Six down. Nine left. I kept a simple track in my head as I made my way through the place.
The many machines in the arcade worked as a perfect way to separate them all as I serenaded through the place. Everywhere, the arcade started breaking down. If Emily or Sebastian, who were the most attached to the arcade, saw this then they would probably have a heart attack. But things were nowhere near over.
Another of them found their way as I neared the back of the place. The horse-racing arcade game was next to us.
The man pulled a stance on me, holding his hands in front of his chest as he slowly nodded his head around.
"You are not bad," said he. "Come one, man-to-man."
He was literally twice my size, what man-to-man was this guy talking about? I lowered my stance, going down to his waist, and beckoned him over.
The man hopped ahead, careful, like a kickboxer. He slowly twisted his waist and raised a foot to hit me. I blocked the hit by twisting to my side and defending with both my hands. Without a second's delay, he swung his fist. I leaned back and barely avoided it, then came another, and I avoided this one too.
When I stepped back once more, the machine was behind me. There was no more escape.
The man grinned and shot a jab straight at me.
Instead of dodging, I turned my head down. The man hit the top of my helmet with a fast fist. It slightly shook me, but it must have broken a bone on his arm.
"ARGHH! AH!" The man screamed. Without wasting a second, I jumped up and grabbed the tie on his neck. The small string in hand, I pulled it down as much as I could as I took his weight on my shoulder.
A simple Judo move, by using his clothes to shift his body weight and his own momentum against him.
He choked and tilted forward. I used my entire back to lift the bottom of his body and smashed him behind me.
"Gwahh!" He fell right on the horses and drivers sticking out of the machine, one must have gone in his ass from the way he screamed.
This was why one shouldn't gamble. Who knew when it would take your ass.
Some others had reached in that much time. I quickly went back and loosened the boxer's tie from his neck. Then, I wrapped it slightly over one knuckle and held the other end in my grip.
I looked at the ones on the way, and ran to the side. They followed behind me. The place I dived into was the machine with a bull at the center that challenged one to stay on it. As I moved, I quickly hit the switch and jumped inside the ring.
The two bastards followed. And with them, the bull started moving.
"This damned!"
"Get him!"
They jumped over at me, the entire platform moved a little, I quickly placed the tie on the bull's horns and swung over to the other side. They followed and tried to grab me, but the fast shaking bull pushed one off. Without losing my grip on the bull, I kicked the first guy who fell in the nuts.
Behind me, the second swung a bat at my head. I leaned down just a little, and the bull leaned ahead too. At the same time, I kicked from the bull's back and flipped over to the ground.
"You!" The man behind dived from the back to the front, just as he did, I grabbed his hair and smashed his face in the bull.
"Gwah!" He yelped.
Then, I grabbed the tie and grabbed his neck with it, in no time, I tightly wound that man and the bull's neck together in a simple shoe-knot.
"Get back here—"
Good fighting.
Six left.
Next to the bull machine were the basketballs. Three more had found their way to me. I quickly grabbed all the balls and tossed them on the ground, the stepped back to another machine and grabbed more balls.
"You little!"
"That won't work!"
"Get back here—"
The next basketballs went straight to their faces. I threw them with all I had, in the very narrow space between the trap of machines on both sides there was little they could do.
"Tsk."
"Don't throw—"
One of them got hit by the ball, then stepped on a ball below and slipped down.
I was almost shocked. How did that actually work!?
While they were distracted by their fallen friend, I quickly threw another ball at their face and ran once more, to the turn!
"Wait right there!"
The last of them came running behind. He ran ahead of the turn, but I was waiting right at the corner. He tripped over my feet first, and then I kicked his head as he fell. Once, a second time for good measure. That much was enough, he was knocked out.
My sights were set for the last bit. I ran over to the hammer machine and grabbed the hammer.
As the sound of the hammer machine echoed, the last three of the 15 came… It was a bunch of familiar faces.
"Oh…" I slightly let out a voice.
"A-Akash! Finley! Get this bastard!"
"Everyone is down, Miles!"
"Get him!!"
Miles was the first one to run over at me. This was easy. I didn't even need to be worried. As soon as he came, I swung the hammer on his face.
Oh yeah.
Sebastian did say he wanted to hit them with the hammer. The time had come.
I grinned from behind the helmet and raised the hammer up.
"A-ah!" Miles yelped. No one was going to help~
Then began the last of it. Instead of being chased, this time I chased behind these three bastards and smashed the hammer on them every chance I could get. They were easy targets, and dropped to the ground, unconscious after just a few hits.
A sigh left me as I leaned down.
That's 15.
My eyes scanned around the place.
There were only pained groans ringing out alongside the chippy songs of all the machines and the sounds of the games.
There was one more.
Slowly, walking in tow with the Dance Dance Revolution Machines, stepped up the one who had been at the front.
"What in the world are you?" Asked Adrian as he held a knife in front of him. "It's like you have no processing time. Some kind of military thing? No, fuck. I have never seen anything like this."
I almost whistled out loud.
He had hit the nail on the head.
"Fuck…" Adrian groaned, he didn't seem to think he could win. Of course, I had already thrashed him once.
I raised my hands in a stance, similar to the one the boxer had used. Slowly, I beckoned Adrian over.
He rushed at me.
The man swung his knife. In an instant, I turned my head to the side and rushed in. I hit the knife hand with the back of my hand, and at the same time, smashed a fist into his throat.
"Kuh!"
Before he could even reel back from the pain, I grabbed the hand with the knife and twisted it out of his hands. The knife fell, and in, slick motion, I place one arm below his elbow and yanked his wrist down with the other.
—SNAP!
His arm broke.
Adrian fell to the ground.
16.
All out.
