"Boom, boom, boom."
"Adamantine Sealing Chains!"
The members of the Uzumaki clan shouted explosively, using a sealing technique that combined offense and defense.
Overwhelming chains wove together in front of them to form a strong defensive wall.
Overwhelming Lightning Release and Water Release ninjutsu bombarded the defensive wall as if chakra cost nothing.
As soon as the two sides engaged, the Uzumaki clan began to lose ground. After all, the younger generation had gone to arrange the escape of the clan members. The remaining old guard consisted of only 20 to 30 people; how could they withstand the attacks of 200 enemies?
After just one round of attacks, Uzumaki Ashita and the others had their Adamantine Sealing Chains broken. They were all blasted away, lying on the ground heavily injured.
"You want the Hidden Eddy Village's sealing jutsu? I can give it to you. I only ask that you let the clan members behind me go. Otherwise, you will never find the location of the Uzumaki clan's strongest sealing jutsu."
Seeing that they had only held out for a moment before being defeated, Uzumaki Ashita hurriedly played his trump card.
Sure enough, the teams stopped their attacks. Their goal was the sealing jutsu. If they only obtained some simple sealing techniques, then this attack on the Hidden Eddy Village would be meaningless.
Their goal from the start was the core sealing jutsu—the ones that could suppress Tailed Beasts and other seals of that level.
The eyes of the two captains general gleamed. They didn't know if they should trust this old man.
"I am not lying to you. The Uzumaki clan's core sealing scroll is not in the village at all. Even if you turn the village upside down, you won't find it. My only demand is that you let those clan members go."
Seeing the hesitant look in their eyes, Uzumaki Ashita immediately continued.
"It looks like you really cherish your clan members. I'll also give you two choices. Either tell us the whereabouts of the core sealing scroll now, and if I'm in a good mood, I might let them go. Or, I will go kill those Uzumaki clan members right now."
The Hidden Cloud Village captain spoke grimly. He had no intention of letting the Uzumaki clan go, but he was determined to get the sealing scroll, so he was gambling.
He was betting that for the safety of his clan, Uzumaki Ashita would reveal the location of the core sealing scroll to gamble on that sliver of a chance for survival.
"How can I trust you?" Uzumaki Ashita's expression was uncertain and dark.
"You have no choice. Let's see if you want to bet."
The Hidden Cloud captain looked at Uzumaki Ashita playfully.
Uzumaki Ashita fell silent. He wasn't a fool; how could he speak without the clan members being safe?
Given the personality of these people, once they got the location of the scroll, they would never let the clan members go. Speaking up at the start was just to buy a little more time.
So now he remained silent. Every moment dragged out was a moment gained. The fate of the clan members would depend on what happened next; he was truly doing his best to stall for time.
"This damn old guy dares to play me? Dares to stall for time? Go to hell!"
Seeing Uzumaki Ashita remain silent and refusing to speak, the Hidden Cloud captain finally reacted.
He flew into a rage out of humiliation, and a massive amount of Lightning Release chakra gathered in his hand.
"Lightning Release: Black Panther!"
The Lightning Release chakra condensed into a black panther, charging towards Uzumaki Ashita, who was lying on the ground, heavily injured and unable to move.
"Goodbye, Nana. Goodbye, mother of my child. I hope you can escape and find Nana. I did my best."
Seeing the black panther about to hit him, Uzumaki Ashita closed his eyes in despair.
"Bang."
A massive sound rang out. The Hidden Cloud captain's Lightning Release: Black Panther was shattered by a large blue ball.
Then, everyone saw three figures—a boy and two girls with black, yellow, and red hair—appear in front of Uzumaki Ashita.
Uzumaki Ashita, who had closed his eyes waiting for death, realized he hadn't died and the ninjutsu hadn't hit him. He opened his eyes involuntarily. Did that ninja's jutsu miss?
The moment he opened his eyes, he found three figures standing before him. One of them, the figure with red hair, was so familiar.
His heart stirred, and he stared at the red-haired girl's back in disbelief, his eyes filling with tears.
"Is that you? Nana?"
Uzumaki Ashita gritted his teeth, looking at the girl with anticipation.
"Yeah, dear Dad. Long time no see. It's been six years, right? Seeing you again, you look really miserable."
Kushina turned her head and smiled at her dad. However, her heart was erupting like a volcano. Seeing her long hair dancing wildly, one could tell how angry she was.
Just a little bit more, just a tiny bit, and her dear dad would have died. How could she not be furious?
"Ah, I let my daughter see a joke. Did the Konoha reinforcements arrive?"
Uzumaki Ashita breathed a sigh of relief. It looked like he wouldn't die after all.
Seeing this, the people from the Hidden Cloud and Hidden Mist also looked around vigilantly, thinking that news had leaked and Konoha reinforcements were here.
"Ah, there are no reinforcements. It's just the three of us. We finished a mission in the Land of Iron, and I thought I hadn't seen Dad in so long, so I came to visit."
Kushina answered simply.
"You fool! What can three people do? You're throwing your lives away! Run, quickly!"
Uzumaki Ashita, who had just relaxed, suddenly tensed up again, his expression changing drastically.
His already heavily injured body, with this sudden rise and fall of emotion, couldn't take it. "Wah," he spat out a mouthful of fresh blood.
"Dad, are you okay?"
Seeing Uzumaki Ashita coughing blood, Kushina quickly stepped forward to treat him with Medical Ninjutsu. She had not only learned Tsunade's Monstrous Strength but had also dabbled in some Medical Ninjutsu.
After stabilizing Uzumaki Ashita's injuries slightly, Kushina stood up with an expressionless face. She was going to avenge her dear dad.
When Kushina said there were only three people, the Hidden Cloud and Hidden Mist ninja clearly sighed in relief, followed by ferocious smiles appearing on their faces.
Damn brats, jumping out suddenly and scaring us. I'll make you feel despair.
"Minato, Big Sister Mikoto, I'll leave my Dad and the elders to you. Don't interfere with what comes next. I'm going to pay them back one by one."
Kushina's hair began to dance wildly as she shouted deep in her heart: "Kurama!"
"Oh, I got it. They dare to bully your clan and your father; even this old man can't stand it anymore. It's time to flex our muscles and let the ninja world witness the horror of the strongest Tailed Beast—the Nine-Tails."
Kurama stood up, clasped his hands together, and revealed a cold sneer. He could feel the rage in Kushina's heart, and as a friend, he would naturally help with all his might.
