Chapter 336: The New School Year
In the blink of an eye, two days had quietly slipped away, and the Hogwarts holiday was completely over.
Early in the morning on September 1st, Harry, Ron, Fred, and others arrived at King's Cross Station, starting their new term journey from Platform 9 3/4.
Inside an empty compartment on the train, Harry and the others successfully met up with Hermione. After settling their owls, they sat down and started chatting.
"You seem to be in a bad mood. Is it because I didn't let you copy my homework?" Hermione sat by the window, looking at the beautiful scenery outside, feeling exceptionally happy. When she saw the two people opposite her with a strange, dazed look, a puzzled expression appeared on her face.
"What?" Harry jolted, and after reacting, he quickly waved his hand, "No, Professor Aisen already talked to us. There was indeed a bit more homework, we just didn't finish it! Right, Ron?"
"Ah? Oh! Yes, it has nothing to do with you, Hermione!" Seeing Harry's explanation, Ron also nodded in agreement.
"Then what's wrong with you?" Hermione widened her eyes. "You seem strange. After entering the compartment, you haven't said much, looking completely out of it! Did something happen?"
"Uh—, well, it's Sirius Black. He's leaving Hogwarts, and we don't know who will be our Professor of Conquering Dark Magic next." Harry's eyes darted around, and he brought up the matter.
"I know about this. Professor Aisen told me." Hermionesaid, giving them a suspicious look. "Is that why you're like this?"
"Well, alright, this matter has to be said anyway!" The two exchanged glances. Ron reached out and patted Harry on the shoulder, giving Hermione an awkward smile.
"What did you do?" Hermione looked at the two in surprise.
"Yesterday, we tried something from Weasley's Wizard Wheezes, and then Apparated directly back to The Burrow!" Harry said, seemingly a bit scared after the fact, and his tone of voice also seemed a little dazed.
Hermione's expression froze for a moment. A moment later, as if she had realized something, she couldn't help but exclaim, "You... you're really too daring! Apparating such a long distance, how could you dare? What if you Splinched—"
"Alright, alright, Hermione, don't shout!" Ron waved his hands frantically.
"We were indeed impulsive at the time, but luckily we succeeded, didn't we?" As Harry spoke, he seemed to calm down.
"I hope you'll think about the consequences more when you do things in the future. It's a good thing nothing happened to you, otherwise, Professor Aisen would definitely be held accountable by the school and the Ministry of Magic!" A hint of indignation showed on Hermione's face. "You should know that Professor Aisentaught us the Apparition Charm by breaking the rules—"
"Of course, we thought so too!" Harry nodded vigorously, looked at Ron beside him, and the two exchanged glances, both seeing the look of relief in the other's eyes.
"Hermione, do you think we should tell Professor Aisenabout this?" Ron felt a bit uneasy.
"Of course Professor Aisen needs to know!" Hermionerolled her eyes at the two of them irritably. "Are you afraid of being scolded by the Professor?"
"But, it's going to be our O.W.Ls year soon. If the Professor knows, will he give us even more homework?" Harry's face was conflicted.
"You also know that it's going to be our O.W.Ls year soon, so you'd better be quiet and not cause any more trouble in the coming time!" Hermione said, pouting.
"How are we causing trouble?" Ron looked at Harry, a depressed expression on his face.
Clang—
The compartment door was opened from the outside, and a head poked in.
Fred looked at the three people sitting inside the compartment and asked with a chuckle, "Want to play cards? Harry, Ron, come over!"
As he spoke, it seemed like someone pushed him from behind, and he darted into the compartment. "Come on, stop pushing, George!"
"Just kidding, are you ready?" George said. "Harry, coming? And you, Ron, we can use our latest product, Skiving Snackboxes, as stakes, how about it?"
"Come on, what's the use of that stuff?" Ron said, looking at Fred and George with a disdainful tone.
"Hey! Don't underestimate this stuff, it's very useful!" Seeing Ron's attitude, Fred's expression immediately changed.
"That's right, you're going into your fifth year soon. By then, you might even be begging us for Skiving Snackboxes!" George closed the compartment door tightly, then put on a 'you're about to get a great deal' look.
"Why does starting fifth year mean we'll need Skiving Snackboxes?" Hermione, who had just taken out 'Advanced Rune Translation' and was about to read it, couldn't help but ask when she heard this.
After exchanging glances, Harry and Ron also looked at Fred and George with puzzled expressions.
"Fifth year is the O.W.Ls year!" Fred spread his hands.
"Of course we know. Professor Aisen told us long ago, but what does that have to do with anything?"
"Hehe! That means you'll be dealing with endless exams, right? The Professors will assign homework like crazy, and it will be like a grindstone rubbing hard at your noses, wearing the skin right off the tip!" Fred twisted his waist and turned around a few times, saying in a gloating tone.
"For the O.W.Ls, half the students in our year had a few minor issues, you must have heard." George took over, speaking with interest. "Crying and wiping tears, throwing tantrums, and so on. And Patricia Stimpson, who just took her O.W.Ls last year, kept fainting!"
"Also, Kenneth Towler was covered in boils, right?" Fredsaid with a smile on his face.
"Wasn't that because you put Bulbadox Powder in his pyjamas?" George turned his head and said.
"Oh, right, I almost forgot, but sometimes some things are just hard to remember clearly, aren't they?" Fred reached up and rubbed his head.
"All in all, fifth year is truly a nightmarish year." Georgesaid, the corners of his mouth turning up. "If you want to escape this nightmarish situation, then you absolutely cannot miss Skiving Snackboxes!"
"Yes, if you're not too concerned about your exam results, then eating one in class can make your body look not so comfortable—" Fred said, winking at them.
"What do you mean by 'not so comfortable'?" Ron asked, looking at Fred in surprise.
"Hey, it can cause things like fainting, nosebleeds, fever, and so on. Just think, once something like that happens, you can legitimately go to the hospital to rest!" Georgepatted Ron hard on the shoulder.
"This, seems pretty cool?" Ron's eyes lit up. He glanced at Harry next to him and muttered softly.
"Isn't this cheating the Professors? Besides, Ron, don't forget you've become a Prefect!" Hermione's eyes widened as she looked at the twin brothers, then she shouted at Ron, her face showing it.
"Ah—yes, that's right, this is practically cheating the Professors, it's terrible!" Ron replied casually, but his expression seemed a little awkward.
Speaking of which, he had also only received the letter from Hogwarts yesterday, informing him that he had become a new Prefect. They had mentioned this when they last corresponded with Hermione yesterday. He knew that Hermione had also become a Prefect.
However, now that they were talking about skipping class, and Hermione suddenly brought this up, he felt very awkward.
He immediately stood up, pulled Harry's arm, and gave Fred and George a look. "Let's go, let's play cards. It's been a while, let's all go together!"
"That's right, let's go!" The twin brothers stepped forward, pulled Ron and Harry, opened the compartment door, and noisily left.
In just a moment, only Hermione was left in the entire compartment.
"Hmph—"
Seeing Harry and Ron leave with the twin brothers, Hermione naturally knew why. She immediately let out a cold snort, then directly opened 'Advanced Rune Translation' and started reading by herself.
The Hogwarts Express chugged along the tracks, passing through villages and towns, steadily approaching Hogwarts.
...
Meanwhile, inside the Hogwarts Castle.
Aisen, who had been busy with his own matters since getting up early in the morning, suddenly received a summons from Dumbledore at this time, asking him to go to the Headmaster's office.
Walking out of his office, climbing the stairs, and moving quietly through the corridor, Aisen's thoughts raced, wondering why Dumbledore suddenly wanted to see him.
Could it be about the position of Professor of Conquering Dark Magic?
As this thought emerged from Aisen's mind, he shook his head and directly dismissed it.
After all, although the Conquering Dark Magic class replaced the Defense Against the Dark Arts class, it was not 100% certain whether the curse on it had been bypassed.
Therefore, for safety reasons, Dumbledore probably wouldn't let any Witch who had held the position of Professor of Dark Arts or Professor of Conquering Dark Magic continue in that role indefinitely.
Furthermore, Aisen was just an Astronomy Professor; the position of Conquering Dark Magic Professor would definitely not fall to him.
So, did Dumbledore need him for something? Could it be that he had already found Voldemort's whereabouts?
Thinking of this, Aisen subtly shook his head.
He remembered the last time he cooperated with Dumbledore, using Rita Skeeter to cast the bait, he had also left a memory body on the Philosopher's Stonefragment.
At the time, Aisen thought that if Voldemort obtained the Philosopher's Stone fragment and began to touch it with his own magic, he would be able to directly manifest the memory body and pinpoint the other party's location.
But what he didn't expect was that from the moment Dumbledore told him he had already had a face-to-face encounter with Voldemort until now, Aisen hadn't felt the method on the Philosopher's Stone fragment being triggered.
It was as if Voldemort had taken the Philosopher's Stonefragment and had been holding back from acting ever since.
Regarding this, Aisen had a few guesses.
Either Voldemort had seen through Dumbledore's methods and temporarily stored the Philosopher's Stonefragment after getting his hands on it, or Voldemort had accidentally lost the Philosopher's Stone fragment.
Aisen thought the first possibility was high.
When he got his hands on the Philosopher's Stonefragment, he vaguely felt the power within it, and there were traces of Dumbledore having tampered with it. If Voldemort also saw through this, then he would likely have to ensure he could break the 'trap' on it before using it.
Aisen thought the second possibility was very low.
He learned from Dumbledore that although the horcruxes Voldemort made after his resurrection were gone, the other party had also successfully escaped from Dumbledore.
Thus, for Voldemort, how could the Philosopher's Stonefragment that he had finally obtained be accidentally lost?
Uh, well, after guessing wildly, Aisen didn't know what to say.
Arriving outside the office, after saying the password, he pushed the door open and walked straight in.
After walking in, Aisen was surprised to find that quite a few people were already sitting in Dumbledore's office at that moment.
Dumbledore sat calmly behind the desk, his arms resting on the surface, fingers intertwined, quietly waiting for something.
To the right of the desk, Professor McGonagall, Professor Snape, Professor Flitwick, and Professor Sprout were each sitting on a chair, their expressions appearing slightly serious.
The portraits of previous Headmasters hanging on the wall, having seemingly learned something in advance, had all closed their eyes, as if asleep.
After closing the large door behind him, Aisen noticed a smile appear on Dumbledore's face.
"Is this for some kind of meeting?" As he spoke, Aisencame to the stairs on the left, leaned against the railing, and after looking around, fixed his gaze on Dumbledore.
"Yes, there's something. Take a look at this!" Dumbledoresaid with a smile, took out his wand, and waved it. A newspaper rose from the corner of the desk and slowly flew towards Aisen.
Looking at the Professors and seeing that their expressions hadn't changed, Aisen nodded slightly, took the newspaper in his hand, and began to read it.
Scanning the words on the newspaper, Aisen's brow furrowed slightly and then relaxed. A moment later, he closed the newspaper and placed it on the desk: "Hogwarts will restart the exchange student program? Is that what the Headmaster wants?"
"What do you think?" Dumbledore tapped with his wand, and the newspaper automatically folded itself.
"That's great!" Aisen shrugged. "After the exchange student program starts, students can learn advanced knowledge from other international schools, broaden their horizons, strengthen ties between schools, and so on. There are actually quite a few benefits—"
"Aisen, I must remind you, Hogwarts is the best magicschool in the world!" Snape's cold voice suddenly rang out.
Hiss—
Hearing Snape's words so suddenly, Aisen immediately took a sharp breath.
Although Snape's tone was calm, Aisen heard a clear sense of arrogance in it.
Clearly, the other party believed that Hogwarts was the best magic school in the world, so starting an exchange student program wouldn't bring more benefits to Hogwarts.
"I grudgingly agree with Severus's point of view, but I still believe that only through exchange can we continue to progress!" After a moment of silence, Aisen said calmly.
"Aisen is right, restarting the exchange student program is a good thing for Hogwarts!" Professor Flitwick said with a chuckle from the side.
"I heard the owner of the Leaky Cauldron say that Hogwarts used to have an exchange student program?" Aisen reached up and rubbed his chin, showing a thoughtful expression.
"Ah—, yes, that's right. Unfortunately, because the related fees were too expensive, many qualified students gave up on applying," Dumbledore said with a tone of regret.
"So, with the restart of the exchange student program this time, have the issues with the related fees been resolved?" Aisen looked at Dumbledore in surprise.
"Yes, after our communication and negotiation, the related fees will basically be borne by the school," Dumbledorenodded.
"The school will bear it?" Aisen pondered, also thinking it was a good option.
"That's right, Hogwarts will bear a portion, and the other portion will be borne by the school participating in the exchange program," Dumbledore said simply.
After hearing this, Aisen understood what it meant.
Simply put, if a Hogwarts student participates in the exchange student program and goes to Beauxbatons to study, Hogwarts will bear a portion of the cost, and the other portion will be borne by Beauxbatons.
Similarly, if a student from Beauxbatons comes to Hogwarts, it will be the same. In addition to Beauxbatonsbearing a portion of the cost for its own students, Hogwarts will also need to provide a portion of the guarantee.
For example, in addition to food, drink, and accommodation, there are also costs related to purchasing books, cauldrons, and so on.
Of course, the fees provided by the school can basically meet the students' living expenses. But if they want to spend extra, they will have to find a way themselves.
"It seems that if Hogwarts students want to participate in the exchange student program, they will likely get a sum of Galleons. Hmm? No, it seems that other countries don't use Galleons, do they?"
This thought suddenly popped into Aisen's mind, but then he immediately thought that Dumbledore must have already considered these issues, and he stopped worrying about it.
"So, which school does Hogwarts plan to launch the exchange student program with?" After looking at the other Professors, Aisen turned his gaze back to Dumbledore. "Ilvermorny? Beauxbatons? Durmstrang?"
"Hmm—, none of those!" After a moment of hesitation, Dumbledore smiled and shook his head.
"Uh, is it Castelobruxo? Or Koldovstoretz?" Aisen paused his tone.
"Just school..." Dumbledore said a name with a smile.
"Just?" Aisen was completely bewildered after hearing this name. Was there such a magic school in the world? This was like an interstellar joke!
He looked up at Professor McGonagall and the others, and after seeing that their expressions hadn't changed, Aisen put his gaze back on Dumbledore.
"Headmaster, with all due respect, I have never heard of a magic school called 'Just' in the Wizarding World. Are you mistaken?"
"No, although this school is not registered with the International Wizarding Federation, I am certain it exists," Dumbledore said solemnly.
Looking at Dumbledore's confident expression, and seeing that the other Professors didn't refute him either, Aisen knew that Dumbledore was probably right.
There was indeed a magic school called 'Just' in this world.
But as a Crossing , Aisen knew the situation of this world, didn't he?
Uh—, well. Regarding magic schools, he had talked about this with Hermione before, but he didn't expect to actually hear about a magic school that wasn't registered with the International Wizarding Federation.
Chapter 337: Entrusted with a "Heavy" Responsibility
With thoughts swirling in his mind, Aisen fell silent for a moment.
Leaning against the railing, his gaze wandered casually, from Professor McGonagall, to Professor Flitwick, then to Professor Sprout, and finally resting on Dumbledore.
Suddenly, as if he had thought of something, his eyes lit up, and then he cleared the Random Thoughts from his mind, a smile appearing on his face.
"Alright, let's not talk about that!" Aisen's expression became calm. "What I want to say is, Headmaster, did you call me here for something?"
Aisen suddenly thought, he was just a passerby Professor.
If that was the case, then why should he care about the exchange student program between Hogwarts and other schools? It didn't matter if the school was called Just or evil, even if the other party was called Cambridge, it had nothing to do with him.
"Yes, the exchange student program has been restarted, and we are ready. This year, we will send four students to study at the 'Just' school," Dumbledore nodded towards Professor McGonagall and the others beside him, then said to Aisen.
"Sending students this year?" Aisen looked around in surprise, and seeing that everyone was calm, he understood that they had known about this for a long time.
"That's right!" Dumbledore's expression remained unchanged.
"So, when are they planning to go?" Aisen nodded, rubbing his chin with his finger. "After the Christmasholiday, at the beginning of next year?"
"No, they are preparing to leave tomorrow!" Dumbledoreshook his head, a smile appearing on his face as he looked at Aisen.
"Are you kidding?" Aisen said, black lines appearing on his forehead.
Although Aisen was surprised that Dumbledore was restarting the exchange student program at Hogwarts, he could understand it. After all, this was a normal exchange plan.
But the problem was, shouldn't the exchange student program be that students apply during the holidays, and after being approved, they arrive at other schools before the start of the school year?
Although The Daily Prophet had reported on the exchange student program that Hogwarts was about to implement, Hogwarts should at least announce this to all the teachers and students.
This way, after the students knew about this, they could decide whether to apply to be exchange students to study at other schools. Then, according to the process, they would prepare during the holidays, arrive at other schools in advance, and attend classes with them after the school starts.
However, judging from Dumbledore's meaning, he planned to leave Hogwarts the morning after the start of school feast this year and prepare to go to the "Just" school.
Putting other things aside, just considering the start date of the "Just" school, would the exchange students from Hogwarts be able to keep up after they arrived?
Uh—, or is it that the start date of the "Just" school is not September 1st, but pushed back by several days?
"No, this is a trial run after the exchange student program is restarted!" Dumbledore's expression became serious.
"Alright, a trial run!" Aisen nodded speechlessly. "But, you just said you were going to send four students. Does that mean the school is directly assigning four students?"
"Yes, I have discussed with several Professors. Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and Slytherin, each house will send one student. Then you will lead the team to go together—" Dumbledore said calmly, a glimmer of light flashing in his eyes.
"I'll lead the team? You mean, I'm going to the 'Just' school with four students tomorrow?" Aisen straightened up, then showed a dumbfounded expression.
"So, what do you think?" Dumbledore gestured towards Aisen, as if asking Aisen to express his opinion.
But what could Aisen say about this? After opening his mouth without saying anything, he shook his head directly.
"Then, it's decided!" Dumbledore smiled and nodded towards Aisen.
"Oh, right! After I leave, what about Astronomy at Hogwarts?" As if he had thought of something, Aisenasked.
"Oh, you don't need to worry about that. ProfessorSinistra, who was here before you, has returned to Hogwarts!" Dumbledore said calmly.
Professor Sinistra? Is she Aurora Sinistra, who had basically no presence in the original work? So, this person really exists in this world!
Hearing Dumbledore's words, Aisen showed a thoughtful expression.
Before, he couldn't be sure if the Astronomy Professor at Hogwarts was Aurora, because when he applied to be the Astronomy Professor, she was no longer at the school.
As for where she went, Aisen didn't think much about it. But he didn't expect that at this time, the other party had actually returned to Hogwarts.
"So, who are the four students who will be going to the 'Just' school with me? Has the list been finalized?" After pondering for a while, Aisen looked at Dumbledore. After his words fell, his peripheral vision also glanced at the other Professors.
"Yes, the four students to be sent are Harry Potter from Gryffindor, Padma Patil from Ravenclaw, Hanna Abbott from Hufflepuff, and Draco Malfoy from Slytherin!"
These four students?
Wait—
They are all Five Grade students, so their O.W.Ls exams will be ruined. Oh, and poor Harry, his beloved Quidditchwill also be ruined.
Tsk tsk—
Forget it, forget it, it's Dumbledore's arrangement, so be it.
"Then, I have one last question, do these students know about this?" Aisen said calmly. "I mean, should we give them a few days to prepare?"
"We have considered this. After the start of school feast, I will tell them about it," Dumbledore said softly.
"Alright, I understand. Is there anything else? If not, I'll go back and prepare first!" Aisen said, walking towards the door.
Dumbledore shook his head and said nothing more.
"Oh, right, you plan to tell Harry and the others about this after the start of school feast, should I go and tell them first—" Pushing open the door, Aisen seemed to have thought of something before leaving, and turned his head to ask.
"Now?" Dumbledore looked at Aisen in surprise, then showed a look of understanding. "Alright, we still have something to do here, you can go and tell them."
...
After leaving the Headmaster's office, Aisen shook his head and sighed slightly.
Originally, Aisen thought he would be a lazy Professor at Hogwarts for another school year, but he didn't expect to have to take students to another school.
However, having said that, this is after all an exchange student program between Hogwarts School and other schools. Since that is the case, student exchanges between schools are very normal. But why should a Professor go along?
If you say a teacher is needed to lead the team, then—well, it can be justified.
However, there is one point that Aisen feels the school's consideration is not entirely appropriate.
For example, for a program like exchange students, he thinks it should be screened within the range of Six Grade and Seven Grade students. Or to be more direct, only Six Grade students should be allowed to apply.
On the one hand, he feels that students from First Grade to Fourth Grade are a bit too young and should just stay at Hogwarts to systematically learn knowledge.
On the other hand, Five Grade and Seven Grade students are busy with the O.W.Ls exams and N.E.W.Ts exams respectively. The former determines their future career direction, and the latter determines what kind of job they will apply for after graduation.
Therefore, overall, Aisen feels that it is most appropriate for Hogwarts to reserve exchange student slots for Six Grade students.
But for some reason, Dumbledore and the others actually decided to send out several Five Grade students.
As a result, putting other things aside, their O.W.Ls exams are probably ruined. Of course, it's not necessarily the case, maybe they will take a special exam at that time.
If it were just like this, it would be fine, but the key is that Harry Potter, the Savior, was also sent out.
You know, Hogwarts School is the safest place in this world (probably). At the very least, with Dumbledore in charge, the safety of Hogwarts should be the highest.
So, if Dumbledore sends Harry Potter out, isn't he afraid that he will encounter some danger? Aisen remembers very clearly that Dumbledore told him earlier that although Voldemort no longer had horcruxes, he was still alive and well.
In this situation, is it inappropriate to let Harry Potter be an exchange student?
Or is it that the so-called "Just" school is even safer than Hogwarts?
After pondering for a moment, Aisen shook his head and cleared these Random Thoughts.
Immediately after, with a slight movement of his thoughts, his gaze switched to Hermione through the contract of the book of aisen. His vision shifted, and a book appeared before Aisen's eyes. A slender, delicate hand turned the page and folded it back, and the magical text on the page entered his view.
Glancing to the side, the empty seat was unoccupied.
In surprise, Aisen's mind stirred, and he activated the magic within his body. Then Apparition Without A Tracewas cast, and he vanished from the spot.
...
The sky was cloudless, and under the golden sunlight, the air seemed to become hot.
In the vast wilderness, a steam train was chugging forward, its destination, as in previous years, was Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
As the view constantly drew closer, only upon entering the interior space of this train would one hear the chirping conversations coming from the various carriages.
Clearly, for the Little Wizards starting school, the novel experience was always so exciting.
In a carriage near the back, a girl with thick brown hair was engrossed in reading a book. At a certain moment, a figure suddenly appeared out of thin air on the empty seat opposite her.
"Professor, what are you doing here? You gave me a fright!" Hermione was startled when she saw the figure suddenly appear opposite her, but after seeing who it was, she immediately breathed a sigh of relief.
"I just came from Hogwarts!" Another year had passed, and looking at the now graceful Hermione, Aisen replied with a smile while sighing with emotion.
"Hogwarts! Professor, is something wrong?" Hermioneclosed her book and looked at Aisen with burning eyes.
"There is something indeed!" Aisen nodded, then changed the subject, "By the way, are you the only one in this carriage? Aren't Harry and the others here?"
"They went to Fred's place to play cards—" Hermionesaid, shaking her head slightly, "Does what the Professorneeds to say concern Harry and them?"
"Exactly!" Aisen said unhurriedly, a slight smile playing on his lips.
"I'll go find him!" After Hermione finished speaking, she placed the book on the small table in front of her. Then she got up, hurriedly pulled open the carriage door, went out, and closed the door with a bang.
Seeing how anxious Hermione was, Aisen couldn't help but shake his head.
With a thought, God's Perspective opened, and the scene within the entire train was reflected in his mind. In an instant, the noisy sounds were fed back, but before they could bother him, he had already blocked them out.
His gaze shifted, entering a carriage in the middle, where the Weasley Twins, Harry, Ron, and others were gathered.
"Three eights with two twos—"
"Perfect, three nines with two sevens!"
"Four threes, how about that?"
"Oh, isn't that just right! Four Kings!"
...
After hearing these sounds, Aisen shook his head and withdrew his gaze.
The train continued to move forward. Outside the windows, scenes of varied scenery rushed towards them and were quickly left behind by the train. A gentle breeze swept past, swirling through the gaps in the windows and entering the carriage, adding a touch of coolness to the space inside.
Thump, thump, thump, thump—
In the blink of an eye, footsteps could be heard from outside the carriage. When Aisen turned his head to look, the carriage door was opened, and Hermione, Harry, and the others walked in.
"Professor Aisen, Hermione said you wanted to see me?" As Harry walked into the carriage, he was saying something while stuffing something into his pocket.
"Sit down and talk!" Aisen said to Harry, then turned to look at Ron beside him, "By the way, Ron, go to the other carriages and call Padma Patil, Hanna Abbott, and Draco Malfoy."
"Draco Malfoy?" Ron had just entered the carriage, and upon hearing Aisen's words, he momentarily suspected he had misheard.
At the same time, Harry, Hermione, Fred, and George all showed surprised expressions.
The other two were fine, but Malfoy was someone they had always been at odds with. Although Malfoy had reined himself in a lot over the past year and no longer bothered them, that didn't mean they could get along with him.
Therefore, upon hearing that Aisen wanted to call Malfoyas well, they were both surprised and confused.
"Go ahead, this matter concerns not only Harry but also Malfoy!" Aisen nodded towards Ron and explained casually.
"Alright!" Ron shrugged his shoulders, pulled open the carriage door, and walked out.
"Professor, is something wrong?" After Ron left, Fred's mouth twitched, and with one sentence, he livened up the atmosphere in the entire carriage.
"Is Harry going to be a Prefect?" George patted Harry's shoulder, showing a mischievous look.
"Weren't you listening carefully? The Professor said the matter concerns not only Harry but also Malfoy!" Hermione rolled her eyes from the side.
"We'll talk about it when they arrive!" Aisen stopped their conversation.
A few minutes later, Ron pushed open the carriage door, followed by three figures, who were Malfoy and the others.
After entering the carriage, Ron squeezed in next to Fredand George, while Hanna, Padma, and Malfoy stood to the side, watching him quietly.
Seeing Malfoy's calm expression, Aisen knew that he had indeed changed a lot. The most obvious thing was that the arrogance that used to be on his face was no longer visible.
"Alright, before I tell you about this, I want to ask if you've seen The Daily Prophet recently?" After nodding, Aisenbegan to ask.
As he spoke, his gaze shifted from Harry to Malfoy and the others.
"The Daily Prophet, Professor, you mean?" Harry looked at Aisen in confusion.
"There was an article in it about Dumbledore's plan to restart the exchange student program at Hogwarts—" Aisen raised his arm and tapped his finger on the table.
Everyone in the carriage showed a look of understanding.
"Does what the Professor wants to tell us have something to do with this?" Padma seemed to have thought of something, and while using her fingers to push a few strands of hair back from her forehead, she asked first.
"I just received news from Dumbledore that at the start of the term—that is, tomorrow—the four of you will be going with me to the 'Just' school as exchange students." Aisen dropped this explosive news directly.
"The four of us are going to be exchange students, and we're leaving tomorrow?" Harry's face showed an expression of disbelief.
Looking at Malfoy and the others, they were equally shocked.
"That's right, the school has assigned it—each of the four houses, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and Slytherin, will send one student. This list was likely determined by Dumbledore in consultation with the Heads of each house." Aisen nodded.
"You, Professor, are going with us, does that mean you won't be at Hogwarts this year?" Hermione beside him seemed to have reacted and quickly asked, her tone filled with anxiety.
"That's right!" Aisen nodded towards Hermione, then looked at Harry and the others, "Don't worry, there won't be any problems attending classes at other schools. You can completely act as if you're still at Hogwarts."
With a thought, he didn't forget to open the Chat Groupinterface.
Aisen: Hermione, what's wrong?
Hermione: Professor, you're leaving Hogwarts, when will we see each other again?
Aisen: Don't worry, can't we talk all the time? Besides, have you forgotten that I can Apparition?
Hermione: Then, when I want to see you, can I see you?
Aisen: Of course!
Hermione: Alright, hehe!
...
After comforting her in the Chat Group for a few sentences, Hermione's expression returned to calmness, and she even smiled when looking at Aisen.
"But, this year is our O.W.Ls year, isn't it? If Harry and the others are exchange students, do they not have to take the O.W.Ls?" At this moment, Ron beside him seemed to have thought of something and couldn't help but exclaim.
Reminded by Ron, Harry and the others all turned their gaze to Aisen.
"This—I think Dumbledore and the others already have a plan. At the start-of-term feast, he will talk to you about some things, and I think he will explain it to you." Aisensaid unhurriedly.
Hearing Aisen say this, everyone in the carriage fell silent for a moment, seemingly digesting the information he had revealed.
Chapter 338: The Long-Awaited Opening Feast
"Professor, may I ask something?" Just as everyone was still silent, Draco suddenly spoke.
His expression was calm, and his tone was also calm. This quiet, non-trouble-seeking demeanor actually gave people an impression of humility and politeness.
Uh—, is this the legendary 'prodigal son returning is worth more than gold'? Hmm, alright!
"Speak!" Aisen nodded.
"What kind of magic school is Just School, and why have I never heard of this school?" Draco nodded and asked without batting an eye.
Hearing Draco's question, everyone finally reacted, their faces showing confusion.
That's right, after studying at Hogwarts for several years, they had a decent understanding of the Wizarding World, but in their knowledge, among the eleven magic schools worldwide, none was called "Just" School.
In fact, they were even doubting if Professor Aisen had misspoken.
"That's right, the name 'Just' School sounds unfamiliar. Like you, I haven't heard of this magic school either, but since Dumbledore mentioned it, it means this magicschool exists." Aisen shrugged. "If you want to know the specific information, I think Dumbledore will tell you after the feast."
"Professor, do you mean that a few of us will follow you to 'Just' School tomorrow morning?" Hanna, who had been quiet for a while, suddenly asked.
"That's right, if nothing unexpected happens, we'll have to leave tomorrow morning. Hmm—, if there's nothing else, you can go back and prepare now, and write a letter to your family about this—" Aisen said calmly, then gestured to the few of them.
"Okay, goodbye Professor!" "Goodbye Professor!"
Draco, Padma, and Hanna, upon hearing Aisen's words, said their goodbyes and left the carriage.
"Harry, what about you? Aren't you going to write to Sirius about this?" Seeing that Harry was still rooted to the spot, Aisen reminded him.
"That's right, Harry, you won't be at Hogwarts for the next year. You need to tell Sirius about this." Ron patted Harry's shoulder hard.
"Come on, Harry, we have some gifts for you!" After exchanging glances, Fred and George stepped forward and put their arms around Harry's shoulders. The few of them left the carriage and walked towards the front of the train.
At this moment, the only people left in the carriage were Aisen and Hermione.
"Professor, the school is restarting the exchange student program. Did they have such a program before?" Seeing that there was no one around, Hermione immediately leaned over to Aisen and asked.
"It should be. Hogwarts and Castelobruxo seemed to have had similar cooperation before. It was interrupted because the related fees were too expensive, and not many people applied." Aisen nodded. "This time the school will provide a part of the cost for restarting the exchange student program."
"But why is the exchange student program assigned by the school instead of open for applications like before?" Hermione couldn't help but puff out her cheeks as she spoke. "If it were open for applications, I would definitely sign up—"
Seeing Hermione's indignant look, Aisen couldn't help but smile.
However, what Hermione said was not without reason.
After all, to push forward an exchange student program, students should theoretically be allowed to apply voluntarily, instead of directly assigning a few students as is being done this time.
However, as soon as he thought of the previous conversation, Aisen understood.
Dumbledore had said earlier that this restart of the exchange student program was just a trial. Perhaps if the results are good, it will revert to the method of students applying voluntarily.
Of course, if something unexpected happens, this exchange student program might even be interrupted again.
But then again, if Dumbledore meant that assigning Harry and the others as exchange students this time was just a trial, why not choose a familiar magic school?
For example, Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, or Durmstrang. Well, if they were worried about students getting immersed in Black magic, they could also choose Beauxbatons Academy of magic.
After all, the Beauxbatons students and staff were at Hogwarts for a year during the Triwizard Tournament. Thus, the students should have a stronger sense of familiarity with Beauxbatons.
"Oh, by the way, Professor, are you still carrying the Double-sided Mirror I gave you?" After a moment of silence, Hermione seemed to think of something, and her fair, delicate hand gracefully extended in front of Aisen.
"Is there a problem?" Aisen looked over in surprise, took out the Double-sided Mirror, and placed it in Hermione's hand.
"Isn't Harry going to 'Just' School? We can lend it to Harryand Ginny so they can talk to each other. Anyway, we don't need it anymore, do we?" Hermione held the Double-sided Mirror and rubbed it a few times. Although she said this, a hint of reluctance showed on her face.
"You forgot, Double-sided Mirrors can be bought outside!" Aisen shook his head with amusement, took the Double-sided Mirror from Hermione's hand, and said, "How can I lend the gift you gave me to someone else?"
"Oh, I forgot!" Hermione lowered her head, her face turning crimson.
"Later—well, okay, I'll go buy some Double-sided Mirrors and give them to Harry in a bit," Aisen said calmly after putting the Double-sided Mirror away.
A few minutes later, Harry and Ron entered the carriage one after another.
"How was it?" Seeing the smile on Harry's face, Aisenknew he wasn't worried about the exchange student matter.
"I've already written to Sirius," Harry and Ron sat opposite Aisen. "Fred and George gave me a lot of gifts—uh, some prank products."
"Are you planning to use them at 'Just' School?" Looking at the large handful of various small gadgets Harrypulled out of his pocket, Aisen's expression became strange.
"I don't know what the new classmates will be like after going to 'Just' School. Fred and George think I can give these as gifts to the new classmates to build good relationships with them." Harry scratched his head, a little embarrassed.
"Okay, as long as you're happy." Aisen nodded, and thinking of what Hermione had said earlier, he paused for a moment before continuing, "Oh, by the way, I also have something to give you!"
"Ah? What is it?" Harry looked at Aisen in surprise while tidying up the small gadgets on the small table.
"Wait for me!" Aisen's expression became serious. After looking around, he instantly vanished from his seat.
"Wow—, Professor used Apparition?" Seeing Aisensuddenly disappear, Ron on the side couldn't help but exclaim.
"Don't you think it's strange?" Harry's movements stopped. He looked at Ron next to him, then at Hermioneopposite.
"What's strange?" Ron said carelessly, then seemed to think of something and lowered his voice, "Both of us can Apparate from Diagon Alley to The Burrow. It's normal for a powerful Professor to Apparate away, isn't it?"
"But Apparition makes a sound, did you forget?" Harryreminded him softly.
"Yeah, you're right, Apparition makes a very loud sound." Ron was stunned for a moment, a thoughtful expression on his face. "Could it be that when a powerful person performs the Apparition Charm, it doesn't make a sound?"
"That makes sense. Maybe powerful Witches like the Professor have completely mastered the Apparition Charm, so there's no longer a popping sound." Harry said, a look of sudden realization on his face.
"Hermione, what do you think?" Ron asked Hermioneopposite him.
"You're right, Professor Aisen is powerful and has completely mastered the secret of Apparition, so it's reasonable that he doesn't make a sound when casting the spell." Hermione looked up at Harry and Ron, her eyes darting around a few times, then she went along with Ron's idea.
In fact, Hermione had been opening the Chat Groupwhenever she had free time recently!
And naturally, she discovered the complex and powerful spell, Apparition Without A Trace, in the "Skill Bar" of the personal information interface.
When she learned that this spell was a new spell jointly created by Professor Aisen, Professor Dumbledore, and others, and that it was not restricted by the anti-Apparition Charm in Hogwarts Castle, she was surprised for a long time.
Therefore, Hermione certainly knew that the reason Aisenleft without making any sound was because he used Apparition Without A Trace, not Apparition.
However, since Professor Aisen had not told Harry and Ron about this secret, Hermione naturally would not publicize it either.
Clatter, clatter—
A loud noise echoed in the train corridor. When they heard this sound, Harry and Ron looked up almost simultaneously, their eyes lighting up.
"Hey—, I'm just hungry, let's buy some snacks!" Ron and Harry stood up and directly opened the compartment door.
The two of them gathered around the cart and chatted with the train attendant for a while. But when they closed the compartment door again, they were already holding a large pile of snacks.
"Hermione, want some? This cake is quite tasty!" The two of them put the food on the small table, and Harry picked up a cauldron cake and gestured to Hermione.
"No thanks, give me that Licorice Wand, I'll try it!" Hermione waved her hand, then pointed to the snacks on the other side.
"I was almost starving!" Ron ignored Harry and Hermione's actions, directly tore open a cardboard box, took out a few sandwiches from inside, and started eating them in large bites.
Swish—
Aisen's figure appeared directly beside Hermione.
"Professor!" "Professor, you're here!"
"Harry, a gift for you!" Looking at the large pile of snacks in front of the Trio, Aisen nodded slightly, then handed a pair of Double-sided Mirrors to Harry.
"Thank you, Professor, this is—" Harry's mouth was full of snacks. After quickly swallowing, he took the pair of Double-sided Mirrors and looked through them.
"Are they Double-sided Mirrors?" Ron leaned over to look, taking one of the mirrors into his hand. "These are great, Harry. With these, even if you go to that 'Just' school, you can still talk to me."
"These aren't for you!" Hermione looked at Ron's actions, rolled her eyes, and reminded him.
"Who are they for—oh, I see, alright, you can give them to Ginny later!" Ron spoke halfway, as if he thought of something, and a look of realization appeared on his face.
Immediately after, he looked at Harry with a smile, winked at him, and stuffed the Double-sided Mirror into his hand.
...
Time always passed without notice, and in the blink of an eye, the sky had darkened.
Hogsmeade Station, the last stop near Hogwarts. After the train stopped, the Little Wizards got off one after another. Under Hagrid's lead, the first-years took small boats across Black Lake to the other side.
"Hermione, let's go!" "We've arrived!"
Aisen called out, and surrounded by the Trio, he took a carriage pulled by Thestrals along with the other older students, circling around and heading towards the direction of the other gate.
Arriving at the stone steps of the oak gate, everyone jumped off the carriage and entered the Castle.
School Great Hall.
Harry, Ron, and Hermione sat at the long dining table. Like the other Little Wizards, they curiously watched the new figures appearing on the staff table, occasionally lowering their heads to quietly discuss something.
Aisen had already gone to the staff table and sat down.
As usual, Dumbledore, Professor Flitwick, Professor Snape, and others sat upright. However, what surprised Aisen was that the person who had previously sat in Sirius Black's seat had changed. It was a middle-aged man with a face full of scars, a partially missing nose, and a constantly rolling blue artificial eye.
Seeing this unique appearance, it should be "Mad-Eye" Moody.
Uh—, if it weren't for Aisen's interference, he should have been the Defense Against the Black Arts Professor at Hogwarts in Harry's fourth year.
Wait—
That's not quite right either, because he was locked in a trunk by Barty Crouch Jr. for a whole year! Well, that is quite strange.
But now, it is clear that because Black has been assigned by Dumbledore, he will likely take on the position of Conquering Dark Magic Professor.
"Who is that? Do you know him?"
"He seems to be a former Auror from the Ministry of Magic, now retired. He's a very powerful Witch and has a good hand against Death Eaters."
"Those injuries on him? I mean his one leg and his nose—"
"He's always been in the most dangerous places, so this appearance is understandable."
"Does becoming an Auror turn you into this kind of ghoul?"
...
The students below were whispering quietly, and when they looked at Moody, their faces always showed a bit of resistance.
Shifting his gaze, Aisen shook his head slightly. Immediately after, he saw a strange Witch sitting next to Professor Sprout, but he guessed that if there were no surprises, it should be Professor Sinistra, who would be taking over from Aisen.
At this moment, the side door of the Great Hall was suddenly opened.
Many people cast their eyes over and saw Professor McGonagall walking in first, followed by a group of Little Wizards looking around.
Amidst the flickering candlelight, the usual process began.
Professor McGonagall took out the Sorting Hat and had the first-year students come forward one by one to begin the sorting ceremony.
"Euan Abercrombie!" "Gryffindor!"
"Rose Zeller!" "Hufflepuff!"
...
After the sorting ceremony, Professor McGonagall took away the Sorting Hat and stool. And Dumbledore stood up from his seat, and immediately, the Little Wizardsbelow fell silent.
"Welcome to our new students, welcome back to our old students—" Dumbledore's voice was exceptionally loud. "There will be plenty of time for speeches, but not now. Tuck in!"
There was warm applause in the Great Hall, and then, large amounts of food appeared out of thin air on the platters on the long tables. Beef, vegetables, pies, bread, jam, and more, whetting everyone's appetite.
Half an hour passed, and when everyone had eaten their fill, the leftovers on the platters disappeared out of thin air again.
The chattering noise of the Little Wizards gradually resumed, and then, when Dumbledore stood up again, the students below fell silent once more.
"Well, now that we have digested a truly magnificent feast, I ask for your attention for a few moments while I give out a few notices, as usual." Dumbledore began to speak.
"First years should note that the Forbidden Forest on the grounds is out of bounds to all students. And a few of our older students would do well to remember that too."
"I have also been asked by Mr. Filch, the caretaker, to remind you all that no magic should be used between classes in the corridors. Many other regulations are listed on a notice posted on the door of his office."
"Of course, there are two changes to our teaching staff this year. We are delighted to welcome back ProfessorSinistra, who will be taking over Astronomy from Professor Aisen."
Just as Dumbledore said this, some of the Little Wizardsbelow looked at Aisen and then whispered among themselves.
"Professor Aisen? Isn't he sitting there?"
"Did Dumbledore make a mistake?"
Clearly, this news left many people confused.
"Also, please join me in welcoming our new Conquering Dark Magic teacher—Professor Moody."
After saying another sentence, Dumbledore led the applause.
But unfortunately, perhaps because of Moody's frightening appearance, the Little Wizards below sat quietly, and no one followed suit in applauding.
This made Dumbledore's applause echo in the silent Great Hall, appearing quite solitary.
"Alright, besides that, there are a few other things I need to tell you. The tryouts for the House Quidditch teams will take place next Friday—in addition, the school plans to include some of the spells learned in the dueling class in the year-end assessments for students in the third year and above. In principle, every student is required to pass the Disarming Charm and the Shield Charm."
"Furthermore, I believe many of you already know that Hogwarts will restart the exchange student program. This year, four students will participate in this program!"
"They are Harry Potter from Gryffindor, Padma Patil from Ravenclaw, Hanna Abbott from Hufflepuff, and Draco Malfoy from Slytherin. Tomorrow, they will leave Hogwarts led by Professor Aisen!"
After Dumbledore finished speaking, he sat down.
Chapter 339: "laplace's demon"
As soon as this unexpected news was announced, it ignited the curiosity of the Little Wizards, and the entire Great Hall immediately became noisy.
And Harry, Malfoy, and others became the focus of everyone's attention.
"Harry, is Professor Dumbledore serious? You're leaving Hogwarts tomorrow?" Dean, sitting next to Harry, looked at Harry in surprise.
"That's right, Professor Aisen also said this!" Harrynodded. Since he knew about this news in advance, he wasn't too surprised.
"In that case, Harry, won't the Gryffindor Quidditch team be missing you as their Seeker again this year?" Nevillesaid in a muffled voice.
"Uh, it's okay, didn't Dumbledore just say that personnel will be selected to join the team next Friday?" Harry said it was okay, but his expression wasn't very good.
Of course, he wasn't thinking about whether the Gryffindor Quidditch team could win this year, but whether he could still play Quidditch after going to the so-called 'Just' school.
You know, last year, due to the Triwizard Tournament, Hogwarts had suspended matches for a whole year. If he couldn't play Quidditch this year either, he didn't know how much his skills would deteriorate.
However, upon second thought, Harry felt a little relieved. Maybe after arriving at the 'Just' school, he could actively apply to become a member of the Quidditch team.
This way, by then, he could warm up and participate in some training.
"However, I didn't expect Malfoy and the others to also participate in this exchange student program!" Seamussaid, with a hint of disbelief on his face.
"This was decided by Dumbledore and the others, I don't think it's a big deal!" Hermione shook her head and said nonchalantly.
"Just now Dumbledore said that the spells learned in the Dueling class will be included in the annual assessment scope, does that mean there will be an assessment in the final exam?" Neville said, with a bit of worry on his face, "My Shield Charm is not yet proficient!"
"Don't worry, you can already cast it, can't you? You can practice more in the Dueling class!" Ron, who was next to him, patted Neville's shoulder and comforted him.
"Neville should be fine if he practices those spells more, but Ron, you need to be careful!" Harry suddenly reminded.
"Me? Is there a problem?" Ron looked at Harry in surprise.
"Don't forget, you're already a Prefect!" Harry lowered his voice, "Professor Aisen will leave Hogwarts with us this year, so you won't have 'more' time to finish those homework assignments. If you don't care about grades, then you don't need to worry about it—"
"This—" At this moment, Ron seemed to have reacted, and a trace of entanglement couldn't help but appear on his face, "Okay, it seems this school year will be a relatively difficult one. However, if we adopt the 'sea of questions tactic' that Professor Aisen mentioned, there should be no problem."
"However, it's strange, why did Ron and Hermionebecome Prefects?" Seamus, who was next to them, scanned them back and forth, with a look of confusion, "Is it because of your excellent performance in the Dueling class?"
"Probably so! Professor Aisen trained us, that's why we could perform like that in the Dueling class. You don't know, my dad and mom couldn't believe I actually became a Gryffindor Prefect!" Ron's expression changed, and a hint of excitement appeared.
It was clear that he was quite happy about becoming a Prefect.
"Maybe the original Prefect was Harry, it's just because he's going to be an exchange student, so the title of Prefect fell to you!" George muttered from the side.
"That's right—Ron, you definitely picked up this Prefecttitle!" Fred shook his head, echoing the tease.
"Yes, I picked up this Prefect title, but I'm the fourth Gryffindor in my family to become a Prefect, you can't even pick up the title of Prefect—" Ron rolled his eyes and couldn't help but mock loudly.
Besides the Gryffindor side, Malfoy, Hanna, Padma, and others also became the focus of their respective houses, and the Little Wizards gathered around them, constantly talking.
"Alright, I think everyone can return to their dormitories to rest now!" After a while, Dumbledore announced the dismissal of the entire school's teachers and students.
Immediately afterward, there was a series of clattering sounds of tables and chairs in the Great Hall. Apparently, everyone was preparing to leave the Great Hall and go back to rest.
"Ron, we should go guide the first-year new students." Hermione stood up from her seat. Perhaps it was her first time being a Prefect, she seemed a little nervous.
"Oh, right! I almost forgot about this!" Ron stood up and patted his head, then shouted towards the other side of the Gryffindor long table: "Hey—, everyone, little ones!"
"Hey—, Ron—" Hermione reminded him.
"Cough cough, that's how it is, they're so small!" Ronlowered his voice and repeated.
"I know, but you can't call them little ones! You have to show the Prefect's authority—" Hermione said with a serious face, then shouted towards the table, "First-year new students, please come this way!"
"Potter, come over here!" A voice attracted Harry's attention. He turned his head and saw that it was Dumbledore waving at him.
Over there, Malfoy, Hanna, Padma, and others had already walked over.
Obviously, before leaving, Dumbledore summoned them. He was planning to say something to them, those participating in the exchange student program.
"See you later!" Harry said to Ron and Hermione, then stepped towards Dumbledore.
Along the way, many Little Wizards cast their eyes on him, showing envious expressions. He walked straight to Dumbledore, and then Dumbledore led several people from behind the faculty table into the conference room there.
The first-year new students stood up from their seats and walked into the aisle, then followed the Prefects of each house, pouring onto the marble staircase and walking towards the common rooms of each house.
...
Office.
Aisen sat behind his desk. After closing his eyes slightly, he cast the Dream God Spell and entered the Dream World.
After entering the Dream World, Aisen looked at the scene before him with emotion. Since the last time the Emotional Manipulation Trait was inexplicably transferred here, the spherical gray mist it transformed into still hung quietly in the air.
It seemed to be incubating something, or perhaps it was just dormant here, making him a little unsure.
"Could it be that I need to go to Azkaban to catch some Dementors to extract the Emotional Manipulation Trait?" Aisen muttered, with a hint of hesitation on his face.
To be honest, his golden finger was not very intelligent. Although the Miracle Trait could replicate extraordinary traits, why could the same item only be used once?
If the same item could be used repeatedly—uh, well, it's actually not a big deal. If Aisen could make one item, he could make more.
With a thought, Aisen's figure instantly appeared in outer space in the Dream World.
In the vast, boundless darkness, stars twinkled. Hundreds of meters away from the spaceship that Aisen had previously solidified in a corner outside the Solar System, a transparent sphere with a diameter of over a thousand miles hung quietly.
It radiated a faint glow, like an ancient star.
Zooming in on the interior of the sphere, one could see that it was filled with various nodes and winding threads. It looked like a scene from a sci-fi movie, full of a strong sense of high technology.
With a flash, Aisen's figure appeared on the top observation deck of the spaceship, and then he looked directly at the transparent sphere not far opposite.
That's right, this transparent sphere with a diameter of over a thousand miles was actually the hardware of the supercomputer he had built before!
Of course, the reason why it had changed so much from initially directly copying hardware components from the outside was entirely due to Aisen's own recent modifications and adjustments.
After all, he had decided to use magic runes to "program" the Laplace's Demon System. Therefore, the previously built hardware components had limitations.
Thus, after a period of study and deliberation, he made some modifications and adjustments to these hardware components. Now, this transparent sphere with a diameter of over a thousand miles before him was the adjusted hardware.
Since it had to carry magic runes and even symbols to run on it, the composition of this sphere was actually a metal that Aisen had created himself, one that didn't exist in reality.
This was not difficult for Aisen.
Because in the Dream World, he had nearly omnipotent abilities, so it was easy to create an extremely powerful metal that could serve as all the hardware components of a supercomputer.
In addition, when Aisen created the Chat Group before, he also reproduced a copy of the book of aisen in a luxurious suite within the solidified spaceship.
He used this as the carrier of the power of the contract, connecting the Dream World with the real world. In this way, some data generated by the Chat Group could be automatically synchronized in the Dream World.
Therefore, regarding the matter of building the "laplace's demon" supercomputer in the Dream World, although he did not expect to be able to directly apply it to the real world, for the sake of longer-term development, he still drew out the power of the contract that connected the Dream World and the real world from the book of aisenin the luxurious suite and extended it to the transparent sphere hundreds of meters away.
This way, it would likely be much easier for him to directly borrow the laplace's demon's computing power in the real world in the future.
Just as he had thought before, leveraging the connection between the contracts and his nearly omnipotent ability in the Dream World, he might be able to connect a part of his consciousness to the Laplace's Demon System!
If things truly developed in the direction he envisioned, then he would surely become an invincible existence in this world.
What? Aisen is already invincible in this world now? Oh, then never mind!
However, having said that, this was just a plan he had preset in his mind. Whether it could be realized still depended on his next actions.
Of course, putting that aside, although the hardware of the laplace's demon had been adjusted and modified by Aisen, the node architecture layout in some subtle details still followed the design ideas of the supercomputer that was originally copied and built.
This was also a choice made for Aisen's subsequent system development work to be more convenient.
However, in his plan, perhaps after the Laplace's Demon System was updated a few times, the architecture inside might also be further adjusted.
Looking at the transparent sphere with a diameter of thousands of miles suspended before him, a smile appeared on Aisen's face.
Inside the sphere, countless nodes were densely distributed, connected and combined by threads in a special arrangement, constructing all the component hardware.
With a thought, a magic rune was outlined out of thin air in front of Aisen. The magic rune seemed to be composed of light extracted from the darkness, emitting a faint silver glow.
Immediately after, magic runes rapidly appeared, one after another, above Aisen's head.
When a full thousand magic runes were outlined, the area within dozens of zhang around Aisen was illuminated brightly by the silver light. Clearly, he intended these magic runes to serve as the underlying "tools" for the development of the Laplace's Demon System.
After spreading his hands, Aisen's will moved, and then those thousand magic runes began to self-replicate.
The magic runes, which were originally arranged in a circle within a plane, continuously self-replicated, and the newly appearing magic runes automatically stacked upwards like Lego bricks.
As if a black technology from a science fiction world had appeared, the number of magic runes continuously expanded, intersecting and colliding with each other, then arranging and combining, finally transforming into a sphere with the same diameter of thousands of miles as the one hundreds of meters away.
Of course, unlike the unnamed metal components he created over there, the huge sphere above Aisen's head was entirely constructed and assembled from countless tiny magic runes.
Narrowing his eyes slightly, Aisen extended his hands and continuously moved his fingers in front of him.
Leveraging his nearly omnipotent ability, Aisencontinuously analyzed and calculated.
Subsequently, he saw magic runes peeling off from the massive magic rune sphere above his head and disappearing. At the same time, this huge magic rune sphere with a diameter of thousands of miles was also continuously shrinking, and its light was constantly dimming.
When this massive magic rune sphere stopped shrinking and dimming, its size had reduced to about twenty zhang.
Slightly relieved, Aisen did not stop. With a thought, the magic rune sphere above his head soared up, passed through a section of dark space, and arrived in front of the transparent sphere opposite.
Immediately after, magic runes fell from the sphere and drilled directly into the transparent sphere with a diameter of thousands of miles.
After entering the transparent sphere, the magic runes rapidly moved along the threads distributed throughout. When some magic runes settled on a certain node, they stopped and fixed themselves there. Then, the subsequent magic runes continued to move, darting towards another node.
The entire transparent sphere was like an isolated dark Galaxy. When the magic runes entered it one by one and stopped at a certain node, it was as if they lit up the stars in the dark Galaxy, emitting brilliant light.
Therefore, a spectacular scene appeared before Aisen: within the transparent sphere with a diameter of thousands of miles, brilliant points of light emerged, gradually spreading throughout every space.
When all the magic runes entered the transparent sphere, and lit up all the nodes, in an instant, the light from all the nodes in the entire sphere converged.
As if it were filled with countless black holes, a deep dark light emerged, rendering the entire transparent sphere a greyish color.
"I wonder if this system created with magic runes will work!" Aisen said, waving his hand. A screen appeared out of thin air on the wall of the viewing platform on the side of the spaceship.
Clearly, for the laplace's demon supercomputer that had been initially built, connecting various devices using the power of the contract as an external line was feasible.
Time slowly passed, and Aisen continuously adjusted the "code" constructed by the magic runes.
After an unknown amount of time in the Dream World—
The words "System running normally!" finally appeared before his eyes.
Clearly, this meant that Aisen was one step closer to his goal.
"So, let's try simulating the orbits of all planets in the Galaxy, and calculating the number of stars in the Galaxy..." Aisen said, swiping on the screen projected onto the wall.
"Orbits of all planets in the Galaxy are shown as images—"
"Number of stars in the Galaxy—"
Almost at the moment Aisen's voice fell, the screen before Aisen directly projected an image of the model showing the orbits of all planets in the Galaxy, and also displayed the number of stars in the Galaxy.
"368,973,764,226 stars? Is that real?" Aisen's face showed surprise. Then, as if he thought of something, with a slight movement of his mind, he closed his eyes, seemingly sensing something.
Afterward, Aisen opened his eyes, a hint of strangeness on his face.
Alright, the Laplace's Demon System, which had already started running, calculated correctly, because this number was correct in the Dream World.
Next, he gave several instructions, and the laplace's demon completed them all excellently.
"The calculation speed is quite fast, but this is just a pure supercomputer!" Aisen frowned. "No, no—what I want to create is a laplace's demon, not a supercomputer! What a laplace's demon can do, well—it should be to control everything, right?"
After pondering for a moment, Aisen looked at the giant sphere suspended not far away and shook his head slightly. What was certain now was that although he had created the Laplace's Demon System, its capabilities were still very limited.
At the moment, he had two options.
One option was, as he had thought before, to directly allocate a portion of his nearly omnipotent authority in the Dream World to the laplace's demon supercomputer. In this way, it could basically truly be called a laplace's demon.
Because it could do most of the things Aisen could do in the Dream World.
But this option had an unavoidable drawback, which was that if he knew how to do it but not why, its upper limit would be directly locked.
Or rather, if that were the case, Aisen would have no need to use magic runes to develop the system, nor would he need to copy supercomputer hardware from the outside, research the architecture ideas of various components, etc. He would only need to create a puppet in the Dream World and grant the puppet authority, and he could also create a laplace's demon.
But the problem was, if Aisen wanted to bring it into the real world, or apply it in the real world, it probably wouldn't work. For example, right now, Aisen wanted to use the divine authority in the Dream World to grant himself invincible strength in the real world! But unfortunately, this was not feasible.
Another option was to simply continuously modify the current Laplace's Demon System—or rather, the supercomputer—and continuously improve its performance.
In this way, through updates and upgrades, it would continuously become more perfect, or rather, continuously approach reality.
In this way, although without borrowing Aisen's nearly omnipotent authority in the Dream World, the time it would take to grow into a laplace's demon would become indefinitely long, it would likely be much easier if he wanted to apply it to the real world.
Chapter 340 Time to Depart!
After a moment of contemplation, Aisen sighed and left the Dream World, returning to reality.
Opening his eyes, Aisen rose and paced to the window, looking at Hogwarts Castle in the night, a hint of conflict rising in his heart.
Currently, his goal of building a supercomputer in the Dream World seemed to have succeeded. However, his plan to create a laplace's demon in the Dream World had failed.
Of course, after some thought, Aisen still felt that the second option was more reliable.
Although for now, the second option could only be used as a supercomputer, Aisen could see its potential for improvement.
"So, if I connect a part of my consciousness to it now, will it be effective?" Aisen retracted his gaze from the window and muttered to himself.
Then, he closed his eyes and began to try.
A moment later, when Aisen connected a part of his consciousness to the laplace's demon Supercomputer through the contract, he instantly felt as if his head had completely "emptied out."
The moment he opened his eyes, countless data seemed to refresh in Aisen's pupils. The table, chairs, cabinet, door, stand, books, length, size, weight, room temperature, air humidity, and so on—all sorts of data were calculated.
He felt as if he could calculate everything he saw, but his brain felt no discomfort.
"This feeling is great!" Aisen stretched out his hand and waved it a few times in the air. "But, the speed of thought? It hasn't changed much?"
Aisen bounced around the room for a few circles, feeling that his conscious reaction speed had not increased as he had imagined.
This was quite strange!
"Did I get my Ideas wrong?" After a moment of deliberation, Aisen temporarily granted a portion of the permissions to the laplace's demon Supercomputer in the Dream World, allowing it to become a true laplace's demon.
Immediately after, Aisen opened his eyes, and the moment his consciousness connected to the laplace's demon, his entire being instantly felt a flicker of disorientation. Then he discovered that he still only possessed powerful computational ability and could not adjust his perception of time or increase the speed of his consciousness.
This result both greatly surprised Aisen and, immediately after, seemed to him to be within reason.
"Alright, a laplace's demon created through such cheating probably can't feedback into reality." Withdrew the permissions granted to the laplace's demonSupercomputer, severed the conscious connection, Aisenturned and sat back down at his desk.
Perhaps, when the Laplace's Demon System running in the Dream World can directly leverage the time or space of the Dream World through its underlying runic architecture, then it will be able to feedback into reality!
Wait––no, that's not right! The Dream World is constructed through the Dream God Spell combined with his own memories and cognition. Although it simulates the real world, it is not actually the real world.
That is to say, not only does it simulate everything in the real world, but even magic and runes are also simulations—this—I'm afraid it will still need continuous adjustment, just like the experiments done in the Dream World!
No, no, perhaps the subtle differences are even more unimaginable.
At this thought, Aisen's brows furrowed.
Previously, because magic existed in the real world, his synchronized simulation of reality in the Dream World, including the simulation of various Charms and runes, was merely a simulation.
Because of this, although he could spend time in the Dream World conducting experiments such as the deconstruction and combination of Charms or runes, he would still need to make adjustments in the real world in the end.
Only then could the experiments he conducted in the Dream World continue to progress in the real world.
But if that were the case, wouldn't Aisen's idea of building a laplace's demon in the Dream World that could interfere with, or even dominate, reality be completely ruined?
Aisen's expression changed slightly, showing a hint of dejection. But then, as if he had thought of something, he shook his head vigorously.
"No hurry, no hurry, hmm—change my approach, yes, change my approach!" Aisen muttered to himself and continued to ponder.
The problem Aisen currently faced was that there were differences between the Dream World and the real world. If one didn't pay attention, these differences might not be so obvious.
Just like when he previously played immersive games in the Dream World, trained Harry, Hermione, and others, and researched Charm experiments himself in the Dream World, there were differences in these situations, but they were basically similar.
Taking the Trio's combat training in the Dream World as an example, due to their strength, or perhaps due to their lack of thorough understanding, the gains they obtained after long periods of combat in the Dream World could basically be fed back into the real world. Of course, part of the reason was that Aisen's strength could support such feedback.
As for Aisen himself, due to his strength and his preference for getting to the root of things during experiments, the feedback to the real world might have a slight deviation.
This was also why he needed to make subtle adjustments in the real world to the experiments he had already done or the spells he had already created in the Dream World.
Of course, this was still acceptable.
Currently, according to his speculation, once a laplace's demon was developed, considering the abilities a laplace's demon should possess, the difference between the Dream World and the real world would likely be infinitely magnified before it.
Presumably, this was also why the laplace's demon in the Dream World was ineffective in the real world. Oh, it wasn't completely ineffective; at the very least, its ability to perform various calculations and simulations like a supercomputer was still effective.
Although Aisen had just experienced it, the feeling of possessing powerful computational ability was quite good. But the problem was, he wanted a laplace's demonthat could dominate all of reality, and he wanted the ultimate speed of thought, not just powerful computational ability.
So, as he said before, to advance this plan, he had to change his approach.
For example—synchronizing the laplace's demondeveloped in the Dream World with the real world.
Simply put, it meant building a supercomputer in the real world as well, and then replicating the laplace's demonSupercomputer from the Dream World into the real world.
Hmm, it couldn't be completely copied.
To prevent the laplace's demon that could run smoothly in the Dream World from becoming completely ineffective in the real world, the supercomputer built in the real world had to be modified and adjusted.
As for the difficulty of successfully creating a laplace's demon in the real world, it would probably far exceed his expectations.
"But luckily, using runes as the underlying architecture of the system means that at least in the real world, it can also leverage the power of magic—hmm? Using magic to dominate everything in the real world, a combination of science fiction and fantasy? It seems feasible!" As if he had thought of something, a glimmer of realization flashed in Aisen's eyes, and then he smiled and shook his head.
Forget it, thinking too much makes my head hurt—I'll just take it one step at a time!
...
The next morning, when Aisen walked out of his office, strolled down the corridor, and slowly arrived at the Great Hall, he noticed that the weather outside had become a bit gloomy.
Owls flew in from outside, flapping their feathers continuously as they landed in front of the Young Wizards. They were clearly covered in some of the mist from the air.
The Young Wizards chatted animatedly among themselves while enjoying their food.
"Yawn…" Amidst their conversation, a yawn suddenly broke out. Then, as if contagious, it quickly spread through the crowd.
Clearly, these students were all first-year new students.
It was probably because they were too excited after attending the welcoming feast the night before, which led to them staying up late and feeling sleepy in the morning.
When Aisen appeared on the stone steps at the main entrance outside the antechamber, several people were already waiting there.
"Good morning, Professor Aisen!" "Good morning, Professor!" Hermione, and Colin Creevey beside her, greeted him warmly.
"Good morning, Hermione, and Colin, you too!" Aisensmiled and nodded. Then, he looked at the other few people.
Harry, Malfoy, Padma, and Hannah stood quietly to one side. Dumbledore handed each of them some items, then came to Aisen and gave him something.
"This is—" Aisen took it with a surprised expression, "A passport, a plane ticket, and a visa?"
"That's right! Since the 'Justice' school is not registered with the International Wizarding Federation, you will have to go through Muggle World procedures!" Dumbledore nodded and said.
"Is that so?" Aisen nodded, flipping open the visa. The destination—China—immediately startled him.
Goodness, no wonder it wasn't registered with the International Wizarding Federation. He remembered very clearly that information about the Chinese Wizarding World in the original work was basically a blank slate.
The only bits of information were things like, "Zou Yan from the late Warring States period was a master alchemist," "Dragons like the Chinese Fireball," and "China's Quidditch team reached the finals in a certain future year and even won second place."
Well, it seems like Qilin and Zouwu were also mentioned in "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," but that was all.
How to put it? Anyway, ever since entering the Wizarding World, Aisen only now realized that China in this world seemed even more mysterious than in his previous life.
"Professor Dumbledore, are you sure the destination on there is correct?" With a few thoughts running through his mind, Aisen pointed to a section on the visa and asked.
"Of course, it's correct. I know that country is very mysterious, but believe me, it's relatively—friendly—to outsiders. As long as you don't violate local laws and rules!" Dumbledore smiled.
Hmm, yes, that's right! No wonder the school is called 'Zhengyi,' it makes sense now!
"But, how do we solve one problem?" Aisen put away his passport and visa, then his expression turned serious as he continued, "I mean, how do we communicate? The people there don't speak English!"
He hadn't thought about this before, assuming Harry and the others were just going to some corner of Europe as exchange students, so language wouldn't be an issue. After all, while English isn't the native language of some countries, most people can still speak it.
But he didn't expect that the place they were going to required speaking Chinese.
Well, Chinese is Chinese, that's no problem for Aisen. But wouldn't Harry and the other students have a headache?
"That's exactly what I was going to say, a few trinkets can solve this problem." Dumbledore said, taking out a few—badges—from his robe. He then handed them to Aisenand Harry and the others.
Aisen took the badge in his hand, rubbing it, and sensed a hidden magic fluctuation. Clearly, these badges were magic alchemy tools.
The badge was only the size of a Galleon, and it felt like metal. The front of the badge was carved with images of a lion, eagle, badger, and snake, with an "H" in the middle, which was the Hogwarts school crest.
"It can solve the language problem?" Aisen's face showed a hint of curiosity.
"Harry, and all of you, you can wear it on your chest now!" Dumbledore didn't answer, but instead spoke directly to Harry and the others.
"Next, please take out your wands and tap the badge twice lightly!" After they had worn the badges on their chests, Dumbledore instructed them again.
"Is it like this?" Harry took out his wand and tapped the badge on his chest twice, then asked aloud. Malfoy, Hannah, and Padma also tapped their badges twice with their wands.
The voice that suddenly came from Dumbledore's mouth, "Hello, can you understand what I'm saying?" made Aisenstunned for a moment.
He looked at Dumbledore with a strange expression, opened his mouth, but said nothing. The reason for his expression was that Dumbledore's previous sentence was in Chinese.
Although his accent was very strange, every word he spoke was still relatively clear.
What? Dumbledore also speaks Parseltongue and Gobbledegook? Oh, never mind then!
As a language genius, it didn't seem too outrageous for Dumbledore to speak Chinese.
"Professor, why do you ask?" Harry looked at Dumbledore strangely, casually responding. However, what he didn't know was that his reply to Dumbledoreseemed to have been automatically translated into Chinese.
Aisen noticed that as Dumbledore spoke, the badges on Harry and the others' chests seemed to flicker. He looked at Harry and the others again and found that they didn't seem to notice anything unusual.
At this point, he already understood what was going on.
Isn't this just a magic version of a simultaneous interpreter? Tapping it twice with a wand acts as its on/off switch.
Then, when others speak Chinese, those words sound like English to Harry and the others' ears. And the words spoken by Harry and the others will be automatically translated into Chinese.
Tsk tsk—, it's really amazing!
"Alright, I already understand what's going on!" Aisenreached out and patted Harry on the shoulder, "Remember, this badge can let you understand foreign languages, and it can also let others understand what you're saying. That's enough!"
At this moment, two or three students walked by from the foyer, looking at Aisen with curiosity in their eyes.
"Alright, it's getting late, you should depart!" Dumbledoresaid to Aisen, stepping aside to motion.
"We're leaving already?" Aisen couldn't help but sigh.
"Oh, right, here, someone will pick you up at the airport then!" Dumbledore seemed to remember something and slipped a piece of paper to Aisen.
"With all due respect, when Harry and the others go, will the relevant expenses and textbooks be provided there?" Aisen took the note and saw a name written on it.
"That's right!" Dumbledore nodded.
"Alright!" Aisen nodded, scanning around, looking at the oak doors on both sides of the stone steps and letting out a long breath.
"Professor, goodbye! Harry, goodbye!" Hermione pursed her lips, then waved towards Aisen!
"Goodbye, Hermione! And, Professor Dumbledore, goodbye!" Aisen smiled and waved back.
…
"Professor, how do we get to 'Zhengyi' school?" As the group followed Aisen, heading towards Hogsmeade Station, Hannah Abbott suddenly asked.
"By plane, of course. Dumbledore should have given you the tickets, right?" Aisen said casually.
"Is it this piece of paper?" Hannah held the ticket, flipping it over and over several times.
"That's right, this is the ticket!" Harry spoke first.
"Harry, do you know how to fly on a plane?" Padmacuriously leaned close to Harry and whispered.
Hearing Padma's question, Hannah's eyes darted, and she stared intently at Harry, clearly also very curious about the question.
"I know what a plane is, it's the fastest mode of transportation in the Muggle World, but I've never ridden one!" Harry nodded then shook his head.
"Are we going to attend 'Zhengyi' school like Muggles?" Hannah asked excitedly.
"Didn't Dumbledore say so? We can only go to that school according to the Muggle World's procedures!" Padma shook her head, taking out her passport and visa and other documents to show them.
"I wonder what that 'Zhengyi' school is like?" Harry said, showing a little worry.
"Don't worry, you're just exchange students, it's not like you're going to live there forever, what are you afraid of?" Aisen's casual remark dispelled their concerns.
Immediately after, as if thinking of something, Aisencontinued: "Oh, right, have you all told your families about your plans?"
"We have!" "They all know!"
Hearing Aisen's words, they all nodded.
About ten minutes later, when everyone arrived at Hogsmeade Station, Harry and the others became confused.
Because the Hogwarts Express was not parked next to Hogsmeade Station!
"Professor, how do we leave? The Hogwarts Expressdoesn't seem to be here!" Harry looked at Aisen.
"Take out your wand and hold it above your head!" Aisen's expression remained unchanged, and he said calmly to Harry.
"Does Professor mean—the Knight Bus?" Harry showed a look of sudden realization, then took out his wand and held it up.
Whoosh—
In just three minutes, a three-story, purple-painted bus appeared before everyone's eyes. It seemed to emerge suddenly from the air, and the words "Knight Bus" were formed in golden letters on the bus's windshield.
