Chapter 143 - Chapter 143: Feng Yue’s Plan

Chapter 143: Feng Yue's Plan (1/2)

After Xu Mu left, he used his perception to check the surroundings and discovered that Li Zizai wasn't following him anymore—instead, he had gone toward that residential complex.

Clearly, he was looking for Dai Xingluo.

With his hands in his pockets, Xu Mu walked leisurely toward his car.

Today's task was considered complete. From what he had sensed earlier, Dai Xingluo's Favorability toward him had increased quite a bit.

A pleasant encounter, all in all.

Just as he got into the car and started driving away, a young man wearing a baseball cap happened to pass by.

Xu Mu might have forgotten this person, but the young man remembered him clearly.

He was the same technician who had installed the router at Xu Mu's villa before.

Watching Xu Mu drive away, the young man took out his phone and made a call.

Moments later, a voice came through the receiver—it was Lin Yan.

"What is it?"

"Boss, guess who I just saw—Xu Mu. He's appeared in Yang City," the young man said with a faint grin.

As he was making the call, two people walked past him.

The sight of the elegant, traditional beauty made him instinctively take a few extra glances.

Those two were none other than Dai Xingluo and Li Zizai.

They entered the antique market and returned to the shop.

Dai Xingluo lay on the lounge chair, placing the bronze shard Xu Mu had given her on the nearby table.

Li Zizai held it in his hand, his eyes full of shock.

"It really is a Profound-Rank cultivation technique! We've struck gold this time!"

Dai Xingluo didn't respond. Her lips curved slightly as she continued gazing at the jade pendant in her hand.

"Miss, what are you thinking about?" Li Zizai asked when he noticed her distracted expression.

"Oh, I was wondering—why would he give such a precious thing to me?"

Dai Xingluo smiled faintly as she looked at him.

"Isn't it obvious? Normal people wouldn't even recognize the value of a Profound-Rank technique," Li Zizai said, waving his hand.

"He knew. He even told me himself it was a Profound-Rank technique."

Still smiling, Dai Xingluo leaned back again, staring at the pendant. "He's really… interesting."

Xu Mu's business in Yang City was almost done, and he was preparing to return to Jiang City.

From what he knew of Chen Cai, this woman probably wouldn't obediently do what he wanted.

Her ambitions were too big.

But aside from the blackmail video, Xu Mu also held another leverage over her—her son, Feng Jian.

As Chen Cai's only child, she was fiercely protective of him.

The antidote Xu Mu had created could only restore Feng Jian's body for a few hours at a time.

After getting a taste of recovery, Feng Jian would become completely dependent on him.

With that leverage, Chen Cai would have no choice but to cooperate.

Just as Xu Mu was about to leave Yang City, he received a call from Feng Yue.

"Brother Xu, I've finished the preparations on my end. The company's already been registered."

Her voice carried a soft, seductive tone.

"How do you plan to sell the product? If you need to advertise, I can fund it," Xu Mu said.

"No need for advertising. I have my own method," Feng Yue replied. "It's inconvenient to explain over the phone. I'll come find you and discuss it in detail."

"I'm in Yang City right now," Xu Mu said.

"Really? Then I'll send you the address. You won't blame me for asking you to come over this time, will you?"

Her tone turned pitifully sweet.

"Cut the nonsense. Send it quickly."

Xu Mu hung up after speaking.

A moment later, Feng Yue sent the location. Xu Mu followed the map to the area she mentioned.

It was a suburban location—small-scale factories surrounded the place.

When Xu Mu arrived, Feng Yue was already waiting at the gate. She wore casual clothes, her hair tied in a ponytail, sunglasses on her face.

When she saw Xu Mu's car, she smiled and waved.

Xu Mu parked beside her, and Feng Yue immediately slid into the passenger seat.

Whether intentional or not, she seated herself with a slow, deliberate motion—her tight pants outlining a perfect curve.

She fastened her seatbelt and smiled as she shut the door.

"I thought you were going to take me to tour the factory," Xu Mu said, glancing at her.

"What's there to see in a factory? It's in the suburbs; the land's cheap, that's all," Feng Yue replied, removing her sunglasses and placing them in her bag.

"Why pick this place?" Xu Mu asked curiously. "You do realize the more remote an area is, the more dangerous it gets?"

"Drive forward a bit—you'll see why."

Feng Yue's charming eyes curved like crescent moons as she spoke.

Xu Mu was puzzled but followed her directions.

When he saw a few people in black sanitation uniforms patrolling the road ahead, he immediately understood.

"Brother Xu, as an ancient martial artist, you probably recognize this place, right?" Feng Yue asked with a sly smile.

"The Sanitation Bureau."

Xu Mu's expression remained calm as he looked at the cleaners in the distance—most dressed entirely in black.

According to the plot, these people were mostly Internal Force users—grunts who handled odd jobs but knew some martial arts.

A few had a white stripe on their uniform, marking them as junior cleaners.

He didn't see any intermediate, let alone senior, cleaners.

"My company's right next door to the Sanitation Bureau," Feng Yue said with a grin. "Now do you see why I chose this spot?"

Xu Mu nodded inwardly. Smart move.

If someone like Lin Yan tried to capture her here, it would be like slapping the Sanitation Bureau in the face.

"How do you plan to sell this Beauty Pill?" Xu Mu asked.

"To be honest, I've been in the beauty business in Yang City for years," Feng Yue said, looking out the window with a smile. "I started with beauty salons. I know plenty of wealthy ladies—many of them my close friends. I just need to casually promote it among them."

She had already tested the pill—and it was astonishing.

A young woman with severe acne took one pill, and overnight half of it had vanished.

After two or three doses, her skin was completely clear.

If it was just a pimple from staying up late or heatiness, one pill could erase it in two hours.

Feng Yue knew what that meant.

Even if ordinary people didn't buy it, actresses absolutely would.

If they got a pimple the day before filming or a show—especially on the nose—they'd panic.

A large blemish couldn't be covered with makeup and could easily become viral fodder for haters.

But with this pill, the pimple would vanish in two hours.

Feng Yue could already see the future—soon, every celebrity would carry one with them wherever they went.

"Alright then, I won't bother with advertising," Xu Mu said, nodding slightly. "Where do you want to go? I'll drive you home."

"Ah…" Feng Yue sighed softly.

"What's wrong?" Xu Mu glanced at her.

"Even though you're helping me deal with the Feng family, technically I'm working for you now, right?"

Her tone turned teasing, her eyes soft and misty. "Yet every time you send me home, you never reward me."

"Reward? I'm driving—what are you trying to pull now, a little weapon dance?"

Xu Mu immediately steered into the slow lane and reduced speed.
