"You… how the hell are you able to lift Mjolnir?!"
The blinding arcs of lightning exploded around Damon, and Loki, unable to contain his disbelief, instantly dropped his invisibility spell. Jealousy twisted his features into something almost feral.
"Who are you?!"
Coulson and the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents had already been stunned by Damon's transformation — but Loki's sudden appearance caught them completely off guard.
Hawkeye reacted on pure instinct, bowstring pulled taut; every other agent flipped the safeties off their weapons, black muzzles snapping toward the intruder in unison.
Loki, however, didn't even glance at them. His cold eyes locked entirely on Damon.
"You stand before the King of Asgard! The Lord of the Nine Realms! The Ruler of the Gods — Loki Odinson!"
He raised his arms with regal arrogance, the air crackling with divine authority.
"Now, mortals of Midgard… kneel before your God-King!"
The agents didn't move. Not even one twitched. They just waited — for Coulson's order to open fire.
"Ignorant Midgardians," Loki sneered. If this were any other day, he would have made them grovel before him. But right now, his attention was locked on something more important.
"You… impostor of a thunder god. Speak, and tell your king — how did you lift Mjolnir?!"
Damon, still feeling the surge of divine thunder coursing through him, didn't even bother looking at Loki.
"Oh, that? Just a matter of lifting my hand. What's the big deal? Don't tell me you can't lift Mjolnir? No way... aren't you supposed to be the King of the Gods?"
His tone was light — teasing, almost mocking — as he continued focusing inward, analyzing the flood of power within.
Under the infusion of Thor's Power, Damon's stats skyrocketed once again. Even without any equipment bonuses, his base attributes had undergone a massive leap:
Name: Damon Attributes: Strength: 500 (150 + 350) Intelligence: 150 Agility: 300 (150 + 150) Endurance: 450 (150 + 300) Soul Power: 150 Energy: 400 (200 + 200)
Inventory: Mjolnir Skills: Power of the Thunder God (Artifact Skill), Earth Core, Starlight, Divine Thunder, 200 Million Volts — Thunderlord, Kirin
Power Evaluation: Avengers core-tier — you definitely have a seat at the table.
So this… this was the true power hidden inside Mjolnir — not just the weapon itself, but the essence of Thor's divine energy.
Even though Damon hadn't technically been "chosen" by the hammer, he didn't need its permission. Thanks to his Map Editor, he could still harness all of its attributes freely — essentially bypassing Odin's enchantment.
He had found a backdoor into the hammer's power.
The result was overwhelming. Right now, he felt stronger than ever before — easily powerful enough to crush someone like Morgana (non-complete form) in direct combat.
"Come to think of it… according to the editor's system, most artifacts can be duplicated as long as they're not tagged as 'unique.'" "So… what happens if I equip ten Mjolnirs?"
Damon smirked. That thought alone was intoxicating.
With a flick of his wrist, he mentally pressed Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V.
To his delight — it worked. Anything stored in the Map Editor's inventory could be infinitely duplicated, unless restricted by system rules.
In theory, he could spawn billions of Mjolnirs and arm every human on Earth with one.
"Now that's an army," he mused with a grin.
He promptly created nine more Mjolnirs and equipped them all.
Instantly, a torrent of lightning engulfed his entire body. His aura expanded like a thunderstorm tearing through the heavens. A brilliant, silver-white Asgardian armor materialized over him, shimmering with divine energy.
Updated Attributes: Strength: 900 (150 + 750) Intelligence: 150 Agility: 350 (150 + 200) Endurance: 800 (150 + 650) Soul Power: 150 Energy: 2200 (200 + 2000)
"Huh… interesting. The stats didn't stack perfectly?"
After inspecting the breakdown, Damon quickly understood. The Thunder God's Power wasn't purely derived from the weapon itself — it came from the divine essence channeled through Mjolnir.
That meant physical and spiritual limitations caused diminishing returns. The boosts weren't linear — at least, not until he reached another threshold where quantity triggered a new qualitative leap.
Even so, the results were spectacular. Right now, Damon could stand toe-to-toe with Odin himself — and not just survive, but fight back.
Coulson and his men, ordinary humans, couldn't quite sense the change. But Loki — a sorcerer born of Asgard — felt every surge, every wave of godly pressure radiating from Damon.
It was suffocating.
That thunderous might… it even surpassed his brother Thor's divine aura.
"Impossible…" Loki muttered, face pale. "How can this mortal be stronger than Thor — when all he did was lift the hammer?"
Could Thor have been holding back all this time? No… impossible. Absolutely not.
"Midgardian! Return Mjolnir at once—"
Before he could finish, Damon's lightning-filled eyes snapped toward him. In the next instant, Damon blurred forward — covering ten meters in a flash — and backhanded Loki across the face.
The slap sent the so-called "King of Asgard" flying like a rag doll, crashing straight through the temporary S.H.I.E.L.D. base wall.
"Sorry, what was that? Didn't quite catch it." Damon's smile didn't reach his eyes.
"You… insolent wretch! Do you realize who you're dealing with?!" Loki roared, summoning twin daggers of enchanted steel.
He barely lifted his hand before Damon casually flicked his wrist — unleashing a bolt of thunder as thick as a man's arm.
The blast hurled Loki straight through another wall, smoke and dust filling the air.
A few moments later, Loki staggered to his feet, hair disheveled, pride in tatters.
"M-my apologies… I might've spoken a bit too loudly earlier. Please don't take offense…"
[Abnormal Entity 'Loki' defeated. Subject has submitted willingly. Recorded successfully. +1000 Abnormal Points.] [Map Editor upgraded to Version 2.9. Current Points: 600 / 2000.]
"As expected — defeating abnormal entities adds them to the system too," Damon noted with satisfaction. "Guess that means I should pick more fights from now on… beautiful ones in bed, the rest on the battlefield."
He chuckled darkly.
"Anyway… I'll give you one more chance to speak properly. Now — what is it you wanted to tell me?"
He patted Loki on the shoulder with mock gentleness.
Loki twitched but forced a weak smile.
"Well… Mjolnir is Asgard's greatest treasure — the royal weapon forged for my father, Odin, the true King of the Gods…"
"Hmm?" Damon raised an eyebrow.
Loki instantly changed tone.
"B-but of course, that was in the past! Odin's in the Odinsleep now, and I am the acting King of Asgard." "Since you have lifted Mjolnir, that makes you its rightful new master. Consider it… a symbol of friendship between Asgard and Midgard!"
Inwardly, Loki was dying of regret.
If he had known Earth harbored monsters like this, he'd never have come in person — he'd have sent the Destroyer Armor through projection instead.
"Good. Then I'll graciously accept your gift," Damon nodded approvingly.
With Loki's official acknowledgment, even Odin would find it hard to object. After all, with Odin asleep and Thor exiled, Loki was the legitimate ruler of Asgard at this moment.
And even if Odin did object—
Damon smirked, the thunder in his eyes flaring brighter.
"Well, I've got ten hammers now. What's he gonna do about it?"
