Chapter 25 - Chapter 25: A Real Girl

『Felix Karl Grimm』

"Shoot him! Shoot him!"

I walked forward without increasing my pace, or exerting myself. My custom order katana poised in front of me. Several people aimed their guns towards me. But before their fingers met the triggers, red lines extended from their barrels along with images of where the bullets would go moments from now.

My body tilted to the side, and I swung my sword, the power flowing through my body made the blade in my hands move as fast as a fully augmented cyborg.

Ratatata!

Clang! Clink! Bang!

Gunfire rang out, bullets missed their mark, and other bullets I sliced apart with my sword, it was kind of like Osu, I swung the sword precisely and with anticipation, moving it from the path of one bullet to the other, focusing on the tip of the sword since moving just the tip was far easier than moving the entire blade. I couldn't parry the machinegun fire and shotgun blasts, but handguns and rifles were doable.

The weight and impact of the bullets travelled through the blade and down to my hands, but I did not drop my sword, compared to the swings of the Black Knights, this was nothing. It may as well have been a toddler punching my wrists.

After dodging everything I couldn't parry, and parrying everything I did not feel like dodging, I decided it was finally my turn. I crouched, my legs tensed, the muscles coiled with power like a spring ready to launch. And launch they did.

Bam!

I pushed off the ground, the floor of the warehouse cracked in a cobweb pattern from where my feet were placed, with the combined power of a Kure with the added power from [Superhuman] I surpassed the power of most cybernetics. I raced through the warehouse and came upon my first armored Arasaka goon. I raised my blade and slashed with my momentum, splitting his body in half so fast he probably didn't even feel the pain. His upper half didn't even start sliding off before I was past him.

Spurrrt!

Ducking down to avoid another spray of bullets, I kicked one half of the cleaved body towards a turret before leaping at my next target and taking off their neck with a single swipe of my blade. I then shifted my weight and bisected the person next to them too, the armor covering their body doing demonstrably little to protect them from my sword backed by immense raw power.

"Tsk."

I couldn't help but click my tongue upon feeling a few bullets hit their marks on my back, they managed to barely pierce through the trench coat and armor, but stopped at my Superhuman reinforced skin. I spun on my feet and dashed towards the goon who shot me, advancing at speeds that would fit more on a car than a human and lunged towards them, the tip of my karana going through their chest and their heart as if they were made of styrofoam.

Kicking the body off my blade I parried another volley of bullets. I abused my Superhuman physicals to their full limits, jumping off walls, dashing, jumping, and asserting my superiority over the Arasaka Security in general using all the tricks I had trained with the Black Knight's and performing reasonably well.

I got hit a notable amount of times, enough that I probably wouldn't have been able to get out if it were not for superhuman, but then again, without superhuman I wouldn't be challenging an entire Arasaka Warehouse with only a goddamn sword.

Even if I was getting hit, no hit was enough to majorly hurt me, only snipers and rifles could draw proper blood from me, and those I could easily anticipate with Precognition. Eventually, after sending over 20 people to the big blender down below, I reached the main office to see a terrified man with his back against the wall. That suit of his was awfully gaudy, I could smell the corpo stink from him without even coming closer.

"W-why have you done this!?"

"Training for- no wait, I don't have to explain myself to you. My bad."

"Wait-!"

I was just about to get into a monologue before realizing I was in front of a corpo higher up and did not actually need to say anything. I walked closer and punched their head full force, scattering teeth, gore and viscera across the wall.

"And that's job complete."

Sending the message to Capitan I looked at the sword in my hands, or what used to be a sword, it had gone from a razor sharp blade to a metal stick full of dents, chips and cracks. Deflecting so many bullets with it had reduced it to a scrap. Without hesitation, I threw it away. This was the 8th sword this week alone.

Regular metal could get only so durable, and after deflecting over a hundred bullets with it, it was easier to discard it and buy another sword than to work on the blade. Same for my trench coat, I had already gone through 5 this week.

Superhuman was undoubtedly potent, especially for an Uncommon Ability, especially when paired with Precognition. It didn't make me Captain America, but it did put me in the ballpark with a more balanced spread. Because as it turns out, if you are able to resist the strength of punching strong enough to go through concrete, you can resist most low caliber bullets.

Its energy drain was roughly even with Precognition and consumed more when I put more force into my moves. This ability was less like a lightswitch, and more like a gas pedal, and the more I pushed, the more mileage I got but the faster I got gassed out. With my current reserves and experience, just this warehouse was enough to get me low. But damn it was satisfying to stop a punch from Gorilla arms dead like Spider-Man against Winter Soldier.

Once my job was done, I quickly left the warehouse for Capitan's people to come in and strip the place of its valuables, in the meantime I rifled through my pockets and as expected, I found a Silver ticket inside.

An item eh? They haven't been awfully useful yet, I have like 40 Deadshot Daiqiri's sitting in my fridge because I am never pushed to a level where I need to use them. Sometimes I think about if I should have picked the RV, then I remember the corporations here are fully willing to nuke populated areas just to get their hands on basic prototypes, let alone Alien tech and I think better of it.

Anyway, let's see what this gets me.

[One Million Buzzaws]

|Uncommon Item|

Hollow Knight - All sourced unethically from the White Palace, each buzzaw is 3 meters in length and permanently spinning with steel blades that cannot be stopped without being destroyed. Each buzzsaw has to be taken out of storage manually and can hurt the user if not careful.

or

[Tome of the Way of the White]

|Rare Item|

Dark Souls - A tome that allows its reader to learn the miracles of the Way of the White, this Tome was written by Rhea of Thorulund, allowing you to learn all of her miracles.

Wow, that is certainly polarizing.

To start with, I have zero use for the Buzzsaws, that's for certain. Seriously, who has use for one million buzzsaws? Who am I? The pale king? I'm not trying to guard a kingsoul here. Sure, it is roughly like 3 million tons of decent quality steel but I don't even want to think of the logistical nightmare of processing eternally working buzzsaws.

The tome on the other hand... I could just straight up learn magic!?!? No, not just me, any reader basically, it is a sharable mini magic system. And it's from Darksouls too... again. I knew Darksouls enough to know what Miracles I could learn from it, not a large variety but there was the crucial one.

Healing, and not only that, but several ways of healing, and some shockwave stuff and even a very limited teleport.

It was utterly moronic to even entertaining the idea of a million buzzsaws with this offered to me. So you can bite it pale king, I'm not spending my entire kingdom's treasury on buzzsaws and retracting spikes.

The moment I confirmed my choice, a book dropped in my hands, a book bound in white leather and golden ribbons, definitely fancy. I wanted to open it up now and start reading but I decided to not whip it out while driving in my car, while it was still driving itself without Giffany controlling, I didn't want to get lost reading my book and not be paying attention when my car gets slammed by some scavs or something.

Thankfully, the ride home was relatively uneventful, no scavs, no shootouts, no scavs doing shootouts, or shootouts getting scavved. I parked my Herrera Outlaw in the building's garage before taking the elevator back up, I really wanted to throw myself into a bath, I felt sticky, and nasty, covered in blood and sweat.

The moment I came close to the door, it opened up before I scanned my hand, signaling someone was already inside, and that someone revealed themselves the instant the doors parted and revealed the sight inside.

"Welcome back home my boyfriend! Would like a bath first? A meal? Or... me?"

I blinked with raw incredulity at the person standing in front of me, both familiar and unfamiliar at the same time.

It was Giffany, exactly as she appeared in her digital avatars but now fully in the flesh, it was almost an exact replica, if anything, she looked even better. My eyes captured her appearance in its full glory. She was half a head shorter than me, long pink hair reached down to her waist, her eyes were a mix of pink and amber. She even made a replica of her cable-catridge-bowtie thingy.

And her outfit was definitely perfectly tailored for a first impression for the ages. A perfect naked apron that showed off her body, perfectly proportioned with ample breasts a touch bigger than Lucy's and white hips that definitely did not deceive. And the stockings added was just a touch of perfection. There was absolutely no way for me to discern her body from a human, not a single seam or line. Those Raven Microtechnics guys earned my mercy.

"Huhu~ stunned? I'm glad~ so what'll it be~?"

I had to reboot my brain and blink a few times before I couldn't help but wear a wry smile. I was beyond elated Giffany's body had finished but...

"As much as I'd like to pick you Giffany, I am covered in a cocktail of corpo guts, smog and general Night City. So I think I'll take that bath first, the meal second, and then you."

An overjoyed smile danced on Giffany's lips as she jumped on the spot, and I noticed how the thumps of her jumping sounded significantly heavier than it otherwise should have, she was definitely more than a hundred kilograms despite looking she should weigh barely 50.

"Alright boyfriend, my first time should have the best experience possible, don't worry, I already prepared the bath for you ahead of time since I anticipated such an outcome! Feel free to take as long as you want as long as you don't take long!"

Those eyes of hers burned with an intensity hot enough to rival a thousand suns with the sheer anticipation contained within them.

Let's hope my hips survive today.

Feat Achieved! Give Giffany a proper body

+1x Gold Familiar Gacha Ticket

A/N: Superhuman + Precognition = Genre Switch. Grimm has gone from moving like a first person shooter to moving like a baby Jetstream Sam, it's a fun combination of abilities to write, and what better way to demonstrate it than showing Arasaka getting stomped to the dirt? What did you guys think about the fight scene? I'd love to know.

Giffany is here in her fully glory! Grimm's hips have no chance. The game was rigged from the start, he'll be extra grateful he rolled superhuman last chapter because he will need it. That aside, that Tome is a massive pull that will have a very big impact on the story and I'm looking very forward to it, what do you guys think?
