Chapter 2 - 2

My first day at school was unexpectedly calm.In the original world, this situation would be like a girl suddenly transferring to a boys' school.I didn't think it would be so easy to get close to others.

Although I was being stared at as if I were prey, no one had directly approached me yet.It even felt like there was a strange atmosphere of mutual restraint — plenty of people wanted to talk, but couldn't find the right opportunity.

In this case, should I take the initiative to speak first? I thought calmly. If possible, I'd also like to live a life like in an erotic manga. But it's unthinkable to just go around having relationships one after another without a second thought.

They're all hungry wolves. No matter how I look, there must be many who would gladly pay any price to get me.Although my goal might be a harem, I still need to choose my partners carefully. Gossip can be troublesome.

In that case, the first target should be her.

I secretly looked at the female student sitting diagonally behind me.She had slender, intelligent eyes, a straight nose, cherry-colored lips, long black hair like a raven's wings, a model-like figure, and plump breasts that asserted their presence even through her uniform.

She was the main heroine of this erotic manga and the student council president of this school — Kirina Aishiteru.

A cold beauty with an idol's charm, as if she had stepped right out of a painting. If this were merely a world where chastity concepts were reversed, of course she would already have a lover. But since this world seems based on an erotic manga, Kirina should be a pure virgin with no romantic experience — it's part of the "setting," after all.

She seemed to notice my gaze and looked at me.However, the moment our eyes met, she immediately turned away. There wasn't a trace of disgust in her expression. On the contrary, I felt she was subtly trying not to meet my eyes.

That shy look reminded me of an innocent teenage boy, and I couldn't help but chuckle.Let's stop teasing her. I ignored the curious gazes behind me and decided to focus on class.

The situation changed during lunch break.

"Um… Rei-kun, right? Can I talk to you for a moment?"

The person who called out to me nervously was Kirina. I didn't expect her to take the initiative. The gazes around us were almost blinding. She seemed a bit flustered too, fiddling with the ends of her hair nervously — cute.

"Ah, you're Kirina-san. Please take care of me from now on. Did you need something?"I smiled, trying to keep my tone friendly and open.

Kirina visibly relaxed and replied in a deliberately calm tone, likely to avoid misunderstanding from the onlookers."Yes, likewise. I'm Kirina Aishiteru, the student council president. The teacher asked me to show you around the school — is that alright?"

She kept her tone businesslike, probably to avoid any gossip. That suited me just fine.

"Then, Kirina-san, if possible, could we go to the cafeteria first?""Yes, there will be a lot of people if we're late… Alright, let's go."

I walked toward the cafeteria with Kirina. The cafeteria was quite large, considering the school's size.We had just entered, but the crowd was already growing.

As expected, being the only boy here, I felt countless eyes piercing into me like arrows.Kirina looked slightly embarrassed — well, no wonder.

"So, Kirina-san, how do you usually handle lunch?""I usually eat here in the cafeteria. It's delicious and cheap.""Oh, I'm looking forward to it. Since I'm here, let's eat together.""Eh!? Ah, no—well… okay, if you don't mind."

I smiled and nodded. If I ate alone, the wolves would surely close in.

Kirina looked faintly pleased, though still a little nervous. We lined up to buy meal tickets. Then, a few girls who seemed to be her friends called out teasingly.

"Ah, Kirina! Getting close to the new transfer student so fast? You sure don't waste time!""Hey, stop it, Ellie. I'm just showing him around because the teacher asked.""Huh? But you're going to eat together, right?""Well… yeah, it'd be too pitiful to let him eat alone, wouldn't it? After all, he's surrounded by girls."

They all laughed playfully and left as quickly as they came.

"Haa… I'm sorry, Rei-kun. Girls like to gossip. If we eat together, people might start rumors.""No, I don't mind. Though, doesn't it bother you, Kirina-san?""Not really. This school is all girls except for you, so most of them are probably just excited to finally have a boy around."

I didn't ask if she was one of those excited people — I could tell from her reaction.

At the ticket machine, I asked, "Do you have any recommendations, Kirina-san?""Hmm… I like meat udon."

Oh, an unexpected but good choice. I'll have that too.

We both ordered meat udon and took our trays. Sitting quietly in the corner, we tried to avoid drawing attention.

I couldn't help but watch Kirina eat her noodles. The way a beautiful girl slurps udon… somehow looks incredibly alluring.

"U-um… if you keep staring like that, I can't eat," Kirina said, flustered.

I decided to tease her a little."Ah, sorry. It's just… you really are beautiful, Kirina-san.""Wha—!?"

She froze, her face flushing deep red. I chuckled softly. Maybe I went too far.

Kirina pouted, her face still red. "You can't just say something like that so suddenly! No one's ever told me that before…"Given her beauty, I found that hard to believe. But maybe she really hadn't heard it from a guy before.

I grinned and gently took her hand."Really? But look — your fingers are so slender and pretty.""Eh, ah, ah—!?"

Her face turned bright red, like a ripe apple.I lightly brushed her fingertips. "Though your fingertips are a bit rounded…""W-wait, what are you doing?""Ah, do you play piano or something?""Eh? Ah, yes… just a little.""I see. Piano suits you perfectly, Kirina-san. You really do have that refined, elegant vibe. If there's a chance, I'd love to hear you play sometime.""Eh… y-yes… if there's a chance…"

Surprised and embarrassed, she lowered her head, hiding the faint smile tugging at her lips. She probably didn't want me to notice how happy she was about that brief touch.

That shy, flustered expression — adorable enough to go with three bowls of rice.

Little devil move.

I murmured "Thank you for the meal" inwardly and picked up my udon again.Even though the noodles had gotten soggy, they tasted like the best I'd ever had.A gentle sweetness spread through my chest.

"Hey, to be honest… what do you think of the transfer student?"

As Kirina returned to class, she overheard that conversation. The subject of their gossip — Rei Ayato — was on his way to the restroom.Since this used to be an all-girls' school, the newly added men's restroom was only on the first floor.

Noticing Kirina's return, her friends rushed over.

"Ah, Kirina! How was showing the transfer student around? Did you ask if he has a girlfriend?""I-I just gave him a tour like the teacher said. How could I suddenly ask something like that?"

Kirina sighed. Of course, she didn't mention how she'd been flustered earlier.

Her best friend, Airi Sagami, grinned, holding up a pretend microphone like an interviewer."So how was he, Kirina? Be honest — your real impression!""Hmm… I think he's a good person. He's easy to talk to and doesn't seem intimidated by the situation."

Normally, surrounded by girls, a guy would shrink away. But he didn't seem that way at all.

Her friends became even more animated."Ah, I get it! That's because he's totally defenseless, right?""Yeah! He's so natural about everything — maybe he's just used to being around girls.""Even though his face is kinda plain.""Hmmm, but kinda hot, actually."

Kirina smiled bitterly, listening to their chatter. There wasn't a hint of restraint in their gossip.

But then the conversation took a surprising turn.

"But still… Rei-kun is kind of sexy.""Yeah! Like, seriously — there's this mysterious pheromone about him.""He's tall, his build is nice, and he doesn't care about people staring. It's kinda cool.""I don't know how to explain it, but… he's different from normal guys."

Kirina silently agreed. There was something different about him.

But she couldn't quite put it into words, so she turned to Ellie."What about you, Ellie? What's your impression of Rei-kun?""Hmm… he looks lonely," Ellie said."Lonely? Well, he is the only boy here. Feeling uneasy is natural.""No, I don't mean that kind of lonely… it's deeper than that. Like he's yearning for something."

Yearning…?

Kirina tilted her head. She hadn't felt that from him.

But Ellie had always been good at reading people.Even if she called it "just intuition," Kirina trusted her instincts completely. When Ellie said something about someone's heart, she was never wrong.

So — he feels lonely about something, longing for something. Before she realized it, Kirina had already begun thinking about how to satisfy that desire.
