Based on the events of the canon, "Harry" decided that the best course of action was not to interfere with what Umbridge was doing, even though he disagreed with most of what the new professor DADA was doing. For example, pure theory. What distinguished Hogwarts from other Muggle schools was that practice was given greater priority here. Harry understood that while theory was useful, it was useless on its own, and therefore practice was necessary. But no, Defence Against the Dark Arts was taught only from textbooks and very rarely included practical lessons. And even when they did, the tasks they were given could be completed even by first-year students.

"Professor, how could you allow such an attitude towards your students?" Harry spoke to the headmaster calmly, but there was a hint of discontent in his tone. Dumbledore was the only person whose opinion carried weight at Hogwarts, and Harry hoped he could influence the headmaster.
"I don't see anything wrong with studying theory," Albus replied, shaking his head.
"But how will theory prepare us for the dangers that await us?" Harry asked a little louder, to which the headmaster responded with a loud exhalation and, adjusting his glasses, looked at him sternly.
"Harry, my boy," Albus began. "Dolores Umbridge is an important figure in the Ministry of Magic. To argue with her is to argue with the Minister himself. If they believe that this method of teaching is more productive, then that is how it is. "Since when has Hogwarts been subordinate to the Ministry? As far as I remember, the school has always been autonomous..."
Dumbledore just shrugged nervously. Harry wasn't stupid, and he could see that the headmaster wasn't happy with the whole situation. Albus folded his hands and placed them on the table, looking intently at his companion.
"These are not the best of times," Albus Dumbledore said, enunciating each word with particular clarity. "And my reputation, thanks to that idiot Fudge, could go down the drain. We can't let that happen, because if Voldemort realises that my word is losing its power, it will only play into his hands. We want to save this world, don't we?" The headmaster looked intently at the boy and, waiting for an affirmative nod, continued. "Sometimes we have to make concessions in order to preserve everything. But..."
Pausing for a moment, Albus looked thoughtful. In fact, there was some truth in his words, and Harry understood that perfectly well.
"After all, Harry, you're quite an experienced wizard, despite your age. And in the end... You're not really Harry, I'm sorry for my tactlessness. So, if you want, you can start a secret club where you and any other students who want to can join you, and you can train together.
Harry just grunted vaguely in response. He understood what the headmaster was getting at, and was actually quite happy to accept such an offer. Noticing the change in his expression, Albus nodded.
"If necessary, you can use my name. Tell them I gave you permission," Albus took a piece of parchment from behind the desk and signed it. Harry took it and looked at the name:
"Dumbledore's Army."

After telling his friends, Harry met with their approval. They had to act very carefully so that Umbridge wouldn't catch even the slightest hint of what the kids were up to...
Hermione found some people who agreed to join the adventure. Now the four of them were on their way to Hogsmeade, to a local pub where the first secret meeting would take place. Harry wasn't really sure that many people would agree to go with him. If anyone was there, there would be three or four people at most. Harry could see from his friend's face that she was hiding something, but Hermione never said what it was.
When he arrived at the bar, Harry was, to say the least, shocked. He thought there would be three or four people there. In reality, there were many more. Fifth-year students from all faculties except Slytherin were sitting and watching Harry Potter, who was nervously looking around.
"I'm sure you already know why we're here," Harry began. But one of the guys interrupted him with a highly inappropriate question.
"Is it true that He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named is back?"
"Harry" exhaled loudly. It was Nigel, a younger guy from his year...
"Yes, it's true," the boy replied quietly.
This was followed by a barrage of questions, which forced Harry and his friends to calm everyone down. As a result, all the boys took turns adding their names to Dumbledore's Army list.
It promised to be a fun start.
