That evening, in the Hufflepuff common room.
Karl, who had already issued a hero's summons, was waiting for everyone to arrive.
Besides attending Herbology Class that afternoon, he spent the rest of his time haggling with Madam Pince in the library.
Karl lost.
As soon as he got close to the Restricted Section, Madam Pince would appear like a ghost.
And she would be holding a duster that looked battle-worn, ready to shoo people away at any moment.
Should he try again at night?
But the problem was, just because Harry could, didn't mean he could too.
There were many dangerous Dark Arts books in the library's Restricted Section; Karl would be the first to disbelieve if there were no protective or warning magicspells set up.
Maybe as soon as he opened a Dark Arts book, a white-bearded old man with a large red bird would pop out.
The kind with blue eyes, a crooked nose, and a smiling face, which was much scarier than Dark Arts.
Where could he learn the Fiendfyre Curse? Or perhaps...
Just as Karl was getting a headache, Judy arrived, carrying Fire Treasure and leading Audrey and the Four Great Vajras.
That's right, the hero's summons was delivered by Fire Treasure.
Karl had already discovered that Fire Treasure's appeal to Little Witch was off the charts; even Prefect Judy couldn't resist.
However, the effect on the young Wizards seemed a bit weaker, as several of them had troubled expressions.
"What's wrong with you?"
Summers replied weakly, "The Potion Class homework is too much, and it's especially difficult. Cedric and I have been working on it for hours and still haven't finished."
Karl looked at Cedric in surprise, "You find it difficult? No way, right?"
It was normal for a 'study puff' like Summers to be stumped by homework, but how could a straight-A student like Cedric be the same?
Cedric looked at Summers with a melancholic gaze, then silently lifted his head to stare at the ceiling.
Although he said nothing, he actually said everything.
Karl understood and gave Cedric a sympathetic look.
It seemed to be the same everywhere: not afraid of an opponent like a Dragon, only afraid of a teammate like a Troll.
"What's up with you two?"
Shabi and Stebbins were sprawled on the sofa, which made Karl think of a classic meme.
"We have Transfiguration Class tomorrow morning, and we haven't finished our homework yet."
"Bro, wasn't that yesterday's homework?"
"Does it make a difference? The difficulty of the homework won't decrease. Someone who gets extra points like you wouldn't understand."
"Someone like what?"
"Someone who gets extra points!"
Karl suddenly realized, "Oh right! I almost forgot if you hadn't mentioned it!"
Shabi, Stebbins: (¬_¬)
"Ahem!"
Ignoring their disdainful looks, Karl turned his gaze to Prefect Judy, who was playing with Fire Treasure.
"Prefect, Headmaster Dumbledore asked me to deliver a message to you."
Judy elegantly tilted her long neck, "What did the Headmaster say?"
Then Karl recounted his conversation with Dumbledore in the Headmaster's office.
After Judy listened, a joyful gleam flashed in her eyes, and the corners of her lips couldn't help but turn up.
"That's great! I've long been fed up with this set of school uniforms that hasn't changed its style for hundreds of years!"
Besides that, the thought of being able to trick... no, to earn Galleons from other pure-blood families made her unable to suppress her excitement.
"Our Hufflepuff 'Peace of Mind Fire Clothes' shop needs to be established as soon as possible!"
Cradling Fire Treasure and rubbing it against her cheek, Judy turned to Stebbins, "Have you talked to Madam Malkin yet?"
Thinking of the gleaming Galleons, Stebbins immediately perked up.
"It's all arranged, it's all arranged! It just takes time to prepare the fabrics and so on, but my mother's craftsmanship is absolutely top-notch!"
Everyone agreed on this, as most Hogwarts students bought their school uniforms and cloaks from Madam Malkin.
"What about the designs?"
Karl, being stared at by Judy, didn't want to speak and pointed to Audrey.
"Hehe, Karl's drawing was too ugly! So I redrew them!"
Audrey took out over a dozen parchment scrolls from her bag and, grinning, handed them around for everyone to see.
"How are they?"
Shabi: "Wow! So these clothes can look so good! I thought..."
Stebbins: "I didn't realize, Audrey, you have this skill!"
Summers: "They really are different, hey! Before, I thought they were pretty much the same!"
Cedric glanced at the expressionless Karl, swallowed the words that were about to come out, and continued to stare at the ceiling.
Watching the few people openly mocking him, Judyalmost couldn't hold back her laughter.
"What are you talking about? Audrey, what you drew is just pretty; Karl's original version is art!"
Karl: (▔, ▔)
You know nothing! This is called a soul painter!
Darn it! I don't want to bother with you guys!
"Oh, right Karl, I received a letter from home. 'the lion, the witch and the wardrobe' and 'Prince Caspian' will be published before Halloween. Aren't you happy?"
Karl raised an eyebrow. Of course he was happy! His hard work copying before the start of term hadn't been in vain!
"Hahaha! Actually, it's fine! How about we discuss the four ways to draw clothes?"
...
Hufflepuff had two classes on Friday morning.
After the lessons ended, Karl received two pieces of news, one good and one bad.
The good news was that Professor McGonagall gave him another five points in Transfiguration Class.
The bad news was that after History of Magic class, Karl asked Professor Binns about the early days of the school's founding, but he didn't get any useful information.
Professor Binns was an excellent Wizard and historian during his lifetime, which was why he was invited by Salazar Slytherin.
When he arrived at the school, the Castle was already built, and he usually didn't pay much attention to anything other than magic and history.
So, in response to Karl's questions, Professor Binns only answered many other things about the school.
For example, Helga was a good cook, Rowena didn't like to go out, Salazar preferred silence, and Godric was the most uninhibited.
Hmm, useless knowledge increased.
Just after finishing lunch, Karl was pulled by Nina out of the Great Hall.
"Where are you taking me?"
Seeing them get further and further away from Hogwarts Castle, Karl sensed something was off.
They had already passed the greenhouses and were walking west along the edge of the vegetable patch.
"The Forbidden Forest, of course. I promised Cho I'd take her exploring this weekend, so for safety's sake, let's scout it out first."
In Hogwarts' class schedule, first-year students had no classes on Friday afternoons.
Besides teaching older students, the Professors also had to deal with first-year students running wild in the Castle, so it was a good time to sneak into the Forbidden Forest.
Karl: (⊙_⊙)
When others transmigrated to Hogwarts, they explored the Forbidden Forest with their companions. Why was it the other way around for him?
"My dear Nina, my best friend, Cho's safety is very important, but what about mine?"
What do you mean? You're taking me to scout ahead?
It's well-known that scouts are a very dangerous profession.
The bodies of certain Yordles could pave the entire Summoner's Rift.
And several layers deep!
