Chapter 132 - Chapter 45: Old Deng's Plan and Being a Stranger in a Foreign Land

Alright, since Dumbledore said so, Karl didn't find it appropriate to offer other opinions.

He could also understand the Principal's good intentions, as the next few years would indeed become increasingly dangerous.

"So what are you going to do?"

"We just need to monitor Elvis Heller and wait for him to act."

Dumbledore tapped the table, a thoughtful look flashing in his eyes.

"If my guess is not wrong, besides Lord Voldemort's Horcrux, he will have other ways to make me leave the school."

"In that case, we'll need to create a false impression at some point, making him think he's succeeded."

"Karl, go and invite Professor Snape over; we need his help."

Uh... this choice is quite particular!

Aside from the Lord Voldemort factor, for Professor Snape, who has always wanted to be the Defense Against the Dark Arts Class Professor, he probably already disliked Elvis Heller.

"Okay, I'll go now."

The Slytherin Dean's office is located in the Castle's dungeon, and the environment is even more eerie than the Potion Class classroom.

If it wasn't for Dumbledore's request, he would never have come here.

Karl pounded on the door twice, then heard a muffled explosion from inside.

Oh, no... did I cause trouble?

It sounded like a cauldron exploded!

After a long silence, the office door was opened from the inside.

Professor Snape appeared, wearing a black robe of a different style than usual, his still-wet hair very noticeable.

Seeing that it was Karl outside the door, his originally angry expression turned to one of distaste.

He looked down his nose at Karl, "Mr. O'Rorin, you'd better have a reasonable explanation for what just happened, otherwise Hufflepuff will lose all its house points because of you."

Karl chuckled, "Esteemed Professor Snape, PrincipalDumbledore requests your presence; it's urgent."

"It had better be!"

Professor Snape slammed the office door shut and walked past Karl, his robe swishing.

Karl rubbed his nose; what kind of Potion was that? It smelled so strange!

...

Since the conversation in the Principal's office that day, Karl's life had returned to peace.

Elvis Heller seemed to have amnesia and never sought him out again.

Professor Snape had been quite busy for the past month, not even mocking the Young Wizards during class.

Karl wanted to discuss with Principal Dumbledorewhether they could tell Professor Snape about Lord Voldemort's Horcrux and its destruction.

He wanted Professor Snape to thank him properly; at the very least, teaching him Sectumsempra wouldn't be too much, would it?

The sun rose and the moon set; time flew by like a white colt passing a crevice.

Under the pretext of helping Cho experience her hometown's life, Karl pulled his companions along and celebrated the Spring Festival at Hogwarts.

The Young Wizards were very enthusiastic about celebrating festivals, just as people in his previous life would celebrate Western holidays, simply as an excuse to have some fun.

Karl applied to Professor McGonagall for a classroom to hold the Spring Festival party.

However, because he hadn't watched the Spring Festival Gala in too long, in terms of flow, it could only be considered a party.

Fortunately, Eastern Wizards also celebrate the Spring Festival, so Prefect Judy brought many festive items like red lanterns and window decorations.

"Karl, what about the Spring Festival couplets?"

Cho pulled Karl to a corner, her face showing a difficult expression.

It seemed that Eastern Wizards were still accustomed to doing things themselves, so what was sold wasn't already-written ones.

Karl gave Cho a puzzled look, "You can't write them?"

"Although my family puts them up, I never paid attention to what was written on them."

Cho scratched her head helplessly; the only couplet-related thing she knew was 'Heaven matches earth, rain matches wind, continent matches vast sky; mountain flowers match sea trees, crimson sun matches azure dome.'

But these contents certainly wouldn't work on Spring Festival couplets.

"Alright, leave it to me."

Karl picked up the complimentary brush and wrote in Chinese, "Joy fills the Castle for a thousand years of prosperity, blessings shine on the school for success in all endeavors."

Finally, blending East and West, the horizontal scroll was written in English: 'Hogwarts Forever Young.'

Although it was a bit of a mishmash, the sentiment was there, and there was no need to be too particular.

"You're amazing, Karl! You're more like a Chinese descendant than I am! My mom and dad would definitely love you!"

As soon as Cho finished speaking, Karl felt someone watching him.

He turned his head and, as expected, it was Cedric; well, no problem there.

"Of course! I must have been a Chinese person in my past life! How do you like my calligraphy?"

Cho gave a thumbs up, "You're right! You really are right!"

So the unspeakable Karl continued to instruct others in decorating the room.

Nina seemed to really like the window decorations; after learning they were cut out, she quickly started trying.

"How is it? Any progress?"

Karl leaned over to look and, good heavens, she had pioneered abstract window decorations.

"It's too hard; I can't cut it well at all."

Nina moved her somewhat sore fingers, deciding to give up on cutting window decorations herself; it was better to just admire them.

"It's okay, I'll teach you when I learn."

Karl patted her head to comfort her, then quickly went to stop the Weasley Brothers, "Don't stick the Spring Festival couplets upside down!"

He had only walked a few steps when Nina's voice came from behind him, "Karl!"

"Huh?"

"Happy Spring Festival!"

Karl smiled brightly, "Thank you, Nina! Happy Spring Festival!"

No sooner had he finished putting up the couplets than shouts erupted from the other side.

Audrey: "Karl, what are these dough and fillings for? Are we making pizza?"

"Making a hammer of a pizza! I'll teach you all how to make dumplings later!"

Shabi: "Do they need to be baked?"

"No! Boil them in a pot!"

Stebbins: "Uh... in a cauldron?"

"Throw away that broken pot that boiled slugs! Use the one I borrowed from the kitchen!"

Cedric: "What about these Galleons?"

"They've all been cleaned; we'll put them inside the dumplings later. Eating one means you'll have good luck all year!"

As soon as he said this, Judy, Summers, Julia, Marietta, Katie, Cormac, Derian, and others all gathered around, unnoticed.

They were already ready to make marks; nothing else mattered, but good luck was very important.

Derian stroked his chin and began to ponder: "Are these Galleons a bit too few?"

Judy clapped her hands, "Good point! Let's go! Let's clean another basin of Galleons and bring them over!"

Karl: ... (_ _)ノ|

Alright, alright! Is this how we're playing?

Will there still be filling inside the dumplings? Or will they all be Galleons?

The starting point was quite good, but next time, please don't start!

...

It turned out that Karl's Spring Festival party was very successful.

His companions participated enthusiastically, eating and drinking, and having a particularly good time.

So much so that when the Lantern Festival party was held, not only students from Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Gryffindor came.

Even some Slytherin Young Wizards, who didn't like to associate with non-pureblood Wizards, were dragged along by Derian.

It was on this night that the Weasley Brothers brought Karl good news.

"Karl, Professor Heller seems to be looking for secret passages in the Castle recently."

"That's right, he already found one last night, and he stayed in there for a long time."

Karl's heart stirred; was this guy finally going to start?
