~Crystal's POV~
The moment I stepped inside, my shoulders loosened. This was my kind of space.
"Crystal!"
I turned just in time to catch Joan as she hurried toward me, flawless as ever in a silk wrap dress and oversized sunglasses. We hugged, exchanging quick pecks on each other's cheeks.
"God, you look amazing," she said, pulling back. "I swear, stress avoids you."
I smiled thinly. "It knows better."
We were led into the private treatment room, where plush robes waited and the scent of warm oils filled the room. As attendants moved quietly around us, Joan settled onto the lounge beside mine, eyes bright with curiosity.
"So," she began casually, "tell me about the new movie. Over the Stars, right? Please don't tell me you finally landed the female lead and didn't call me first."
I scoffed before I could stop myself. "I didn't get it."
Joan frowned as though she did not hear me clearly. "What? Crystal, that role was practically written for you."
