Chapter 183 - Chapter 183: Feng Kang’s Rage Overwhelms His Body

Feng Yue was filled with despair — she could barely accept what she was seeing.

Was this really the truth of the world?

Those who kill and scheme get rewarded with golden belts, while the good die young and villains live a thousand years?

Feng Kang had committed so many vile deeds, yet here he was — gaining investment from the Russell family, and even recruiting ancient martial artists to his side.

Would she ever be able to avenge her mother within this lifetime?

Her eyes turned to Xu Mu, who was calmly smiling. The martial technique the ancient warrior had just displayed — Xu Mu could do that too.

Maybe… following him was her only chance for hope.

Meanwhile, Xu Shou sat comfortably, nibbling on desserts as if nothing in the world could bother him.

By contrast, Xu Ningbing's expression was grim.

It was obvious — the Feng family planned to unite all the major Yang City enterprises against the Xu Group.

They were going to be targeted at every turn from now on.

She glanced at her father, only to see him sipping red wine, still smiling.

Then she sneaked a look at Xu Mu — he, too, was laughing and chatting casually.

Xu Ningbing was stunned. Were these two fools not aware that the Fengs were about to crush them?

Why did they both look so relaxed?

Later, Xu Mu led Feng Jian to a quiet corner of the manor's garden.

"Brother Feng," Xu Mu said casually, "looks like your family plans to destroy my Xu family."

"I don't see it that way," Feng Jian replied honestly. Xu Mu could die — but not before curing him.

Even if the Feng family became a hidden clan, he couldn't feel happy about it.

After all, what mattered most to a man in this world?

Wealth? Beauty?

For him, beauty ranked higher than money.

After all, what was the point of riches if you couldn't enjoy women?

Family power meant nothing if you couldn't play.

"Brother Feng," Xu Mu suddenly asked, "do you hate Dai Xiao?"

"Of course I do! That bastard's too arrogant. I used to fear him, but now I'm not scared at all!"

Feng Jian's face twisted with anger.

Dai Xiao's temper was notorious — he didn't give anyone face. Once, he'd even slapped Feng Jian across the face in public.

That humiliation would never fade.

"I have some dirt on Dai Xiao," Xu Mu said softly. "But exposing it will also shame the Feng family."

He slipped a USB drive into Feng Jian's hand. "If you play the video on this, I'll ask the old divine doctor to give you two more pills."

Feng Jian's eyes lit up immediately, though his voice lowered in suspicion. "It won't involve me, right?"

After all, he'd done some wild things with Dai Xiao before.

"I swear it has nothing to do with you," Xu Mu said calmly.

"Good. That's all I needed to hear!"

Without hesitation, Feng Jian agreed.

He didn't care about the family's honor — as long as he got what he wanted.

He gripped the USB and strode off.

Xu Mu returned to his seat as though nothing had happened.

Feng Yue glanced at him curiously. She couldn't tell what Xu Mu and Feng Jian had plotted, but at this point, she had already staked her future on Xu Mu.

Whatever he did, she would support him.

Onstage, Feng Kang continued speaking proudly, microphone in hand, as a video played on the massive screen behind him — a glossy documentary about the Feng family's rise to power.

He looked down at the audience, satisfied. Their eyes held respect, even awe.

Especially Dai Xiao and Ren Fuhai, both from hidden clans — even they now regarded him differently.

He was grateful. Grateful that he'd chosen to oppose the Xu family, which had brought him into contact with Lin Yan — and through Lin Yan, the mighty Russell family.

Feng Kang was in high spirits — until the screen suddenly flickered and went dark.

A second later, new footage appeared.

"Quick, hurry! Feng Kang's coming!"

"I see him, I see him. That's exactly what I'm waiting for!"

The speakers broadcasted the voices clearly — a man and a woman.

Then came the man's voice again, rough and teasing:

"Who's better, me or Feng Kang?"

The woman's breathy reply made the entire hall freeze.

"Of course you! Feng Kang's not even a tenth of a man like you!"

A collective gasp rippled through the crowd.

The camera angle was from behind — the faces weren't visible — but Feng Kang could never mistake those voices.

That was his study, his wife, and Dai Xiao.

The room fell dead silent.

A moment later, the video showed Dai Xiao closing the door, both of them hastily straightening their clothes.

Chen Cai opened the window for ventilation, then sat down gracefully, pretending nothing had happened.

Dai Xiao flipped open a random book.

And right then, the study door opened — Feng Kang entered.

Cut to black.

Then, another clip — Chen Cai kneeling behind the door, her mouth moving rapidly, a scene too obscene to describe.

Watching the footage, Feng Kang felt his world collapse.

His face twisted in fury, blood surging violently through his chest.

His vision darkened — he staggered and nearly fell.

Behind the stage, Feng Jian was watching the playback on the control monitor.

His rage exploded. He slammed his fist onto the desk.

She had the nerve to lecture him about staying away from women, yet she'd been cheating in their own house?!

And so proactively!

His humiliation burned like acid. As a man, his loyalty lay with his father — and his father had been utterly betrayed.

The thought made him sick.

As for Dai Xiao — that scum deserved to die a thousand times. No wonder he'd been looking at him so strangely all this time.

Feng Jian's shame turned to hatred.

Other men might curse another's mother out of spite, but Dai Xiao had gone and done it for real.

Feng Rui Li stared at the screen as well, his eyes cold and murderous — but his body's reaction betrayed a flash of excitement.

So that's my stepmother… didn't know she had it in her.

Chen Cai herself was paralyzed.

Her mind blanked, unable to process what was happening.

No matter how thick her skin, being publicly exposed in front of hundreds of people — she wanted to die on the spot.

Her face twisted grotesquely as she turned, eyes locking onto Xu Mu from afar.

It had to be him.

It was definitely him!

If this had happened before, Dai Xiao would've laughed it off — maybe even mocked Feng Kang: Your wife came to me first.

But this time was different.

Now that Feng Kang had a Gang Qi–level martial artist under his roof, Dai Xiao felt genuine fear.

If Feng Kang lost control, he might really kill someone.

Feng Yue, watching the entire scene unfold, couldn't hide her joy.

Seeing Chen Cai humiliated in public — it was the sweetest revenge imaginable.

She glanced secretly at Xu Mu.

She didn't know how he'd gotten the recording, but she was certain of one thing:

Xu Mu had truly avenged her.

Sitting beside Xu Mu, Nangong Yao was staring at him in awe.

Of course she knew who Chen Cai was — Feng Kang's wife — and she knew about her affair with the vile Dai Xiao.

That meant Chen Cai was evil too.

Xu Mu had seen her wickedness.

Nangong Yao couldn't, but at only seven or eight years old, she already had her own sense of justice.

She once met a powerful sage who radiated divine golden light.

That sage had told her she possessed a hidden strength and a limitless future.

Ever since, she'd dreamed of awakening the power to punish evil and uphold righteousness.

But deep down, she knew she hadn't awakened — her power was still sleeping.

Yet… could it be that Xu Mu had that power?

Nangong Yao gazed up at Xu Mu, eyes sparkling.

At that moment, she was certain — she had finally found her fated hero.
