POV: Third Person
While Kyo was preparing food to welcome Miu to his house, Miu wore a smile throughout the entire school day, startling her classmates, who had never seen her smile like that before. She looked like a completely different girl.
It was the first time she had ever shown such open happiness.
Something good had definitely happened!
The girl sitting next to her finally asked, "Miu, did something good happen?"
At first, she had only approached Miu to get closer to Kyo, but over time she had become genuinely interested in her. Miu had good taste and was actually pleasant to talk to, contrary to what everyone else in class believed.
"Hm? It's nothing," Miu replied. She had already forgiven the girl for using her to get closer to Kyo.
"Are you sure? I've never seen you smile this much before. Something good must have happened! Does it have something to do with what you told me? You said you were working on something really important or something like that."
Miu had been talking about her novel, but she had never actually said it was a novel.
She didn't want her classmates to find out that she was a writer, just like Kyo.
Her novel hadn't even gone on sale yet, and she had no idea how people would receive it.
If she told everyone she had written *Rewind* and it turned out to be a complete failure, she'd want to bury herself somewhere and never come out again.
"I'm not happy because of that... It's about Kyo."
The moment she heard Kyo's name, her friend's eyes widened.
'Don't tell me Kyo confessed to her or something... Is that even possible? Someone like her?'
Her thoughts were rude, but she didn't care.
"Don't tell me he..."
"He what?"
"He didn't confess to you, did he?"
"What?" Miu looked surprised. "Of course not."
Phew...
The girl let out a sigh of relief. 'I still have a chance.'
"It's just that he invited me over to his house," Miu said quietly so the others wouldn't hear.
"What!?"
She shouted in the middle of the classroom.
"Sit down right now! Where do you think you are?" the teacher yelled, clearly irritated. "If you do that again, I'll throw you out of my class!"
"I'm sorry."
She lowered her head respectfully and sat down.
The rest of the class burst into laughter, making her blush with embarrassment.
"Alright, that's enough. Pay attention to the lesson," the teacher said, still annoyed.
Miu looked at her friend.
"You should be more careful."
"Sorry... I was just really surprised. When did this happen?"
"Today. He texted me this morning and invited me over."
"What are you going to do there?"
"Hmm... I'm not exactly sure. I think we'll watch a TV series or play video games."
"I see... Can I come with you?"
Miu couldn't believe she had the nerve to ask.
Her answer was simple.
"No way."

When classes ended, Miu left the classroom and walked outside the school.
She took out her phone and, feeling nervous, called her mother. After a while, her mother answered.
"Hello? What is it, Miu? I'm busy right now. I have a lot of work to do."
"I wanted to ask if I could go to a friend's house."
"A friend's house? What friend? You have friends?"
"Yes, I do. He invited me over."
Without thinking, Miu accidentally revealed that it was a boy's house.
Immediately, her mother shouted through the phone.
"He? He? You're thinking about going to the house of some boy I don't even know? Absolutely not! You're not going. Where are you right now? I'm coming to pick you up myself!"
"Mom, it's Aoi Haruki. Don't you know him?"
"Aoi Haruki? That author?"
"Yes. My classmate. I've told you about him before, haven't I? We've been friends for a long time. He won't do anything to me. Besides, his mother is home. We're just going to eat and play games together."
"Are you sure?"
Since Miu's mother knew Kyo Evans—or rather, Aoi Haruki—she immediately began to calm down.
Despite what Miu believed, her mother cared deeply about her.
"I am. When I get there, I can ask his mother to call you."
"Alright. Do that. I want to talk to her."
"Okay."
Miu let out a sigh of relief.
After exchanging a few more words, she hung up and sent Kyo a message letting him know she was on her way.
[I just left school. Can you send me your address? I'll take the subway or a taxi.]
Kyo replied almost immediately.
[Don't worry. My driver is already on his way to pick you up.]
"His driver?"
Miu looked surprised and suddenly started feeling nervous.
A little while later, a luxurious black car pulled up.
The driver's door opened, and a tall, muscular man in a suit stepped out.
It was Daiki, wearing his usual serious expression.
However, the moment he saw Miu, his expression softened.
"Mr. Kyo asked me to pick you up and take you to his house."
He opened the rear door for her.
"Please, get in. We'll be there in about twenty minutes."
"Ah... okay."
Unable to look Daiki in the eyes, Miu quietly got into the car.
The car pulled away.
She remained silent for the entire ride. Daiki's imposing appearance intimidated her.
Halfway through the trip, he finally spoke.
"Are you nervous?"
"A little."
"I see. You don't have to be nervous. I'm not going to do anything to you."
Daiki laughed loudly.
Miu felt guilty for having thought he might.
Eventually, the car came to a stop.
As Miu opened the door, Daiki said,
"This is Mr. Kyo's house. He asked you to send him a message as soon as you reach the front door."
"Alright. Thank you, Daiki."
"You're welcome. I hope you two have a great time."
With that, Daiki drove away.
Miu looked up at the enormous mansion standing before her.
'Kyo really is incredibly rich...'
She smiled bitterly.
