limiting what could be invested in the ground forces.

Even under these circumstances, Zeke still possessed an entire legion of ordinary Human Attack Force, not counting the Dominion Fleet!

Although they were not equipped with power armour made with stellaris technology, they wore ceramite power armour that only Astartes could wear.

As for why they weren't wearing armor made by stellaris, it was mainly because their bodies were too weak.

Although Zeke had prepared all sorts of basic safeguards for them, Gene Modification had not yet directly begun for them, and this was for a full 8 billion people!

More importantly, these people were increasing daily. Although he also had a large amount of resources, these resources were all allocated for other purposes, and he didn't have enough to perform Gene Modification on them.

Before the 13th Black Crusade arrived, Zeke did not have time to put these people through the first round of Gene Modification.

What he could do now was strengthen everyone in the Human Attack Force he had just formed to the level of an average Astartes.

As for enabling a nationwide awakening and giving them the abilities of Dominion citizens, even if not late-stage Dominion citizens, just getting them to the physical quality of a 2350 Dominion citizen was more than he could afford right now.

After all, when he did it in the game, his subordinates already had 10 colonies, a complete technological system at all levels, and various buildings.

Unlike now, he only had one planet, and apart from some civilian facilities and production buildings, there was nothing else on it.

He needed time to farm. This time might not be too long, but he definitely needed time to farm.

If he could be allowed to farm peacefully, then in a maximum of 100 years, even if the Terran Dominion hadn't migrated over and the little grays hadn't arrived, he would have the ability to sweep clean the entire Warhammer world as he knew it.

But that was 100 years. He had only developed for 6 months, so there was still a long way to go.

Of course, while the future was promising, the present was not too bad either.

Although the Human Attack Force and the Imperium of Man's Astra Militarum were similar in Zeke's view, there was a fundamental difference.

Unlike the Imperium of Man's various peculiar legions, his Human Attack Force was built according to a certain standard and was completely different from the Imperium of Man.

To ensure combat capability, each legion of the Human Attack Force he was currently building had 1 million soldiers.

Everyone was equipped with master-crafted ceramite power armour, bolter, and chainsword. In addition, they were also equipped with some weapons that could be used in stellaris, such as Lance guns.

All the tanks, artillery, and other weapons required for an entire legion were also available.

To adapt to local combat needs, each Astra Militarum legion was equipped with 200 titan units, equivalent to emperor-class titan.

Originally, Zeke intended to build mechanical war bodies, but mechanical war bodies consumed too much alloy, and he didn't have the money.

So, he could only choose to build titan units.

Compared to those expensive giant war bodies, titan units were significantly cheaper.

The Imperium of Man's titan were not only durable but also inexpensive. Simply removing their churches made them a very cheap unit.

Compared to titan units, they did not consume too much of Zeke's precious alloy production capacity, as alloy was indeed a valuable resource for him now.

Everything needed it.

More importantly, now that he was no longer in the game, stellaris units wanting to enter space could not simply get transport ships as in the game.

The game's settings were just game settings, but when materialized in reality, it was different. Transport ships for ground units still needed to be built with money.

As a result, Zeke's shipyards were running at full capacity, with large quantities of alloy being built into transport ships, which could then transport his 1 million Astra Militarum.

In 6 months, he had produced 1 million Astartes Astra Militarum troops and 20 transport ships to carry them, as well as 1 destroyer and 8 frigates to escort them.

At the same time, he also had to balance the development of the colony. Zeke had reached his limit.

As there was not much time left for him to continue developing, the Black Crusade was imminent, and as an heir of a knight house, Zeke would inevitably have to follow his family's forces to Cadia.

Regardless of whether he was on equal footing with the Emperor in the Warp, or whether there was equality between him and the Emperor, he still had to put on a show in front of his family to reduce a lot of trouble.

Moreover, the hatred with chaos forces was not so easily ended.

Those foolish chaos forces dared to ambush him, and Zeke had remembered this incident until now.

As long as he could cause trouble for the chaos forces, Zeke was willing to do it.

Besides the newly built warships patrolling and protecting this star system, the remaining most powerful Terran Dominion Fleet that was originally sent over would accompany him, leading this ground force to Cadia to participate in the 13th Black Crusade.

The ground forces consisted of 1.08 million Astartes, 500 Emperor's Custodes (similar to the Imperium of Man's), and 10,000 (which was the Ten Thousand Strong Custodes Regiment from the Dominion supporting Zeke) according to the Warhammer world's evaluation standards!

The naval forces consisted of:

4 battleships, 8 strike cruisers, 16 destroyers, and 32 frigates.

At this point, Zeke had already regarded the Imperium of Man as his own.

Undoubtedly, after the Dominion arrived, the Imperium of Man would inevitably have to be brought under the Dominion's jurisdiction.

Therefore, the invasion by the chaos forces was undoubtedly a provocation and trampling of his prestige.

Since he already had a combat force that could be considered powerful even in the Warhammer world, why not go and fight them?

It would also teach them a lesson.

Of course, when Zeke left, the colony would continue to develop.

Just as when he first played stellaris, no matter how far away he was, he could continue to micromanage the colony's development.

Since he didn't need to worry about development, it was time to settle scores with Abbadon. Zeke had always remembered how that guy caused him great trouble when he was fighting the orks.
