Chapter 97 - Chapter 96

"To see the surprise I prepared for you, of course." Milim pushed Kushina into the clothing store!

The clerk quickly spotted Milim and smiled immediately. "Lady Milim, are you here to pick up the finished outfit?"

Milim pushed Kushina forward, her tone full of cheer. "That's right. Quickly change Kushina into the clothes. I can't wait to see it."

"This way, please." Guided by the clerk, Kushina walked into a changing room.

Milim waited outside, her eyes shining with anticipation.

Taking advantage of the gap while clothes were being changed, Tsunade leaned over.

"Are you buying clothes?"

Milim glanced at Tsunade and said in a relaxed tone, "That's right. I specially ordered a maid outfit."

"Becoming a maid at such a young age?" Tsunade looked at the changing room in surprise.

Milim: "Kushina will be following me in the future. She needs an identity that fits, just like the personal secretary beside my sister."

"Oh!" Tsunade looked as if she suddenly understood, then asked with feigned curiosity, "By the way, you haven't mentioned your sister yet?

And I heard you have a country, is that true?"

Tsunade was obviously here to spy on intelligence. Her act wasn't convincing at all, but she knew she couldn't fool anyone. However, she also clearly knew that Milim wouldn't care about these leaks.

She said these words merely to start a conversation.

Sure enough, Milim didn't hide anything and openly spoke about the country she was proud of.

"Hmph hmph! Our Totto Land rules half of the world's seas. If it weren't for the fact that we can't digest so much territory for the time being, that world would already belong to our Totto Land."

"Ruling so much territory must have involved many wars." Tsunade sighed with emotion. She could see the brutality of war from these words.

"Were there?" Milim frowned and thought seriously for a moment, realizing she hadn't fought many wars. In total, she fought the First War and the God Valley War.

After she became a Demon Lord, the kings of the New World were very tactful and surrendered swiftly.

Milim directly ignored Wano Country and other islands forcibly ruled by Gundams.

In her eyes, those small-scale battles were just brawls, completely unworthy of the term 'war'.

"We really haven't fought many wars. Basically only twice, and we had practically no casualties. Since I became a Demon Lord, those guys have been very tactful and surrendered directly."

These understated words made Tsunade choke.

She was just fantasizing about how tragic the wars were and how miserable the people on both sides were.

As a result, Milim told her that Totto Land had only fought twice in total, and Totto Land basically had no deaths.

Tsunade felt a little depressed!

"By the way!" Milim suddenly remembered a question she had in her previous life, and a curious look appeared on her face. "I also have a question for you!"

Milim's sentence was not only addressed to Tsunade but also to Jiraiya and Orochimaru.

Hearing this, the three also looked curious. They had always been the ones with questions, and now it was finally Milim's turn to be curious about something, so they looked forward to Milim's question.

Under the gaze of the three, Milim spoke softly, "You clearly possess powerful strength, so why are you willing to submit to those weak monkeys?"

As soon as these words came out, the three were stunned.

Tsunade asked in confusion, "Monkeys? What monkeys?"

"I mean your Daimyo. Clearly, they don't possess your powerful strength in their bodies, and their physical fitness is not much different from ordinary people. Why do all of you obey their orders? Isn't that a bit too strange?"

Milim had wanted to ask this question for a long time.

Ninjas possessed the power to destroy heaven and earth, yet those who held power were ordinary nobles with no strength, and these ninjas were willing to only be Hokage.

This was something neither he in his previous life nor she now could understand.

Even in the One Piece world, the World Government ruled the world relying on strength. Don't look at how arrogant and useless those low-level Celestial Dragons were.

The higher-level Celestial Dragons possessed extremely strong power.

But the Daimyo here had no strength themselves, nor any powerful weapons, yet they ordered such powerful ninjas around like dogs.

This puzzled Milim greatly.

The three didn't expect Milim to ask this. Their minds went blank instantly, instinctively feeling that this sentence was somewhat rebellious.

"But it has been like this since ancient times." Jiraiya scratched his head, taking it for granted.

"And without the Daimyo's rule, our Ninja Village wouldn't receive funding every year. Without funding, our village couldn't exist."

"Ha!" Milim stared wide-eyed at Jiraiya who took it for granted, her tone carrying a disbelief as if she had seen an alien. "Just because of these trivial matters! You are willing to be ruled and ordered around like dogs."

"What do you mean ordered around like dogs? Completing missions is our duty as ninjas. It has been like this since ancient times, aren't we living just fine?" Jiraiya's expression was still matter-of-fact.

Tsunade felt that what Milim said seemed to make a little sense, but the ideological shackles that had always existed prevented her from changing her thinking instantly.

Orochimaru was much faster. As soon as this statement appeared, Orochimaru broke through the ninja's mindset and accepted this statement very easily.

Milim looked at Jiraiya, finally showing disgust in her eyes. "It seems I underestimated this profession. You are even more perverted than I imagined."

She clearly understood that Jiraiya could never join Totto Land in the future no matter what. His thinking was like a rusted gear, only knowing how to follow those old rules, afraid to make any new breakthroughs.

Totto Land had been progressing all these years. Various policies would soon be unsuited for the rapidly advancing Totto Land, so policies were constantly changing. A guy like Jiraiya with a rusty brain couldn't adapt to this environment.

Hearing Milim's words, Jiraiya was about to retort.

Snap!

With a snap of fingers, Jiraiya found that he couldn't open his mouth no matter what.

"Clearly, I like many kinds of people, and your personality can be considered a good person. Logically speaking, we should get along very happily.

But you are exactly the type I hate the most.

A windmill that cannot turn should just be destroyed, yet you are still clinging to a useless thing."
