Takuma stood in the forest, still holding the sword. The stars above shined clearly now, and the air calmed down. He took a deep breath and looked down at the weapon in his hands.
The metal was bright and smooth, glowing softly white in the dark. The black handle was wrapped in cloth, and even though the sword looked heavy, it felt easy to hold. Takuma tried moving it slowly. When he swung it, the air itself seemed to shake, and the ground shook a little also.
He swallowed. "I can't believe this is real…"
Takuma turned and looked around the woods. Then he held the sword with both hands and lifted it above his head. Then he ran forward.
The sword still felt light, even when he swung it. Every movement was smooth, and he felt stronger than ever before. He jumped, and the height surprised him—he could reach branches he had never been able to touch.
Takuma's eyes got big.
"This is Awesome!" he yelled.
He swung the sword again, harder this time. The tip sliced through a fallen branch on the ground like it was paper. He stopped and looked at the blade. The white light from the metal seemed to shine brighter every time he moved.
He knew this sword was not normal. He didn't know why it had chosen him, or why the star had fallen here, but he could feel it inside him—a strong energy, waiting to be used.
Takuma took a deep breath. "I have to learn how to control this… I have to get stronger."
He ran through the forest, testing his speed and jumps, swinging the sword at fallen branches and rocks. Every hit was perfect. The sword was sharp, and the power inside him was real.
For the first time, Takuma felt something he had never felt before: hope and strength all at once.
Above him, the stars twinkled. Somewhere far away, a presence watched the boy who had found the fallen star.
Takuma didn't know it yet, but the night was only the beginning. The world had already started to change, and soon, he would meet others like him—people with powers, people who had chosen to use them for good… and others who would use them for harm.
But for now, Takuma ran through the quiet woods, swinging the huge sword, feeling stronger than he ever had, ready to face whatever came next.
