Chapter 103 - Frriendship

As these individuals left the secret chamber, preparing to depart according to their respective procedures, a massive fleet arrived in the Ultima Segmentum.

Upon arriving in the Ultima Segmentum, Zeke did not forget to contact his parents; therefore, he had already informed them the day before that he was coming to rescue Guilliman.

The arriving fleet was enormous, consisting of 20 emperor-class battleships and 4 gloriana-class battleships.

Accompanying them were 200 strike cruisers and 100 battle barges. This was a colossal fleet, and when it reached the edge of the Ultima Segmentum, the Ultima Segmentum's alarms blared.

Even though the fleet bore the Imperial flag and its Aquila banners were clearly visible.

Such a massive fleet, however, made it clear even to a fool that it was beyond the current Imperium's capabilities, hence the alarm was raised.

Inside Hera Fortress, the alarm blared, and the Ultramarines immediately began mobilization. Soon, someone came before Guilliman to report the current situation.

"Report, Primarch! A massive fleet has appeared at the edge of the Ultima Segmentum.

It consists of four Glorious gloriana-class battleships, 20 emperor-class battleships, 200 strike cruisers, and 100 battle barges. The fleet's scale is immense. Please evacuate, Primarch."

"A chaos fleet? Has chaos developed to such an extent? To be able to field such a large-scale fleet?" Guilliman immediately attributed the fleet to the chaos fleet.

Upon hearing their Primarch's words, the Ultramarines hesitated before speaking.

"According to our current intelligence, the probability of them being a chaos fleet is not high. They are flying the Imperial Aquila banner, not the chaos eight-pointed star."

After saying this, the Ultramarine, fearing that the Primarch might not believe him or consider the fleet a potential enemy, quickly added.

"Since your slumber, Primarch, the Imperium has been unable to construct Glorious gloriana-class battleships.

Let alone four appearing at once; it's simply impossible. For warships of this class to appear in the Ultima Segmentum now, it's guaranteed they cannot be the Imperial fleet."

The Ultramarine spoke with conviction, but his words landed quite differently on the ears of the two people opposite him.

Zeke knew without a second thought where this fleet came from.

Wasn't it clearly his own family's warships?

Apart from his family, who else in the entire Imperium of Man could field such a fleet?

So Zeke was very clear that this fleet could not be an enemy; it was 100% his family's warships, and Guilliman naturally also knew where this fleet came from.

Just because he had been in a stasis field for 10,000 years didn't mean he had been foolish for 10,000 years, so his memories from 10,000 years ago still existed.

Combining this with the fact that the person standing next to him was the heir of House Yaeger, Guilliman knew whose fleet it was without even thinking.

"It's fine. Announce to the Ultima Segmentum to cease preparations for war. This is not an enemy; this is an Imperial fleet, and it might even be our Ultramarines' fleet."

As he spoke, Guilliman gave Zeke a meaningful glance.

He recalled a transaction.

"This..."

Hearing the Primarch's words, the Ultramarine paused, but as it was an order from his own Primarch, he ultimately retreated to relay the command.

As expected, after the Ultramarine left, a communication appeared from the Hera Fortress terminal, directly before Guilliman.

The person who appeared was very familiar to Zeke: his good uncle, Otto Yaeger.

"Uncle, what are you doing here? And you brought such a large fleet?"

Seeing his uncle's appearance, Zeke asked, looking bewildered.

However, Otto Yaeger did not immediately address his nephew; instead, he first looked at Guilliman, the recently revived The 13th Primarch and Lord of the Ultramarines.

"Guilliman, Lord of the Thirteenth Legion, House Yaeger has come to fulfill the trade agreement made with you 10,000 years ago. These are the four Glorious gloriana-class battleships, twenty emperor-class battleships, 100 strike cruisers, and 100 battle barges you ordered from our House 10,000 years ago."

"You can now send your forces to receive them; we will deliver this fleet to you."

"I am here to represent the House and complete the transaction made with you 10,000 years ago."

As Otto Yaeger's words fell, Zeke was dumbfounded.

A transaction from 10,000 years ago?

What kind of transaction was made 10,000 years ago? Why did he know nothing about it? He felt like he, the heir, was completely clueless.

Although this had a little something to do with his continuous research into Stellaris technology, it shouldn't be this unlucky.

While Zeke was still trying to figure out what was going on, Guilliman performed an Aquila Salute towards Otto Yaeger.

"Thank you very much, sir. Thank you very much to your family for still remembering this transaction after 10,000 years and being willing to deliver these warships to me."

"House Yaeger is indeed still the most trustworthy family within the Imperium."

"I had originally given up all hope for this 10,000-year-old transaction, but I never expected your esteemed family to deliver these warships so promptly. I am truly grateful."

"You're too kind. After all, these are warships you ordered from our House. Although some unforeseen circumstances occurred at the time, preventing their timely delivery, what is due must still be given, especially since you have already paid in full."

"Integrity is the most important thing in business. We have built these warships a long time ago; it's time to return them to their rightful owner."

"Moreover, you are probably heading to Terra, aren't you? Those high lord there are not easy to deal with. Having this fleet will make it easier for you to control the situation on Terra. House Yaeger will support you."

Otto Yaeger also returned an Aquila Salute. Only after finishing his conversation with Guilliman did Otto Yaeger have time to look at his nephew.

"Ezekiel, it's clear you didn't pay attention to the events from 10,000 years ago when reciting the family chronicle, otherwise you wouldn't be looking so clear-eyed yet foolish."

"You need to understand the family's history. Although most of the House's youth are just like you, unwilling to understand the entire family's history."

"Alright, alright, you continue playing outside. I won't scold you. When you go to Terra, don't worry about your star system. According to our estimations, the Tyranid Swarm will arrive in two years, so there's no need to worry."

"You're the family heir, so it's a good time to go to Terra and interact with those high lords. Your third and fourth uncles have already returned from Terra, so you will be the family's high lord on Terra."

"Don't blame me, your uncle, for setting you up. Your father said this, so blame him. Who told you to run off before and call him back to handle government affairs?"

After saying these few sentences, Otto Yaeger hung up the communication without waiting for Zeke to respond.

Zeke was stunned by such sudden news, and in the end, he could only agree with a bitter expression.

After all, he was the family's heir, and this was his duty. He also didn't want to disappoint his second, third, and fourth uncles, as well as his parents.

Anyway, it was just to interact with those high lord; there was nothing to it. As for the development of the colony, professionals would naturally be in charge, so he wasn't needed.

Moreover, if he had any needs, he could directly know about the development of his colony from Terra.

Farming also takes time, especially when farming on a planetary scale.

Zeke turned around, looking at Guilliman with a helpless expression, while Guilliman smiled, filled with gratitude.

How could Guilliman find enough personnel to take over such a massive fleet?

Where would the Ultima Segmentum find so many naval personnel?

But with Zeke here, it was different. House Yaeger's navy would still be here, and these warships could continue to operate.

Whether it was House Yaeger sending him warships right after his revival or something else.

Guilliman acknowledged this friendship.
