Chapter 57 - Promise

Although Grisha and Anne couldn't effectively and accurately test the power of these gigantic battle titans within the Royal Court, it didn't stop them from constantly playing with these colossal battle titans in their hands, just like children who had just received their beloved toys.

Under their control, the star-class battle titans performed various movements. If not for the Dominion's excellent anti-gravity system, any movement made by such massive machinery would cause the earth to shake.

To be honest, the combat power of these two gigantic battle titans was quite formidable. If they were to engage in space combat, they would even be capable of tearing apart the Empire's cruisers with their bare hands.

Using weapons, however, was another matter entirely.

If the phase disintegration cannons and honeycomb missiles attacked simultaneously, combined with the powerful kinetic energy of the titans, they would potentially be able to destroy an Imperial cruiser with a single strike.

Even the Empire's battleships would have to be cautious when facing titans of this size.

These two gigantic battle titans would become truly indestructible fortresses and unstoppable Gods of War on the battlefield.

After toying with the two gigantic battle titans for a bit longer, Grisha and Anne reluctantly left their titans.

After they left, the titans could still carry out combat missions. After all, they were equipped with sentient AIs inside, so even without pilots, they could still coordinate in combat with a pilot.

Nuclear power armour was even better compared to the pilot gear.

The pilot gear was also equipped with a dark energy shield generator to protect the pilot, and the pilot also wielded a small Lance rifle.

Although its combat power was a bit lower, shooting down an armoured enemy with one shot was absolutely no problem; even greater daemon couldn't withstand a few shots.

Of course, this referred to the larger greater daemon. If it were the smaller greater daemon, it would still be a one-shot kill.

At the same time, they were still equipped with phase swords at their waists.

They remained incomparably sharp.

The saying still held true: if it were left on a planetary surface without its phase device deactivated, it could directly bore through the entire planet on its own.

Even after they dismounted from the titans, Grisha and Anne's eyes were still filled with shock. They had never imagined that their son would bring them such powerful mechanical equipment.

Zeke's father was Grisha, and his mother was Anne Yaeger. He would not change that.

Such powerful titans could never have been built by the Adeptus Mechanicus. Grisha, after all, was the high king of a knight house; he possessed sufficient knowledge.

Those 'oil-lads' wouldn't just take several years to build such powerful Titans; they would even take several years to build an emperor-class titan.

There was only one possibility for such a powerful creation: it belonged to the Dominion, and only that Golden Age, the pinnacle era of humanity, could have produced such powerful creations.

Even in the Dominion era, such titans would be considered formidable.

Although they didn't know what their son had acquired, after receiving this gift, Grisha and Anne were completely relieved about Zeke's safety.

They no longer had to worry about any problems befalling their son. They believed that with such immense power, even being able to give them two titans, Zeke must possess enough strength to protect himself.

Even some family secrets could be revealed to Zeke, but everything would have to wait until the war was over.

The two said nothing, but stepped forward and embraced Zeke between them.

The embrace didn't last too long.

Grisha gently patted his son's shoulder. As the high king of a knight house, he still needed to preside over the pre-campaign rituals and command duties.

"Ezekiel, this... is too precious," Grisha whispered, his gaze still involuntarily glancing at the two star-class battle titans standing silently.

Zeke smiled, took out two small metallic discs from his Pregnant and handed them to his parents. The surface of the discs glowed with a faint blue energy pattern, cool and smooth to the touch, as if holding a miniature star.

"Dad, Mom, these are portable storage devices for the titans," he explained. "Just press this button—"

He pressed it gently, and the rune in the center of the disc suddenly lit up. The next second, the star-class battle titan, which had been standing in the Royal Court, instantly collapsed into a blue light, absorbed into the disc. The entire Royal Court immediately became much emptier, as if the two behemoths from just now were merely an illusion.

Anne Yaeger gasped, her fingers trembling slightly as she took the disc: "This... how is this possible? A 1000-meter-tall titan, how can it be compressed into such a small device?"

"Dark energy folding technology," Zeke shrugged. "Simply put, the titan isn't actually 'shrinking', but being transferred into an independent Warp dimension. You can summon it back whenever you need it."

Grisha gripped the disc, feeling the faint energy pulsation contained within, his heart filled with shock.

This technology was completely beyond the Empire's understanding, and even the wildest fantasies of the Adeptus Mechanicus wouldn't dare to hope for such a miracle to be achieved.

"Ezekiel, are you sure this thing... won't have any problems?" Grisha asked cautiously.

It wasn't for any other reason; it was mainly because those two titans were simply too precious. He was afraid that storing the titans in such a device would lead to loss or damage.

If the items were lost, they couldn't guarantee whether their son could replenish them with new ones, as they were simply too precious.

"No problem, Father. These two items are originally a matching set. You can use them freely, but when you do, be sure not to let anyone know. Just let people think the AI inside the titan is a machine spirit, after all, the Empire's attitude towards AI..."

Zeke didn't finish his sentence, but his father naturally understood what his son meant. He reached out and took the spatial storage device his son handed him.

These two enormous titans were simply too precious!

Out of trust in their son, they didn't ask what Zeke had prepared for himself. After all, their son had always been someone they could rely on, and they believed he must also have something to protect himself.

Since his son gave him this item, he would accept it, but a father's thoughts were certainly not as delicate as a mother's.

Anne Yaeger gently caressed the disc, a complex light flickering in her eyes. She suddenly looked up and earnestly gazed at her son: "Ezekiel, promise mom, no matter what you're doing... you must be careful."

Zeke paused, then revealed a warm smile: "Mom, don't worry. I'm much safer now than you imagine."

Grisha took a deep breath and solemnly fastened the disc to his combat belt at his waist.

As the high king of a knight house, he knew better than anyone what these two titans meant—they were not just weapons, but capable of changing the tide of battle!

With titans of this caliber joining the 13th Black Crusade, for chaos to hope for victory would simply be a pipe dream.
