Chapter 120 - Face

Facing his own descendants?

For a moment, Rogal Dorn, who had been preparing for a good rest, was once again stunned.

The Imperial Fists are a powerful force among the Space Marines.

This force should not have been as it is now; if he hadn't led the Imperial Fists to fight the Iron Warriors, the Imperial Fists' numbers wouldn't be so low.

Rogal Dorn thought of his loyal descendants, and a hint of embarrassment appeared on his face.

Zeke naturally saw this and, after some thought, decided to see his good deed through to the end.

"Feeling a bit awkward about facing your descendants?"

"Alright, I'll help you to the very end. You can give me the phalanx then, and I'll repair it for you."

No sooner had Zeke finished speaking than Rogal Dorn smiled.

As a Primarch from the Great Crusade era, he knew better than anyone the true state of his phalanx.

The phalanx was discovered by him and presented to his father, the Emperor. After acquiring the battleship, the Emperor immediately handed it over to House Yaeger for reinforcement.

In the year after House Yaeger took over the battleship, they reinforced it to varying degrees, turning it into a qualified titan warship.

Then, his father returned this battleship to him, making it the flagship of the Imperial Fists.

This is also why the Imperium was unable to repair the Imperial Fists' phalanx later on—because they lacked the technology.

The phalanx was personally perfected and designed by House Yaeger and then returned to Rogal Dorn. Only a small number of people within the Adeptus Mechanicus knew of this battleship's design.

The Imperium publicly proclaimed that the battleship was perfected by the Emperor working with the Adeptus Mechanicus, so the Imperial Fists did not know who its true creators were.

Those within the Adeptus Mechanicus who originally knew how to repair this phalanx had also died during the Great Pilgrimage.

Members of the Dark Adeptus Mechanicus hunted down these loyalists.

Although Rogal Dorn knew of House Yaeger's existence, due to the Great Pilgrimage, House Yaeger closed its doors during that period and did not accept any visitors.

Therefore, even he had no way at the time.

Everyone is familiar with what happened later: the world Eaters besieged Rogal Dorn, and Khorne intervened, directly pulling him away.

As a result, he couldn't even explain this secret to his descendants, preventing them from finding someone to repair it.

Now that Zeke had proactively offered to repair the phalanx for him, how could Rogal Dorn not be happy? He was just wondering how to bring it up.

After all, Zeke's identity was simply too extraordinary: first, the heir of House Yaeger, and then their uncle, on equal footing with the Emperor.

More importantly, he himself had been rescued by Zeke, making him his savior.

Such an identity left Rogal Dorn at a loss for how to ask him for help in repairing the phalanx, as compensation he intended to bring to his descendants.

Now that Zeke himself had directly spoken those words for him, how could he not be happy?

Dorn felt that he had never been happier than he was now.

His father had personally come to see him, and Zeke had agreed to repair the phalanx for him.

And his good brother was also by his side; even if it was just Guilliman now, it was still good news.

Enveloped by so much happiness, Dorn fell into a deep sleep; he was truly tired and needed a good rest.

Zeke, however, did not disturb him; instead, he turned and left.

He chose to give this space to Guilliman and Rogal Dorn, while he himself hurried towards the battleship's restaurant.

After beating Khorne, doing so many things, and even watching so much drama, it was time to savor some delicious food to satisfy his current needs.

The battleship swiftly headed towards Holy Terra.

Meanwhile, the war in the Segmentum Obscurus was also quickly drawing to a close.

The number of chaos daemon was still too small. Faced with a large fleet of warships, the ships besieging the chaos daemon simply couldn't withstand much, especially since Zeke had personally intervened and added a buff to his warships.

In addition, the four Chaos Gods of the Warp also took action, doing their best to weaken the combat power of the chaos daemon.

Although the four of them disliked each other and viewed the Emperor and Zeke as their enemies, they were still willing to unite and fight against this external invasion, especially against creatures that fed on energy.

Among everyone, except for the Emperor, who couldn't provide a positive buff and had to use his psychic power to maintain the Astronomican, everyone else who could give buffs did so.

Under their enhancements, the Dominion fleet's combat power was greatly improved, and the daemon, who had been stubbornly holding on with their shields, suffered devastating blows.

This chaos daemon force, attracted by Tzeentch, had its last battleship utterly disintegrated into a mass of pure energy by the combined volley of two titan warships, which was then teleported into Zeke's Eternal Throne.

The war against the chaos daemon thus came to an end.

And by all accounts, the Eye of Terror should have been releasing a massive amount of Warp energy, invading the entire real universe at this point.

However, to its great annoyance, the Eye of Terror at this moment was not spewing out any energy at all.

The Chaos Gods of the Warp watched as the warships that had eliminated the chaos daemon slowly turned their prows, aiming directly at the Eye of Terror.

The titans, which had previously fired massive energy beams, also began to gather energy in their main cannons again. The implication was already clear.

If the Chaos Gods dared to pour a large amount of Warp energy out of the Eye of Terror, then these warships would plunge into the Warp, directly attacking the Chaos Gods.

Facing the main cannons of the titan warships gathering energy, the Chaos Gods of the Warp very obediently chose to back down.

There was no other way; the titan's main cannons were not truly terrifying—what was terrifying was Zeke.

If that guy came back again, they would be the ones in trouble.

The Chaos Gods did not actively let all the Warp energy flow out, splitting the galaxy into a Great Rift.

However, the Eye of Terror had, after all, lost control, so some Warp energy still slowly seeped out, beginning to invade the real universe.

For Abaddon, who was currently hiding and peeking from within the Eye of Terror, all of this meant he had completed his 13th Black Crusade.

Although the situation had developed far beyond his expectations, with a host of things happening that he wouldn't even dare to imagine.

Did Abaddon, the undefeated commander, achieve another glorious victory?

On the surface, it appeared so.
