In the establishment of the Hypno lab, Paulo Satoshi searched the area with Momo Yokoyama by his side.
They looked for more tablets on Shinjiro Satoshi.
Pain struck Paulo's head again. Riko calmed him down.
She then explained that the pain came from breaking two limits the same day.
Paulo trusted her words.
Then he found another old tablet. This one showed his own past fights.
It said: Paulo Satoshi, the hypno killer. He wiped out one billion of us. But we cursed him.
Shock hit Paulo hard.
He read it two times.
The ancient text described the Death Curse.
Paulo dies, and his body resets. He switches to a new one.
Kills and limits start back at zero.
Paulo showed it to Momo. Her eyes grew wide, then red.
"How many deaths are behind you?" she asked.
Paulo stood apart from pure monarchs.
Part human, he could die for real.
"A hundred thousand times, Momo," Paulo said.
It all clicked for Paulo. Limits 3 and 4 stayed locked.
This unlocked a new power. He could shift into monarch race forms.
He could borrow their strength for five minutes. No more than that.
Paulo's stomach twisted with nerves. But only a little.
He left the Hypno lab.
Riku and Rajin waited outside.
"So, this is you where you were, Satoshi, this is where you ran off to when we were going to train for the finals of the tournament," Riku said while being a little cheerful and a little annoyed.
His voice sounded cheerful.
He noticed Paulo's eyes had dimmed more.
"Oh, it's you," Momo said. She stepped out next to Paulo.
Riku and Rajin braced for a fight at the sight of her.
Paulo told them to stand down. She fought with them now, she was now a part of the cosmic army.

Back at the Skydome of the monarch world, Lucy Lightheart watched Paulo like always.
Then a mysterious figure entered her room.
It was no one else other than Izumi Morningstar, a few days ago everyone thought he died against Riku.
"Izumi, I thought you were gone," Lucy said.
Tears ran down her face.
"Takes a lot to kill a monarch," Izumi replied. He looked smug.
"Monarch? Wait, did your dad finally pass on his blood powers?" Lucy jumped with joy.
"Yeah, but more than that. My mark is gone. No more hypno scum controlling me," Izumi said loud.
Two and a half million years earlier.
Izumi walked the mortal world. A shady man came close.
Before Izumi could move, the touch landed. Hypnosis took hold.
The man held a high spot in a hypno gang. He forced Izumi to get Lucy pregnant.
Lucy was dating Paulo happily before Izumi ever appeared into their soft lives.
Worst part: Paulo saw it all.
He slit his own gut in his bedroom of the Skydome and ended his own life.
Back to Lucy and Izumi. Izumi said that he owed Paulo a massive apology.
He never meant to kill Lily or cause Paulo's suicide for the curse.
He had lost control.
"Hey, Let's go to Terra Universe, Izumi, Paulo will be there so you can apologise to him," Lucy said with cheer so that Izumi doesn't feel more guilty then he already was.
They headed to Terra Universe, one of the twelve universes. Unaware of the war ahead.
