Chapter 328 - Chapter 328 – Meng Wanyue Doesn’t Seem Qualified to Compete With Me

The other men grabbed nearby stools and hurled them at Meng Wanyue.

They hadn't expected this beauty to be so strong.

Seeing this, Meng Wanyue released Xu Mu and strode toward them.

Dai Xingluo, noticing, hoisted Xu Mu onto her back, intending to leave first.

Just then, a stool flew over and smacked Xu Mu squarely on the head.

Dai Xingluo's eyes went cold. She turned back and asked, "Who threw that?"

"Classical-beauty sis, nobody threw anything. Looks like the stool flew on its own," a short, chubby man leered. "Sweetheart, you're even more attractive when you're mad."

"Since no one's talking, then all of you threw it."

Dai Xingluo grabbed a metal skewer from the table and flicked it out.

Swish!

The skewer pierced the short, chubby man's calf. His grin froze wide-eyed, and he collapsed to the ground.

"Awooo!"

He screamed like a stuck pig.

Swish!

Dai Xingluo flicked another; a second man's calf was skewered, and he fell, howling.

"Still no one wants to admit it?"

Smiling kindly, she swept her gaze over the group and loosed a third skewer.

"It was him! The fat one!"

"Not me—him!"

The remaining men, terrified, all pointed at the burly guy Meng had kicked—he'd been the one who threw the stool. They trembled. What was with these two women? Each one was fiercer than the last.

Smiling, Dai Xingluo walked up to the fat man.

He blanched. "W-What are you doing?"

"What are you supposed to be? You dared hit my man in the head. If he ends up simple-minded, I'll be the one taking care of him. Speak! Which hand threw it?"

Her tone was calmly icy.

"I—I called the police," the fat man stammered, barely breathing.

"Not talking? Then both hands it is."

She split a handful of metal skewers in two and drove them straight through both his palms.

"Aaagh!"

He howled, tears spilling. Who would've thought once the two guys went down, the two women would be even tougher?

Suddenly, Dai Xingluo turned and saw Meng Wanyue tossing one man over her shoulder while running toward the car.

"Stop!"

Dai Xingluo sprinted after her.

But Meng Wanyue had already thrown Xu Mu and Chen Xuan into the back seat, jumped in, and sped off.

Dai Xingluo jumped into her own car and gave chase.

You had to hand it to an AMG—performance was no joke. After just two intersections, she forced Meng Wanyue's Escalade to a stop.

Both women got out. Sparks practically crackled between their eyes.

"Hand Brother over to me," Dai Xingluo said coldly.

"No. When we're away from home, I protect Manager Xu's body," Meng Wanyue replied evenly.

"Bullshit! You're planning to sneak him into a hotel and cook the rice while it's raw, aren't you?" Dai Xingluo's gaze seemed to see through everything. "Then you'll use the child to threaten Ye Tong so you can marry in."

"You're full of it! That's your plan, isn't it?"

Meng Wanyue scowled. She had underestimated Dai Xingluo. She'd thought at worst the girl would cop a feel—she hadn't expected a whole chain of schemes.

With righteous fury, she said, "I'm taking Manager Xu home."

"What about Chen Xuan in the car?" Dai Xingluo asked.

"This…" Meng Wanyue hesitated. "I'll just book him a room."

"How about this," Dai Xingluo pointed at the hotel beside them, "we all get a room and sleep. We'll talk tomorrow."

Meng Wanyue nodded. That worked; it was already late.

They drove to the hotel. Dai Xingluo booked two rooms.

Thinking it over, Meng Wanyue decided this was best—Xu Mu and Chen Xuan could share one room. She'd share with Dai Xingluo to keep an eye on her and prevent any "night raids."

They took the elevator up; the two rooms were next to each other.

After dropping Chen Xuan in one room, Dai Xingluo helped Xu Mu into the other.

"Where are you going?" Meng Wanyue asked.

"Obviously, I'm sleeping in the other bed with Brother," Dai Xingluo said without thinking.

"In your dreams!"

Meng Wanyue grabbed Xu Mu's arm again. They tugged back and forth, then each backed off a step.

In the other room, Dai Xingluo, Meng Wanyue, and Xu Mu were together. It was a twin room with two beds.

They laid Xu Mu on one, exhaling in relief.

"Ugh, I was fine in the ruins, but now that my body's relaxed, I'm exhausted," Dai Xingluo said, stretching. Even in Hanfu, her figure's curves showed. "You shower first, then I'll go."

"No! You'll try something while I'm in the shower," Meng Wanyue said warily. She had zero trust—this woman had no shame.

"Then I'll go first, okay?"

Dai Xingluo unfastened her Hanfu.

"No. We'll shower together," Meng Wanyue said. If Dai went alone, that'd give her time alone with Xu Mu afterward—unacceptable. She had to guard against her.

"Together, then," Dai Xingluo said, too tired to argue—she wanted a shower and sleep.

They undressed at the same time and went into the bathroom, closing the door.

"Ahh, no wonder Brother doesn't like you. Men like my kind of big. With what you've got, Brother won't even be full, let alone future kids," Dai Xingluo's voice drifted out.

"You're not that much bigger than me," Meng Wanyue replied calmly. "I'm above the Dragon Nation average."

"Heh. Laughable. Sorry—not sorry. Standing before you is a 36D," Dai Xingluo said with full confidence.

She suddenly felt that Meng Wanyue didn't seem qualified to compete with her.

After showering, they argued again about where to sleep, then decided to push the two beds together. Lying left and right, they closed their eyes and drifted off.

Xu Mu frowned and shifted slightly.

He'd underestimated the wine—it was made from heavenly materials, basically the same as ingesting them directly. The fermented aroma still clung to his mouth, thick and heady.

Then his body jolted.

Something was off. Why was there… a milky fragrance mixed in?

He snapped his eyes open and found his face nestled in Dai Xingluo's embrace.

"What the…?"

He was dazed. Had she tried to take advantage while he slept?

He turned gently—and escaped one "thunder mountain" only to run into another. Meng Wanyue was on the opposite side.

He carefully rolled onto his back, facing up. Perhaps that small movement made both women inch closer toward him.

Now his head felt clamped from both sides by four hooks—he couldn't move at all.

"This is stronger than any formation," he thought.

"Brother…" came Dai Xingluo's sleepy murmur.
