No one knew what secret the necrons were keeping.
The fleet dispatched by Zeke was on its way to provide support. Given the vastness of the Imperium of Man, the necrons would ultimately fall at the hands of humanity—this was the consensus of all humans.
At this moment, Zeke's attention had once again been drawn away from the necrons.
He saw a powerful enemy: The Great Devourer!
The Great Devourer was the undisputed master of the Tyranid Swarm. Its shadow appeared in the Warp, and the profound sense of hunger it emanated even subtly affected Zeke.
"State your purpose, tyranid master. Your fleet is heading in my direction. If you cannot state your purpose, then don't blame me for engaging you in the Warp first."
Conflict with the Tyranid Swarm was inevitable, but whether it was in reality or in the Warp, it made no difference to Zeke.
He wanted to understand the situation with these Tyranid Swarm now.
"Hiss—hungry, I'm so hungry—"
"Your scent is so familiar. Have we met somewhere before...?"
To Zeke's surprise, The Great Devourer of the Tyranid Swarm actually responded to him and began to converse.
Alright, Zeke had never imagined he would actually speak with The Great Devourer. He had merely made a casual remark out of courtesy, not expecting the other party to actually reply.
"If you ask where we've met, I have no such memory. I don't think I've ever seen you. Your body is too massive, comparable even to the Quasar Celestial Wreck."
Zeke looked at The Great Devourer's colossal body, first answering its question, then marveling at the immense size of its form.
It was well-known that a massive body required sufficiently strong mechanical structures or material science to support it. The Great Devourer's body was so immense, meaning its physical form could absolutely not be described as fragile.
Its body was certainly incredibly tough.
"Celestial... Wreck..."
"...Hiss..."
"I think I know who you are..."
"Emperor of the Terran Dominion, you seem to have grown weaker..."
The term Quasar Celestial Wreck was all too familiar to the Tyranid Swarm. They remembered that during a previous invasion of a universe, they had suffered a devastating blow from a certain civilization.
There were many such colossal battleships in that empire at the time, leading to their entire civilization being thoroughly beaten.
"But no matter what, we, the Tyranid Swarm, might even have to thank you. If you hadn't stopped the Hunter civilization and fought them, we probably wouldn't be living the way we do now."
"From that perspective, your Terran Dominion might be our saviors, but..."
"Hungry... So hungry..."
The Great Devourer hadn't even finished speaking when its rationality was once again consumed by hunger.
Hunger constantly affected The Great Devourer.
The reason it had been able to regain its composure and speak with Zeke moments ago was purely because Zeke's aura was too familiar. This familiar aura allowed The Great Devourer to briefly break free from the torment of hunger.
However, hunger still enveloped him, and the rationality he had so painstakingly recovered was once again swallowed by hunger.
????
Watching the colossal beast before him revert to a beastly state, Zeke was at a loss for words.
Satisfying the Tyranid Swarm's appetite and feeding it until it was full was something Zeke would never do.
Even if the Terran Dominion had reached the point where it could reverse electricity meters and completely break the so-called law of conservation of energy, it wouldn't be enough.
The Great Devourer's appetite would only grow larger and larger. Rather than feeding this fellow, it would be better to simply deal with him—that was the best option.
"Hungry..."
Zeke acted. A colossal psychic greatsword cleaved towards The Great Devourer.
But the result was quite meager; his single strike only shaved off a portion of The Great Devourer, which then immediately swallowed that part back into its belly, and its body recovered its completeness.
This scene made Zeke's mouth twitch.
Such an existence was not easy to deal with at all... The Emperor, who had originally been meditating on Terra, instantly arrived by Zeke's side after sensing his move.
The four Chaos Gods in the Warp also felt the disturbance caused by Zeke's action. These four Chaos Gods once again turned their gaze towards Zeke and the Emperor. Upon seeing Zeke confront The Great Devourer, the four Chaos Gods unanimously watched Zeke intently.
The Great Devourer was not easy to deal with; chaos had fought these bugs before, but neither side had gained much advantage from their conflicts.
Now that they saw Zeke confront The Great Devourer, they naturally couldn't resist their desire to watch the show and all turned their attention to Zeke.
The Emperor came before Zeke and placed his hand on Zeke's shoulder.
"Need help?"
Zeke waved his hand.
"No need. I haven't planned on fighting him yet; I'm just testing his combat power. Dealing with an existence of this level isn't something we can handle by simply acting."
"To eliminate this guy, I need new battleships. I need to build new battleships, the Quasar Celestial Wreck."
"The main reason I came here was that this guy seemed a bit familiar, so I specifically came to take a look."
"This guy's speed is still as slow as ever. Don't worry too much about him. Let's deal with the matters at hand first."
After saying this, Zeke motioned for the Emperor to leave. The Great Devourer was incredibly far from the galaxy; it would probably take him seventy or eighty, or even a hundred years to arrive.
By then, his Terran Dominion would likely have arrived, and even if the Terran Dominion hadn't, he himself could build super-battleships like the Quasar Celestial Wreck.
"Alright," hearing Zeke say this, the Emperor didn't insist further. He merely looked at the colossal Devourer with some apprehension.
However, the thought that a taller person had now emerged, meaning he didn't have to worry, once again eased the Emperor's mind.
He could just continue being his homebody. As for other matters, wasn't Zeke there?
Zeke could handle it.
If even Zeke couldn't handle it, then what could he do?
If even a big shot like Zeke couldn't handle it, then he couldn't either. Let it be, let it be.
The Emperor also followed Zeke to leave, but the Emperor returned directly to Terra, while Zeke took a step and reappeared before Tzeentch.
Immediately, a sharp sword was plunged back into Tzeentch's belly, and then the blue bird was severely slapped dozens of times.
"Awesome!" Zeke couldn't help but exclaim, and after saying this, he was met with Tzeentch's expression full of grievance.
Heaven knows how wronged Tzeentch felt at that moment.
"I didn't say anything, why are you hitting me?" Tzeentch weakly asked Zeke.
"You didn't even say 'everything is going according to plan'! This is an insult to me!"
"You're clearly looking down on me. How is it wrong for me to beat you up?" Zeke argued self-righteously, while the other three Chaos Gods continued to watch the scene with interest.
As long as Zeke didn't come to hit them, it was fine. As for Tzeentch?
This guy hadn't been beaten for the first time anyway.
